"Indeed! I have seen glimpses of others who have mingled with our Faun ancestors quite well....such as myself..." she blushed again, smiling and shutting her eyes a moment in soft embarrassment. "I had never foreseen myself as a mother... I had always thought you would become one before I... for whatever reason." she laughed softly, taking her sisters hands in her own gently, holding them for a moment before smiling and releasing them.
"I still can not fathom how you managed to make it safely out of that mess. Luck must have been on your side." she said and shook her head lightly, as if the event were already a distant thing in the much more distant past. "Perhaps we need to find you a special someone now." she teased, smiling warmly and casting a playful sisterly glance over the white Princess. She was, of course, unaware of how her words might affect the other, only saying them in the spur of the moment.

Celestia's smile didn't waver at all as they spoke, though she could feel herself growing slightly uncomfortable. With her sister she laughed, nodding in turn. "I, too, had thought I might bear children before you." A shrug. "Fate is fickle, however." It was only then that her smile cracked, however slightly, at the mention of Venus' party. Her eyes averted just barely before she sighed. Oh how she hated having to lie to her sister directly and explicitly! It was for her own good, though, that she be left in the dark (so to speak). "I agree, it truly was a miracle..."
Blinking and returning out her thoughts, the elder princess found her cheeks blushing red and her hands raising up to stroke her chin. "Oh, you mussn't tease your sister in such a way Luna!" Celestia tried to brush the topic off. Love wasn't meant for her, and if she tried and found love, wouldn't it only make her hopeless situation even more painful? "Love will come to me when, and if, it wishes." ...maybe never... "Your family is far more important than my lack of a special somepony."

Luna giggled softly, placing a hand on her lips as she did so. "When might we have another chance for such pleasantries? Who knows what else life at this tree may send our way." she said, smiling and nodding softly. She took a relaxing breath, letting it out slowly as if to settle herself. How nice it was just to spend a day with her sister, the two of them, chatting and having fun. She wasn't even sure the last time they had done as such, even back in Equestria. Things often seemed quite busy, at least for Celestia. When the moon rose, many went to bed and there were few out to enjoy the night with.
Never the less, no such duties were needed here, lending time for small talk such as this. "Do not be silly Sister Dearest, even you are meant to find happiness. Perhaps he is in this tree as we speak? Or maybe he ventures beyond and into the forest?" she grinned, eyeing her sister. "To think, My sister with a wild faun...." she mused to herself, shaking her head slightly though smiling. "You both are of much importance to me, I love you very much Sister, I always have. Do not think that now there is others in my heart and I have less room for you, because that shan't be the case."

Laughing, Celestia continued to brush off the conversation. "Sister! Please," she waved her hand in a dismissive manner in front of her. "You are letting your imagination take control once again." Smiling and setting her hands down, she shook her head. "That was never my intention from my words. I know that you are closest to my heart, and I still very close to yours." Her mouth twisted (almost) into a playful smirk when she added. "Though, perhaps Sir JustMo has become closer to you now than I. He was mother to your children, after all."

Luna laughed as her sister waved her off. "Some day, you will see! Perhaps it might surprise you how it finds you." she smiled, tilting her head to the side. "I know as much sister dear, but I just want you to know I am always here for you." she said then blushed, her eyes going wide as she attempted to straighten herself and act more dignified. "Sister!" she gasped, now her turn to be teased and embarrassed. "Be it the case...oh that was such a confusing and awkward time.... " she wiggled in place slightly, her head filling up with thoughts of the handsome wild dog patterned stallion....or...rather...mare at the time.

Joining in the laughing, Celestia quieted with a sigh and a soft shrug. "Perhaps; only time shall reveal to us the future we so desperately seek to know and understand." She really wished Luna would stop making such innocent comments that only drove stakes into her conscience. It was moments like this that she was glad to have tea, even if it had been somewhat forgotten and grown cold. Just a quick sip was all she needed to regain her composure and return fully to the conversation.
"I doubt the poor mare has fully recovered from the whole ordeal," she used the term 'mare' on purpose to poke fun at him, "Surely he is the only male who has known childbirth's pain and fruits. It is a shame that you should have children, yet not have experience it yourself." Her voice quieted as she added in another jest. "Yet..." Reaching to finish her cup, she nodded once, speaking almost to herself, but just loud enough for Luna to hear. "I still intend to be the first of us to understand such a feeling."

The night princess's cheeks lit up as bright as they possibly could beneath her dark fur. "The only that we know of! I do not know how others fair'ed from that event....but those are confusing feelings I would not wish on anyone." she said with a shiver...and a soft smile. Ok maybe some of the truly most foul hearted...but still.
Shaking her head softly, she allowed another laugh to escape her lips. "No...he is still sensitive about it....And I can not understand...yet." she smiled, looking down at her fingertips as she pressed them together somewhat embarrassed. "I can not lie in that...I haven't thought of it.....having...my turn." she flushed again, shaking her head with another soft laugh. "Indeed, I await the day to see you glow with motherly pride."

Softly setting the china down, the princess couldn't help but blush lightly. "Come now, I cannot have a child if I have not a special somepony of my own." Well, she could... her sister (sort of) had... but, Celestia did not want it to happen that way. "Should that day come, you will certainly be among the first to know." Naturally, such a thing could not happen with her current bond to Aquos, one that even now she could feel warm in her chest, but who knew, maybe someday.
Maybe it would even be him.
Maybe?
Only the future would tell. "The day will come, I am sure, when you can carry some young foals and fillies of your own. And when you do and after they are borne, I will spoil them as I do your young ones now."
