The Beginning
Your best female friend or sister has come crying to you for help. The love of her life gave her a bracelet a few days back and now it has been stolen! While it was not a cheap piece of jewelry, neither was it expensive. All that marks it different from so many other bracelets is its pale purple stone with a glittering pink middle that's shaped like a heart. She took it off and put it down for a second when a Silx, attracted by it's glitter, stole it! She managed to follow the animal thief to an abandoned hut in the woods nearby. Tearfully claiming that she is too scared to enter the ruin, she begs you to help her get her bracelet back.
What does your character think of their friend/sister's reaction and story? How does he/she feel about ghosts and the rumors surrounding this supposedly haunted place? Will he/she go to help or not?
Araceli dozed under a tree, taking a break from her training. Her parents and her had traveled back to the Celestial Planes after finishing up some last minute work on Eowyn. Ara had returned shortly back to her studies and had been working hard to develope her magic more. She wanted to be prepaired if something like that happened again. She let out a deep sigh as she heard footsteps approaching her, followed by soft sobs. She slowly opened her eyes, annoyed with having been intterupted.
They widened as she took in the state of her best friend, Cicily. Her eyes were rimmed with red and the tears were streaming down her cheeks. Ara shot up from the ground and grabbed her friend's upper arms. "Wh-what happened?" She asked frantically as she checked her dear friend for injuries. When she found none, she returned her puzzeled gaze back to her friend's face.
Cicily hiccuped before she could even begin to explain what was going on. "Oh Ara." A fresh wave of sobbing over took her before she could continue.
"Come, sit down." Ara gestured to the spot she'd been sitting in under the tree.
As her friend sat down she began to explain what had happened. "My boyfriend gave me the most beautiful brace while you were gone." She sniffed her tears back, trying to concentrate on what she needed to tell Ara. "I didn't even get a chance to show you. A...a Silx stole it!" Her body shook as she held back more sobs. "I only sat it down for a minute and it stole it right out from under my nose! I chased it out of the city and ended up at the hut." She hiccuped again. "The haunted one. Oh Ara! I couldn't go in! I was too scared. And there were...noises coming from in there." She grabbed her friend's hands in her's and looked at her hopefully. "Oh, would you please get it back for me? I'll do anything."
Araceli frowned at the request. She had so much training she needed to do. This was her best friend, though and she had to help her. Anyway, she could practice on the Silx. "Of course I'll help you Cici." Ara used the girl's nickname. She rose up from the ground and placed her hadns on her hips as she looked down at Cicily. "That old place isn't that scary anyway." She said as she stalked off.
