■ Personality ■ General: T.J. is a tomboy down to boot. Despite that, she doesn’t favor guys. She’s equally likely to be seen with a pack of guys as with a group of girls. This is simply because T.J. doesn’t distinguish between the genders and since she doesn’t notice, guys treat her like she’s just one of the guys and girls generally think she’s feisty, small, and refreshing. A part of this is because she has no awareness of her own gender as well—though she knows she’s a girl, she doesn’t believe she has to act any differently with guys. She’s been surrounded by her three older brothers while growing up and they’d pick on her just as if she were a guy.
Being raised with a bunch of guys, T.J. is rather loud and abrasive. She’s also very impulsive and doesn’t of the consequences of her actions beforehand. It’s almost hilarious how brave she is, willing to go pick a fight with whoever she pleases, especially when she’s not only eleven years old, but tiny for her age. Habits: T.J. has a bad habit of sitting with her legs spread out and since her mother didn’t want her flashing her panties to the world, T.J. is either always in pants or has knee length leggings on underneath her skirts (when in uniform). T.J. also tends to sprawl out no matter where she is. She’s the sort of person who has little awareness of her surroundings and what’s considered polite and proper. Another bad habit she has is tending to eat her food too quickly. By the time everyone’s just taking that first bite, T.J. would have already gorged herself on food. Hobbies: Throw any sort of athletic at T.J. and she’d love it just like all the rest. Not only does she like being physically active, she’s also hopelessly competitive. While she won’t go as far as to have a legitimate grudge against someone, if she does lose a competition, more than likely she’ll be pestering the other person for a rematch. The sport she’s really into right now is Muggle basketball which she plays with her grandfather occasionally. Along with basketball, T.J. is trying to get on the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team when she’s old enough. Her brothers are trying to convince her to be a Seeker because of her small build, but T.J. likes being in more of the action than that so perhaps a Beater or a Chaser. Likes: As vague as it is, T.J. enjoys doing anything “fun.” She can find amusement in the strangest things but most of the things she considers as fun involves some sort of adrenaline rush or at least an increase in heart beat. T.J. almost has a infinite supply of energy—she rarely ever gets tired when she’s doing something she likes and she’s able to focus solely on whatever it is she’s doing, however, when she isn’t amused, T.J. is rather hard to deal with. Dislikes: T.J. is rather bad at studying and almost all sort of school work. Her intention span isn’t made out for her. She often struggles with academics and just feels stupid and frustrated when she doesn’t (especially since she’s so competitive and athletics come naturally to her).

■ Family ■ Mother: Maria Sherman – ½ Blood Wizard – House Wife Maria Sherman was born in American to a wizard and a muggle. Her father, Thomas Sherman, was a muggle who loved her mother regardless of what she was. Before Maria Sherman met her husband, she was home schooled in America until she was fifteen and was later sent abroad to Hogwarts where she attended as a Hufflepuff. She met her future husband at Hogwarts and by their seventh year, they were in a relationship. A year or two after graduation, the two of them were married and expecting. Father: Jeremy Townsend – Muggleborn Wizard – Auror Jeremy Townsend was born in England to two Muggles. While growing up, he felt he could do extraordinary things, things that a normal kid shouldn’t be able to do… and the summer of his eleventh year, Jeremy received the news from one of the Hogwarts Professors that he was a wizard and he was invited to attend Hogwarts. He attended the school as a Gryffindor and later became an Auror after marrying Maria. Siblings: Jasper Townsend – 24 – Ravenclaw Hogwarts Graduate – Auror Trevor Townsend – 18 – Gryffindor Hogwarts Graduate – Professional Quidditch Player Hector Townend – 17 – Gryffindor Hogwarts Graduate – Studying to be an Auror
Extended Family: Thomas Sherman – Grandfather (Mother’s Side) - Muggle Thomas Sherman has always been a big part of the lives of all the Townsend kids. T.J. was named after him. Margaret Sherman – Grandmother (Mother’s Side) – Wizard – Deceased Alexis Sherman – Aunt (Mother’s Side) – Wizard Isaiah Sherman – Cousin (Mother’s Side) Seth Sherman – Grandfather (Father’s Side) – Muggle – Accountant Francis Sherman – Grandmother (Mother’s Side) – Muggle - Nurse
Relationship With Family: T.J. gets along well with her parents. They rarely have anything to bicker about. Her brothers, on the other hand, are an entirely different story. It's hard to stop the kids from bickering and teasing each other relentlessly.

■ History ■ General History: After Maria and Jeremy were married, their first son Jasper was quickly on the way. Both of the parents’ heads were up in the clouds about having a child and by the time Jasper came around, they were stressed and bewildered. They ran to their mothers, picked up as many baby books as possible, and began frantically reading. The two of them were very much in some sort of illusion that building a family would be easy and manageable, even when Jeremy was training to become an Auror. They were wildly unprepared, but things got better through the help of Jeremy’s mother, who often watched over Jasper.
Things settled a lot as Jasper grew. Jeremy became a fully fledged Auror and the stress on the Townsend household alleviated. When Jasper was around five years old, Maria and Jeremy sat down and decided they wanted more children. Soon, Trevor was on the way and two years later, Hector came into the world. Maria and Jeremy were surprised on how rowdy these boys could be, once again pleasantly naive about how much work it took to raise three boys. They toughed it out, however, and adapted… but just from the pure amount of rambunctiousness, the parents decided to wait to have more children.
Maria always wanted a little girl and Jeremy was more than happy to oblige. Being an only child himself, he decided more the merrier so thirteen years after their first born came into this world, Tommy Jae Townsend entered in screaming.
Growing up, T.J. had to deal with a lot of crap with her brothers. At first it was “Oh look, what an adorable little defenseless baby! We must all protect her!” and then as T.J. became cognitive, began speaking for herself, she became one of the boys. She was free game for torments and pranks—and being the youngest and the most naïve one out of all of them, T.J. was an obvious target. Her parents weren’t the best at fending the boys off either so T.J. had no choice. It was either toughen up or be smothered by the testosterone and muscles.
Despite her tiny stature, T.J. fought back with all her might and quickly settled in as soon as the brothers realized she wouldn’t take any crap from them without a fight. Not to mention, they were growing older. They had less time to torment and taunt their little sister and it turned into most of them just teasing her about being so boyish or being stupid. Just normal sibling things. They actually had a nice relationship going on for a long time.
All of her brothers moved out of the house after they graduated and began to do their own things but as if a saving grace, T.J. was sent her Hogwarts Letter the summer after the youngest brother graduated so she didn’t have time to mope in her brothers’ absences.

■ Miscellaneous ■ The Sorting: ”Whoa!” T.J. exclaimed, looking wide eyed around the main entrance. I had heard stories of this place… Floating candles, hanging tapestries… GHOSTS! ”This place is awesome!” She announced to her neighbor with a toothy grin. They never said how big this place was! This dining hall looked like it was fit to serve a king! Her brothers told her stories about food at Hogwarts—oh drool! If for nothing else, T.J. was ecstatic just to taste all the meat!
Bang! T.J. blinked and stumbled backwards. When had the kid in front of her stopped? She ran smack into the square of his back. ”Owww…” she grumbled, though she quickly recovered at the sight of the Sorting Hat. Her brothers spun some outrageous tale about how the Hat actually took a bite out of your head in order to sort the student, but T.J. doubted that was true. At least she hoped not. I like my head… She thought, watching the reaction of the first student as they sat down and the hat was placed on their head. No cringe! That meant no bite! Yes! T.J. wasn’t sure what she was going to do if that was true!
T.J. stood all jittery as she watched first year after first year sit on the stool and have the hat plopped on their head. Where am I going to placed? She didn’t really give much thought to it before now… Two of her brothers and her father were in Gryffindor so T.J. could see that happening but Jasper was in Ravenclaw and no way that was happening! T.J. loathed studying of any sort! And mom was in Hufflepuff… ”Tommy Jae Townsend!”
With a leap, T.J. scampered up and jumped on the stool, her feet no longer touching the ground. ”Hm… Not exactly a thinker, are you?” T.J. grinned sheepishly and rubbed her neck. Well. It got her there! ”And enough brains to be a Slytherin…”
”Hey! You’re pretty rude for a stupid hat!” T.J. muttered, glowering up at the hat.
The hat paused at that comment. Oh, Merlin’s Beard! Is he not going to sort me because I insulted him?! Her brothers would have a field day out of that! But the hat soon called out something that made T.J. sigh with relief.
”Hufflepuff!”
Patronus: Boggart: A black whirl came flying out of the closet, twisting and contorting until it formed a young girl in a wheelchair. T.J.’s stomach dropped. That’s not... As soon as she thought it, the figure turned and T.J. saw her own face reflected back at her. Except she looked tired. Lack-luster. Immobile. ”R-ridikulus!” T.J. shouted, thrusting her wand at the image of herself. Her body contorted till it turned back into that black whirl, jumping over to another student.
(Explanation: So much of T.J.’s character is based on her ability to be athletic and that’s very much everything she finds enjoyable so as a young girl, to lose that is her greatest fear.) Mirror of Erised: The mirror shows T.J. with awards, muggle and wizarding alike. Championship of the Quidditch Cup, star of a basketball team, and her family still behind her.
