OUTDATED - AWAITING UPDATE
The Jewel war is something that we all pain to distinguish. It is not that it is difficult to tell, but for the destructive power it created is a sad story to remind ourselves of. Old scholars like myself, reader, are all the wiser about such treacherous times and now it is time for me to inform you of our world's first civil war. The Jewel War.
It began in AD 826, when supposedly Injustira himself, if i may call the Angel of Hope a he, descended to Fallstreak Domain to give the Order of Injustira a most precious and valuable artifact. This was known as the Omnijewel, something that i have come to believe held magnifiscent power. I take the following account from the personal journal of Christian Vizjei who wrote extensively on the earlier periods of the Injustira Syndicate, and was a noble Sanctus of the time, where he reflects on his time within the guild:
When Injustira arrived, all our men and women bowed in honour to our creator, he was the most noble and evoked justice with his image alone. Unfortunately it was not for our eyes to see him properly until our justice had been served to the world, all that my eyes saw were a tall white light, where the top was overshadowed by a silver hood.
The Omnijewel that we were given that day became our most protected possession. The jewel gave us power to give justice in many forms, and empowered our somewhat mortal bodies with extensive attributes of sight without influence of darkness. So that one day if our Overworld became scorched by Hell once more, we can protect ourselves from the onslaught.
It is interesting to note that the Omnijewel was actually given to the Order as a result of the Burning Invasion, of which you should encounter later in my texts. For many years the Omnijewel was kept protected within the Order in their highest domain.
I could not trace any other texts regarding the Omnijewel, however, in 1326 old peacekeepers began to become weary of the Omnijewel. By this time the Order has become the Injustira Syndicate, beginning the Guildisation and the formation of the Guildeam, which you should have already read my scribbles on. It was later that year that the Syndicate came to a giant decision, one that would change the world forever. To my knowledge, there is no way in telling why the guild chose this action, but by the end of the year the skies around North Occulas were enlightened.
The Syndicate shattered the Omnijewel, and separated it into many different, smaller jewels. Old transcripts tell of lightning-like cracks that spread across the sky with the sound of shattered, musical crystals. If only i could have experiences this event with my own eyes, to witness the sound of heavenly power being separated. According to several notes, this lightning hit the ground across Magic Earth, and i judge that these very places struck became the new home to the Jewels of Justice.
Now i take you to 1331, when the first jewel was found. The Black Jewel was in the possession of a figure I call the Dark Sorcerer, his real identity i could never recover (see my texts of the Collapse of the Conclave). It seems that by this time Occulas plunged into a deathly darkness, and the Dark Sorcerer was later seen wandering towards the Northern Bone City. I have reason to believe that this is all the influence of the Greater Demons, but I will come to explain that later. In 1332 the 2nd Jewel was found, the Sapphire Jewel became the defensive weapon of Merlin who sacrificed himself in 1378 to end the war and neutralising all of the jewels. During the time that this treacherous war beckoned, other jewels were found, and in the later half of the war one of the Greater Demon's themselves began tormenting the world. Andariel; the Maiden of Anguish devastated regions of Occulas with the Crimson Jewel and was perceived to be in league with Delorius'tatem!
Andariel, the Empress of Anguish was banished from Hell by Valial, after being framed for scandels by her fellow brothers of the 3, Lucifial and Dantézan. Although she lost much of her power by leaving her physical self in Hell, she possessed a willing witch of the Underworld. The Crimson Jewel became her tool of power to show her worth for Valial to finally be able to return to Hell, and with the jewel, quite possibly open Hell's Gate once more.
This, reader, is why i fear that if any jewel that is not already in possession of the Syndicate is found, that great, uncontrollable power could bring us our own destruction. As for the Greater Demon Andariel, I would feel far more safe by presuming she was destroyed with Merlin's sacrifice... but unfortunately... I cannot be the one to make such a feat a fact.
