♠`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ ♠ Ɍɇϻʊʟɵʊƨ ⇆ Ɍɘϻϻϫ The knock was answered with an apathetic wave of his hand and a grunt of acknowledgement. The woman who entered next drew his attention from the notebook he'd been scratching in for the past twenty minutes. "Hello, Miss..?" Remulous inquired, setting the small book onto the stand beside the recliner while his free set of arms came to cross his bare chest. The two modest chrome piercings speckling his bottom lip were licked over with an azure forked tongue; accented with the same type of chrome bar.
His senses tingled, both smell and taste amplified with the sweep of wet muscle across his lips. She smelt sweet but lightly so. Gold accents framed her face, an attraction Remulous didn't know he would have. His inquisition filled the back of his mind, perhaps the time came for him to finally get some fresh air. "If you're here to talk, could we at least move outside? My skin is almost the same hue as milk." The Naga sighed, one wrist lent against a narrow chin while the other hung loosely over the arm of the recliner. Boredom had never been written across his face so clearly before.
The train of his body had become cramped and curled somewhat at the very peak due to it's inactivity. Remulous' head canted to one side to inspect the door that had closed behind his guest, slowly pulling his torso from the chair whilst his muscles contracted beneath the scaled mantle that bloomed a wide v-contour from the pubic bone, upwards. "I haven't been able to lift a single weight or stretch myself out for four days." Remulous didn't think it would have bothered him so deeply, he missed the wilderness, this single opening and shielded lanai wasn't enough to calm the ache of home sickness he was starting to feel.
He could only wonder if his acquaintance would escort him out, if only for a few minutes to bask in the sunlight he so greatly missed during his transport and setup within this jurisdiction. Remulous would eye the woman a second time, taking in her full appearance before he would stand just below her own height as to not appear threatening.

Her lips pursed when he asked to be taken outside, having already made note of the Hotel's accommodations before she arrived. Certainly she could stay at the bungalows they had for a night, but only after a purchase. And she hadn't seen anywhere to take a possible slave, other than their rooms. She felt bad at the answer she had to give and hoped he wouldn't hold it against her. "I'm sorry, I'm under the impression I can only take you somewhere if I...if you come home with me," she amended, not willing to use the term 'buy' or anything similar. It was the truth, yes, but that didn't mean she had to like it. She looked around briefly - the room was pretty, but she could see how it was confining. She much preferred the open layout of her own home, open to the elements almost all of the time.
The yaksha could tell he was eyeballing her, making himself shorter so he wouldn't intimidate her. While the gesture wasn't unappreciated, it was also unnecessary, as the collar would have prevented him from doing anything untoward to start with. However, it spoke volumes to his character and she gestured to one of the nearby chairs. "May I? The hotel I stayed in last night is quite a ways from here and I thought walking would be faster than traffic," Heema snorted a bit, as if to suggest how well that had turned out for her, and took a seat without another comment. "I suppose it's fair that I tell you some about myself and the reason I'm here, if you care to hear it?" She waited for some sort of acknowledgement before resting her hands on her knees and sat back a bit, getting comfortable. It wasn't as if she had a very long tale to tell, but the cushioning was divine and she decided to enjoy it while she was here.
"I am a yaksha. The simple explanation is that I'm a lucky creature. I've lived alone for a few decades and thought it would be nice to have some company. I'm unable to affect anyone by my magic here, with the wards, but I got the idea of bringing someone home with me and giving them a fresh start. You could stay, of course, but it wouldn't be as a slave. I don't have much of an interest in that sort of business." There wasn't quite distaste in her voice and she gave a little shrug, leaving the decision entirely up to him. "I have an annoying brother that likes to drop in from time to time, but my home is rather solitary, so if you prefer lots of company, I wouldn't suggest staying with me," she added, seemingly committed to honesty even as she smiled wryly.

♠`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ ♠ Ɍɇϻʊʟɵʊƨ ⇆ Ɍɘϻϻϫ Remulous didn't hold grudges, as far as he knew, his memory wasn't as finessed as that of an Elephant. The Naga would fold the lower two thirds of his reptilian appendage, lowering himself to sit on the knot of muscle. "Of course," Remulous would reply with her indication to join him. He feared this Hotel's strict rules would prevent him from leaving anytime soon, "Makes me wonder why they have a lounge and pool if the remainder of us are locked in solitude.." However it was a comment uttered under his breath.
A nod of acknowledgement for Heema to continue was offered, the lower pair of his arms then crossed over his abdomen to keep them occupied; they had a knack for picking at objects while he was intent on conversation. "So you've come for me?" An almost hopeful gleam lit the Naga's eyes, but something seemed suspicious- perhaps his own paranoia. "What kind of business do you affiliate with?" It might have been a little rude to ask, and would retaliate with an instant, "If I may ask."
Remulous wasn't used to those overwhelming family visits or crowded places in which people hoard the streets or rooms, and Heema resembled a rather introverted and wealthy woman. Loneliness was a plague, the Naga knew for sure; he'd felt it plenty of times and yet he managed to keep his chin up when looking for friends or companions. Few he knew here, with the limitations and all to restrict normal social events. How hindering, did this Hotel think that this level of solitude was any good for their sanity?
The collars and guards would prevent any kind of harm to come their way, so why did their leashes have to be so suffocating? "If you want my opinion, I wouldnt mind to leave here. Im not one exactly to watch television or lounge around in a bedroom. Even company like this is a relief, nothing but silence otherwise." His tail had removed a plant from the nearby windowsill, fingers of one hand were delicately plucking the few yellow, crunchy leaves from around the base of tangled roots, discarding them into the table side trash to his right. "Eh. I supposed I used the term incorrectly. I think they're more charities, philanthropies. I fund hospitals and the like. A way to work my magic on a broader scale? I make my money from wise investing and plenty of years to accumulate wealth. Nothing untoward or the like," Heema assured him. As to whether he would believe her or not, that was for him to decide. She found it almost funny when he said that he wouldn't mind leaving. Of course he wouldn't and she wondered how desperate he was to leave. Would he just go with anyone? Not that she would blame him - it was more a matter of simply wondering about his personality and character that formed his decisions. She shifted, crossing one leg over the other to get more comfortable, and watched as his tail moved the way it did. She hadn't expected it to have prehensile abilities, though really, the yaksha knew little about nagas as a whole. She had never had a reason to learn about them until now.
"I admit, I do have television in my home. I like to indulge in it every once in a while, but no one would be forcing you to sit there." There it was, another smile that made it clear she was amused, but not quite at him. Maybe the conversation, or the fact that she was having one at all and it seemed to be going well. Heema was more than pleased at that little victory alone, considering the circumstances in which they were speaking. "I go to social events every once in a while, usually for a fundraiser or something similar. You wouldn't have to accompany if you didn't want to, I'm not looking for a party companion. If I need one, my brother enjoys them far more," she added, with another shrug at the mention of her brother. She loved him and wanted to choke him at the same time.
She was quiet for a few moments, looking around the room. There was nothing to indicate any personality whatsoever and she imagined that all the rooms looked much alike, if not exact replicas of one another. Like a fancy hotel - oh. Now she got the name. Resisting the urge to roll her eyes at her own stupidity and blaming...finding nothing to blame it on, Heema returned her attention instead to the naga she was speaking to. "So, if you'd like to go with me, I think we could get along quite well. If not, you're free to leave. I'll even furnish transportation and funds if you want them." She shrugged again, not trying to sound as if she were all noble and good. It was simply a fact and she wanted him to be aware of it, that he wouldn't be trapped with her, free to leave with nowhere to go and nothing to help.

♠`•.¸¸.••´´¯``•• .¸¸.•´ ♠ Ɍɇϻʊʟɵʊƨ ⇆ Ɍɘϻϻϫ Charities? Now Heema was sounding like one of those roundabout goodly neighbors, the highly involved charity worker-- and although it wasn't a bad thing, Remulous was a bit skeptical. "If you're doing all of that with your spare time, why would you need a companion at home?" It sounded to the Naga like she wasn't even there for most of the day, unless of course during the night. "You must be a very smart investor." And she had the look to back it all up.
Remulous gave a nod, television was one of the worst things he could think of to pass the time. He'd much rather cook or garden; both of which he could do for more than a couple hours a day. "I don't mind leaving the house, though crowds often seem to end with my tail becoming a door mat." He hated humans and their shoes, countless times they don't watch where they're going because they think Remmy himself has legs instead of a six foot tail.
"I don't see why not. Though your brother- how... frequent would he be in visiting?" If he was using the right term and all, the guy seemed nice, but overly obnoxious. Remulous met his fair share of strange and more than irritating company. Despite her thoughts of him to be willing enough to go with just anyone, the Naga had quite some standards. He of course, wouldn't go with anyone who seemed highly intimidating, that were interested in just his body for perhaps the skin or teeth, and he avoided men with overly developed muscle mass. Just for his own safety of course. Four hands weren't always better than two.

She couldn't help it. "i think it's partly smart and mostly luck. Add to the fact I've had plenty of time to figure out what to invest in..." Heema just shrugged. "I don't see the point in wealth if you just hoarde it. I'm not a dragon, after all. Which is why I try to spread it around. It's in my nature, sort of. In a roundabout manner. And I actually am hands-off. I provide the money through...what's the term. Is it paper companies? Whatever it is, I also don't see the point in flaunting it. The money is moved through different names and companies and gets to where I want it to go, that's all." He either thought she was stupid, or meddling. Either way, it left a bad taste in her mouth at the thought. Heema enjoyed the philanthropic work, she didn't do it for attention or applause, and wondered if he'd gotten the wrong impression of her. That was a bit upsetting, she'd been trying so hard to make a good first impression.
"As for why I'd need a companion. Well, I'm home most of the time, actually. It's one of the few things I spent money on for myself and I like to enjoy it. I like the quiet, but it's...stifling sometimes. As for my idiot brother, he doesn't drop in very often at all. Every few months, and that's a lot. I haven't seen him in...fifteen years, I think. He goes off on his own little adventures and comes to tell me about them." Did he not like men? Or was it just the idea of uninvited guests dropping in on him? If it wasn't her brother, Heema was in wholehearted agreement; one of the main reasons for living where she did was to keep people away. She liked privacy, she liked time alone and she hated people simply wandering over as if they owned everything. Another shrug and she reached up to brush some gold from her eyes. The yaksha wasn't sure what else to say. She wanted him to come with her, but certainly not if he didn't want to, so she thought trying to convince him would come across as bullying. So she fell silent and looked out the window. It was pretty, but too manicured for her tastes.

More convenient than anything he supposed. "I see, so it's all in the good for others?" Remulous would c**k his head to one side, eyes watching the hand that flicked gold from Heema's face before he would glance just like she would out the window.
"Fifteen years is quite a while- I suppose you both take the chance to see eachother? I dont know my birth parents- nor would I have the chance now, seeing as how I dont know exactly where I'm from. I'd be happy to have the chance to be a part of another family." Even if it were just the three of them from time to time, Remulous wouldn't say no to that.
Straightening himself, the Naga would wade over to the balcony, opening the lanai door in order to slither out onto the porch. "But I ask you, the outdoors is where I want to be, would that be alright? To spend most of my time outside of those four walls?"

She honestly couldn't tell and worried that this wasn't going to go the way she wanted it to at all. Listening to him intently, Heema brightened up when he asked if it would be alright if he spent tie outside. "I don't technically have four walls, so of course. Would you like to see my house and what it's like?" she asked eagerly, leaning forward a little as she took her phone from her purse. She had anticipated showing her house to anyone she spoke to about bringing home - it seemed only fair that they see where they would be living. "I live in the jungle in Brazil, quite a ways from the nearest town, as I said before," Heema told him, waiting for the photos to open up. Once they were, she turned the screen around and waited for him to come back over, to let him browse the pictures. "The bedrooms are the same, just like the bathrooms. You can do whatever you like, even sleep outside if you wanted to." It was obvious that she was enthusiastic about her home, truly loving it. There was a reason it was the only luxury she had really invested in herself. The chance to have someone who might like it as much as she did made her smile happily.
"As for my brother, we do try to see each other. He travels quite a bit and chances end up being far and few between. But we are close. We're twins, we look almost exactly alike. Just opposite genders," she added with a chuckle. "We aren't very close to our parents, it's just how we are. It doesn't bother us, we still talk to our mother every so often. You can always meet her if you'd like. She'd probably like you, she likes interesting people." Maybe someone else would have said 'interesting things', but that term never even occurred to her. Heema saw him as a person and that was how she termed it, simple as that. Still, she was enjoying their conversation and even if Remulous said 'no', she would still be glad to have talked to someone here.

Her home looked amazing! He could sleep on the balcony, lounge around in the grass and even the wood floors! If she'd been watching him, Heema would have witnessed a happy hiss, the very thin end of his tail curling in anticipation. However, when he caught her gaze, he would immediately cross both sets of arms. "Well.. Im not sure.." Of course, this was playing hard to get. Remulous was already excited.
The Naga would once again glance longingly out the balcony window, fingers of a single hand breaking the hold with another to slide through his feathered hair. "Deal." Well, that wasnt hard. Remulous' heartache for the outdoors was immediately relinquished with the thought of being free- being hers. Heema was perfect! Kind, generous, and one hell of a home designer! Perhaps he could meet her mother and brother sometime-- it seemed alright to him.

"Really? That's wonderful!" she exclaimed, having returned her phone to her purse while he had been looking out the window, apparently contemplating her offer. Heema was just a little surprised as well, having been uncertain as to whether he even liked her or not. But she was happy to have someone coming home with her, and since he seemed to like it, she hoped that he would want to stay and keep her company as well. It would be nice to have someone around to talk to and the naga appreciated nature as much as she did, that much was obvious by the reaction she'd seen when he saw the pictures.
The elegant woman got to her feet with that decision made, slinging her purse strap over her shoulder and going over to the door. She rapped on the door with her knuckles, a demanding noise, and smiled at the guard that answered after a moment. "Remulous will be going home with me," she announced. He gave a bow of his head and gestured for them to follow him. Heema turned and waited for the naga before following the guard down the hallway to the main lobby where she would have to pay. "I took one of my brother's planes here. We can use it to return home, and then I have a car that I use to get back to my house," she told Remulous as they walked, not even listening to the guard when he told her how much she would have to pay. She simply didn't care. Money was no object to the yaksha, after all. "And I'll take the collar off as soon as we're off Hotel grounds," she promised him, not wanting him to wonder if she would leave it on for some perverse reason, even though she said she would free him.

Like to fly from here to her home? "In the sky? Not on the ground?" Oh.. A woozy feeling started to bubble up and dwell within the Naga's stomach. He's never flown, more or less just taken a trip across the sea by boat or countryside with a train. The news had a knack for getting those very in-detail stories of deaths by falling; Remulous was not a fan of that for sure.
Although he was unsure of that alone, Remulous would keep close with Heema, his things-- very few if anything at all; clothes weren't a necessity to him--were loaded on board. The trailing end of his tail slithered along carpet, wood and eventually concrete as he ventured from the holding walls of the Hotel. Finally.. He was free of the stale air and the cramped space of floor. "Hold that thought-" Now; the Naga was intent on getting one minute of relaxing lounging on the grass, straying from Heema just a moment to bask within the chilled fiber of the lawn. A content sigh would release slowly, Remulous getting his fill on the crisp air and crunchy ground before he would rise and return to Heema's side.

As Shea stepped closer to where he was sitting, Artemis could feel his heart hammering in his chest. The stunning man with the candy hair didn’t seem phased by the toddler's growing unrest, and in fact he even asked to hold her. Stammering out an okay, he let the young male lift up his fussing daughter, the young father staring in awe. Given Calliope had only wanted to be picked up because Shea was a new face, it took no time to settle her, and she was quickly back in her father’s grasp, with Shea sitting down in front of him. Blinking in surprise under his veil, Artemis was at least relieved to know that he was at least breathing this time instead of forgetting to do such an automatic thing in the presence of a gorgeous face. Resisting the urge to pull a face as he mentally scolded himself for acting like some pre-teen fool, drooling over the first pretty face he’d seen, he took the cheery words in. Shea had looked after children before, he actually liked kids, and he wasn’t opposed to spending the day trapped in a house with an energetic dragon child. Where the hell was this man so many years ago when he’d wanted to settle down??
The sincerity calmed Artemis’ worries enough for him to smile softly. "I believe Calliope would indeed be safe with you." While his words were quiet, they offered up more than just kindness, but the fact that the single father was willing to put his trust into a stranger. "She’s already taken a liking to you." Looking down at the now calm little girl in his lap, busying herself with trying to remove the buttons off her father’s shirt, he moved his gaze back up to Shea, his eyes probably more visible now he was sitting back in front of him. "If I walked out of here now, without you, I don’t think she’d ever forgive me." 'And I certainly wouldn’t forgive myself for leaving you behind.' He finished off his more honest thought in his head, but it was horribly true. Artemis knew full well what would happen to someone like Shea if he was left in this place, and the thought of someone hurting or committing foul acts upon the beautiful man made his nostrils flare slightly.
"So… I guess I should ask… F-Formerly… If you would be so kind as to leave here with me.. Us. With us." Stumbling over his faux pas, Artemis distracted himself by bouncing Calliope on his hip. "Shea’s going to come look after you, Cally, are you excited?" All kinds of happy squeals came from the little girl, and it even made Artemis chuckle a little. "If… There’s anything you need to pack, I can wait. I-If there’s things you need… Well… There’s some shops not far from here so, I mean, I can always splurge a little if it… If it would make you more comfortable when moving in…" Wishing he had a free hand to rub his horn or the back of his neck, Artemis had to settle for awkward eyes looking anywhere but at Shea and clearing the sudden lump in his throat. "W-We can walk to the markets and get something to eat. It’s… Well, we have to take a small flight to uh… Get to the coast, a-and then a ferry ride… So we’ll eat before we go." Hovering by the doorway now, he waited until Shea was ready to go. It was just a matter of processing payment at the front desk and walking out the building with the stunning man to take him shopping. How hard could that be?

Could this man be any cuter? The way that he stammered out his approval to hold his daughter just made the ten want to kiss the bronzed man's face! Holding the toddler close as she smiled and calmed down. Shea placed a kiss to her hair before holding her back to her father, and then sitting down in front of them. Such a cute little family that he could care for!! Bright pink eyes watched the other man. He was just so.. so.. mouthwatering and so delicious looking. The Incubus had to keep his hands folded in his lap in fear that he'd grab the man and kiss him until they both couldn't breath. Pushing the thought to the back of his mind, Shea blinked his eyes at Artemis' soft words. The soft sound of his kindness and trust made Shea smile softly at him. At that moment, the pink haired male was determined to keep this family safe. He wouldn't make this man regret trusting him.
Looking to Calliope when Artemis said that she had already taken a liking to him, Shea just grinned at the little girl and blew her a kiss. "I've taken a liking to her.. well.. to both of you honestly..." The teen flashed the man serene smile. He really did want to go home with them. Cally seemed like she would be a delight to care for while Artemins... well, Shea was still formulating his plans for him. He wanted to know everything about this man. Inside and out. Curious pink eyes turned to the man sitting in front of him as he spoke. No one had ever said something like that to him before... It actually made his heart skip a beat. When Artemis began to stutter once more, the teen just gave him a warm smile, but a pink brow did rise when he quickly corrected himself. He could feel a small amount of attraction coming off of Artemis, which just gave the Incubus more hope that something could happen between them. Shea really wished that this place didn't have so much magic.. it seriously interferred with his lust reading... "Of course I will come home with both of you!" Smiling brightly and chuckling as the toddler let out noises of delight, Shea couldn't help but feel excited. He was finally leaving his place. "There is no need to wait. I have nothing to pack but I will take you up on that shopping offer. After all, I can't be running around naked now can I?" Winking at him, the pink haired teen stood up and followed the two to the doorway.
"A walk sounds wonderful. I've been cooped up in this room for too long. Maybe as we walk, you can tell me more about yourself?" Following the father/daughter couple out of his room, the Dream Incubus looked around at his surroundings. It truly did look like a hotel.. a rather beautiful one at that. The process of purchasing him seemed simple enough. Just a signing of some papers, handing over some cash, and there were soon on their way out.

xxxxxx xxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxx ❝ FOR XOFXSUGARX&XICEXIXAMXMADE ❞ The day had started out like every other day; quiet. Being in this new place had exposed her to a whole new world, a more luxurious world of slave markets. It seemed like the chairmen of this particular place had the welfare of their “products” in mind compared to simply wanting to make a profit. In all honesty, it was a nice change. Ophelia had been allowed to keep her clothing from her last Master, even if most of her more luxurious dresses and shoes were kept in the large suitcase stashed under the king sized bed. Once a month they were all taken out of storage to hang out to air on every flat surface of the room, thankfully no-one had come to talk to her during these sessions. In fact, someone hadn’t come to talk to her in weeks judging by the rose themed calendar on her bedside table. Familiar feelings of inadequacy had crept over the pink haired female when she’d gone to her window in the morning, but by lunch time she was feeling a little more optimistic - a shower always perked her right up. Dressed in a long chiffon dress in a dusty pink colour, the female sat curled up in the window bay with a book, her long hair hanging down her back in a curled style thanks to the thick, bendy curlers she’d wound through her hair the night before.
There were days when Ophelia didn’t think that taking this much effort in her appearance was even worth the time, but the thought of someone catching her in such a sad state always pulled her back around to making herself just presentable enough on those days. Every other day the female was dressed to receive elegant company, since that was all that seemed to come see her in this wing. Lea had quickly learned she was in a more exclusive part of the hotel, reserved for a certain special set of species and creatures that fetched a higher than average price. The separation of the species into different categories confused the woman, but she supposed there was a slight difference in her rarity compared to, say, someone of elf blood; demi-gods didn’t tend to get captured and sold into slavery.
The radio in her room softly trilled away during the morning, the idle chatter of the hosts going unnoticed by the female in favour for humming along to the few songs she knew. Touching the delicate lace around her neck, there was a small bittersweet bonus to the magical collar - she could sing freely in the hotel and not send anyone loopy. It wasn’t like she’d been caught singing yet, most visitors had the guards knock before entering, but there was every chance that someone who thought themselves to be high and mighty would just barge in. Still, those days were better than the quiet ones at least, and lately it had been rather quiet. Turning her eyes from the pages of her book to stare out the window, she could just see the ocean down by the bungalows. On certain days, when the window was open, the breeze carried the salty air up to her room and she would spend the whole day sitting on the soft cushions that covered the window bay listening to the radio and reading books. It had been a long time since she’d been able to step foot on a sandy beach, and even longer since she’d been able to run along the shore in the breaking waves. She could count the Masters on one hand that had lived within walking distance of a beach, and even less who had been beachfront properties. Still, the places she’d lived had beaten the orphanage by a long shot, and even a fleeting thought of the place had Ophelia absent-mindedly reaching to brush her calves with her fingers momentarily. Anything was better than that place. If she knew where her home was…
Not knowing where she came from was the worst part, in Lea’s mind. While in a way it wasn’t totally true - she knew whom she came from and what she was - the fact she had no real memories of her birthplace were rather upsetting during these quiet times. Shutting her book with a sigh, a romance novel that thankfully had very little risque scenes, Ophelia only opened them when the sharp knock announcing that morning tea was being dropped off, and the sharp blue of her irises watched the guard drop off the tea tray on the round cafe table and promptly depart. Yet another bonus of the hotel - regular meals that were actually edible. A teapot for one sat happily on the tray, the floral pattern on the china reminiscent of days gone by, and two plates accompanied the teaset; one with basic sandwiches not unlike those from a high tea, and a couple of pieces of baklava. Why they thought she liked the sticky, flaky treat was beyond her, but she wasn’t about to correct them. She did like the treat, it just wasn’t her first pick when compared to things like apricot danishes and anything with chocolate in it. Settling herself down at the table, she poured herself a cup of tea and stared out the window to look at the blossoming trees outside. At least the beautiful view never grew boring.
