History: Hotaru is the daughter of the Lord of the Southern Lands, Kaijin.Her mother is the daughter of the previous Lord of the Southern Lands, Kiyomi. She grew up with love and has always looked for ways to help people. She always spent her days with her family and the people of the Southern Lands. She was always a curious pup, getting into trouble more often than not. Every new moon, she would spend with her mother during her human nights up until she died. She and her father is all that is left. Her father has a marraige contract between her and Sesshomaru, heir to the Western Lands. She was also raised knowing her destiny as guardian of the ancient weapons.
Personality: Hotaru is a very sweet girl, always trusting and happy. She believes the best in everyone and is easily hurt by cruel words. She can be strong though on occasion.
Other: Her grandmother was once human but was turned into a Inu Youkai by an evil youkai. She still carries the pendant around her neck. The pendant is a symbol of eternity.
