Hi all... I know I haven't been on long in this guild... but I would like to encourage a bit more participation in the guild, especially with rping, because the more people rp, the richer the story is, and when you look back, and read it, it's incredible what you read.
So I want to be able to use my expertise and as well as others with experience to maybe teach people who are new to the rping field how to rp with the best of them.
There are about 4 classes of rper in the world.
They are as follows:
Beginners
Easy Casual
Serious Casual
T1 rping
Now... now your asking, what's the difference between them, or why are there four instead of three. I will explain to the best of my ability.
Beginner:
This is simple enough, beginners are the ones that just start out. There is nothing wrong at starting out at this level. It shows interest in joining the field and also that your willing to not be afraid of posting with more serious players. These kinds of people tend to write mostly one to two lines of post and are basic sentences with direct action. We'll call them the grunts of the battlefield if you don't mind the halo terminology.
Easy Casual:
Now this class show's that they have learned a thing or two about rping, but are still not quite up there. They put a bit more effort into their post, adding a bit more detail to what they write. They also might bring in some dialog in the rp as well, though they are mostly one line dialog. they use one character and use actions and words within a paragraph. These kinds of people use between 5-6 sentences in a paragraph, with a bit of detail and some dialog in the mix. We'll call them the Jackles or Marines or rping.
Serious Casual:
I know that usually they are categorized same but there are slight differences between the two. These people improved quite a bit as they have grown into themselves and rpers. They use more detail in their work as well as dialog that can become up to 4 sentences long if they feel the need. While easy uses one, serious could use up to 3 characters that are consistent in the story. they are also able to post as npcs if need be such as a simple solder, or a small group. they tend to write up to 2, 6-8 sentence long paragraphs or three 4 sentence long paragraphs. These would be the Elites or ODST of rping
T1:
These are serious rpers, able to write novels if need be and are really good at pointing out details that wouldn't be noticed if you were to be in the action itself. they tend to incorporate everything that is happening at once and make it almost intimidating to rp with. These people tend to take on roles of DM (Dungeon Master) creaters of detailed rping, and control anywhere between 3-how many chars are needed to keep up. These guys love a good story and even if they could write an entire novel, they would rather do it with others. These people to write anywhere between 2 to 5 paragraphs of rp, and the more info they have before they post, the better it is. These are the Spartan of rping.
I know that some of you might get offended by this but keep in mind, i am only giving averages and brief descriptions of what these are. so if you feel offended, it was not my intention. I am just giving you some info of what I believe are pretty decent descriptions of the classes.
If you guys have any questions, or want some advise or want to learn on how to improve your skills. please ask in here and I'll see what i can to do help. if I have made any mistakes, please let me know, I am happy to make changes and I don't mind helping out. As I teach, I also learn. So yeah, hope your not upset or afraid and that we can improve.
This is also open to be taken off by the Captain and Vice Captain, as they are the only ones who have a say if this stays or doesn't.
