He's sitting here next to chinese vampires, professional martial artists of all sorts many of whom can shoot fire out of their hands, a trio of people wielding demon swords from the future, professional special ops teams with more firepower than brainpower, a special ops team from the far future with just as much firepower on top of a fondness for overusing incendiary devices, demons, vampires, half demons, elemental swordsmen and fox ladies, fancy dressed ninjas, dimensional rift controlling morons, robot army leaders, different types of robots from the future, extradimensional swordsmen, mage princesses, physical manifestations of game world entities that can hack reality now, and god knows what else.
While he himself seems to basically be a guy with a camera who happens to have a fondness for using lots of randomly strewn about items.
Many of the characters have dealt with multiple zombie situations, which leaves my basic impression as "this is presently a world where zombie outbreaks happen so outlandishly often that a single incident would probably get as much global attention as congress pissing on its own shoes again", yet not only does everybody know about the Willamette incident, they also know exactly who the jackass photographer was that took pictures of it occurring is.
At least everyone of the same world and time period. Despite most of them being from japan, which seems to also have its fair share of zombie bullshit on top of demons from hell and all manner of incidents which make the entire thought that they know what happened at a shopping mall in Colorado somewhat bizarre.
He just feels damn out of place.
