It's pretty clear bro doesn't have any idea what he's doing for the site. I am pretty glad I didn't start writing on it or else I would have to be dedicated to it.... he's winging everything from the layout to the information.
When I joined I thought it would be an honest look at games and why they are brilliant. He has someone currently writing about how megaman is bad for SSB and how it should die since Keiji Inafune is no longer around... this poses many issues.
First, I love megaman... but that's besides the point. I was under the impression all of our reviews and posts would be honest and sincere. Secondly... he's trying to take in viewers from a hate post.... Ugh. He's raking in viewers on a site that barely has anything... nub mistake.
Third... you can write about whatever you want, but you must make sure you get your facts straight. Keiji Inafune created Megaman X 1 through 8. The Megaman that is being introduced in super smash brothers is nintendos. He was created by Akiro Kidamura in the 1980's. These simple facts breaks every piece of his logic as he is ignorant to them. I tried to convince him not to make the post but it will end in failure. Perhaps I am judging too soon, but all the same... there is absolutely no reason for such a thing to be posted on a site where these things should be enjoyable.
I am disappointed beyond the words I type, and am defecting from the site already until he gains control of his own problems. With a mentality like that, I am deeming it a failure for the time being. The news you find on the site will be legit. I encourage you to use it to find obscure games however, the written reviews are terrible. It will be hard to point them out since he doesn't even have a separate category for them.

Wait, wha? Abandon ship, it's time to become the Onion of gaming news! If you're going to trash good games for dumb reasons, do it in a silly way people can relate to and make it clear that you're just poking fun at it and add in some legitimate positive points if you want. Straight up writing crap for negative attention isn't a wise idea.
"Monster Hunter 3DS flies off shelves after confusing demo"
"I felt so lost," Jonathan Shelby, 17 said. "but I had to preorder the game immediately. It feels good to feel hateful and confused towards something that's isn't my charming and witty English teacher Mr. Clarkson."
^ Example of Onion-style game reporting

Toontastic Wait, wha? Abandon ship, it's time to become the Onion of gaming news! "but I had to preorder the game immediately. It feels good to feel hateful and confused towards something that's isn't my charming and witty English teacher Mr. Clarkson." ^ Example of Onion-style game reporting I love this, but he's sincere about everything that's posted. His new writer is terrible and at best the site will most likely become like IGN or Gametrailers. FF VIII and Megaman aren't even obscure, which defeats almost the entire purpose of the site. Nichegamer was supposed to be educated factual reviews with mild to hot humor.... He mine as well just have said "You can mod FF VIII because it's a steam game now." His humor was there, but it was done to the point he seemed aggravated... and it wasn't factual, it was simply the fact you can mod things. See, right now I am basically doing Brandon's job. As far as the megaman thing goes, there's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying a franchise. He's claiming that the fans need to die along with keiji inafune... which is absurd. As I said, that's nintendo's megaman not Keiji's... and it's fine to appreciate an iconic character. No one wants to roll over you because you like something. That's a terrible thought. I understand Brandon wanted the site to be opinionated. That's not the type of recognition I want. He's crazy for views but people are going to see that, and than leave. rofl absolute terrible logic as the site's half done. Lesson one: You have something good going on, take your time and put passion into it. Don't screw it up right away.

I thought it would be opinionated but I didn't think it would be hating on games. Everyone has a type they really like. Just label the pros and cons for peeps to get a better grip of what they are going to purchase and do it in a fun way. That's what would have separated us from the others.
