Quote:
The City of Twilight has two times of 'day'--sunset and night. The twin moons that hang in the sky and the stars that fill it can be seen during both of these times, though during sunset only about a handful of stars are visible.
This town, like the whole of the Nocturne Server, is nearly constantly bathed in the cool dark of night. Nonetheless, the city and its citizens are quite lively.

The buildings that make up the city are made of mostly brick or stone in a Baroque architecture style, giving the city both a grand and historical feel. Old fashioned street lamps lit by flames that never seem to go out occupy the streetcorners, while the sidewalks have more modern lights embedded in the pavement to light the way--the buildings have lights above the doorways, and in the windows as well.

There are four gates leading in and out of the city, one at each point of the compass--North, South, East, and West. Various shops for supplies are at each of these gates to allow those coming or going to restock easily. To the North are the Rising Falls, the Grand Cathedral beyond them. To the South lies the Serynn Jungle. In the East, the Fields of Blue can be found after passing through the Labyrinth Gardens. To the West are other lands waiting to be explored--but be warned, beyond the Western River are monsters that are strong even by Nocturne Server standards.

Avery sighed as she spawned again in the middle of the City of Twilight. "It's been too long," she said, smiling as she looked up at the glimmering stars. Having spent a long time adventuring and then on a hiatus, she was ready to get in on some action again. Except, well, first she needed to find some.

She glanced around, looking to see if there was anybody who could give her a Quest, but didn't see much. Then again, her night vision was not as good as it could have been. Avery instead pulled out her map and quickly decided that she wanted to go to the Southern Gate to do some exploring in the Serynn Jungle. She chuckled."I love being a White Mage." It basically meant that she could explore anywhere and keep herself alive, as long as she didn't draw too much attention. "Still,", she said to herself, "it might be nice to have some companions...or maybe an official Quest, even." Not that it was too important, she'd have fun regardless. Tucking the map away, Avery began to walk down the street towards the targeted Gate at a leisurely pace.

Sinna logged on and looked around the City of Twilight. Looking around he smiled slightly to see the beautiful town where the moonlight shone down on the buildings and gave them a silvery look. Wandering through the town he headed to find Quests. Spotting Avery he was surprised but he smiled as he shyly approached her. He didn't remember seeing the red haired woman before, but he supposed it was because he didn't spend much looking for people.

Politely he bowed his head to her, seeing her headed to the Southern Gate. He didn't know how many people were around today but he hoped he could party with someone. It was hard to do a Quest alone as a White Mage. Most all of his magic was defense based and so made it hard to fight on his own. But he had trouble coming up to strangers and asking to join their party so he didn't speak to Avery, just shyly acknowledged her as she passed. Looking around he tried to see if he could find some place to get a Quest or maybe be contacted to join a party to help them with a Quest.

Right as she was about to go up to the highest-level player visible and ask for help, Avery locked eyes with a young man close to her age. Unlike her own equipment, which was probably designed with thieves in mind, he was wearing proper White Mage armor and a long staff not unlike the one Avery had used to wield. She smiled, and opened her mouth to greet him, but before she could get a word out, Sinna gave her a nod and walked away. "..."

Avery was a little bit confused. It was clear that the man was a little bit lost, or maybe was just looking around for somebody. But perhaps he needed a little bit of help finding them...after all, it was a large world. The red-haired woman walked over to him and smiled. "Hey, are you looking for somebody?"

When Avery spoke to him Sinna jumped, blushing and nervously fidgeting as she asked if he was looking for anyone. "N-Not anyone in particular, but I was looking to see if anyone needed an extra party member for a Quest or if I could find a Quest that wouldn't be too hard," he said softly. He nervously touched his magic staff, playing with the blue jewels. "I-I'm sorry for not saying anything when I passed you earlier," he mumbled, feeling bad about not doing more to acknowledge her though he was uncomfortable talking with people.

User Image Chris logged in. "Chris Ahari, active." Chris looked around, still learning most of the controls. He noticed two people whose levels were closer to his. A white mage, and a... he wasn't sure. He did need a party... and a white mage would balance out his attack magic.

He walked toward them slowly. "Um, greetings. I am Chris Ahari, black mage." He noticed he was interrupting a conversation, "Oh, I apologize for interrupting."

Avery grinned widely, shaking her head. "Ah, come on, you've got to be more assertive than that!" She reached out and grabbed his shoulder reassuringly. "We're both White Mages, but that just means that we can explore even longer." Now that she had found somebody to adventure with, she was incredibly happy...and not only was her new companion a White Mage like her, he needed a bit of pepping up. "Let's just wrangle up one more party member who will deal some damage, and then we can go have some fun." She didn't even have to look around for this person, because Chris had just come up to them.

"Nice to meet you, Chris. I'm An-...Avery! And don't worry about it, we were just done," she said. "And this is...uh, well." She waited for her companion to introduce himself.

Sinna blushed slightly as Avery grabbed his shoulder, nodding slightly as she said that as a white mage they could explore more. He was surprised when Chris came and introduced himself, shyly nodding and worriedly tugged on his cloak. "Oh. I'm sorry. I should have introduced myself. My name is Sinna," he said softly, looking down as both Avery and Chris looked at him. He was a bit uncomfortable with them both watching him, particularly since he was so shy.
