i have always enjoyed the way dragonflies here would seek me out, sit on my shoulder whilst i am outside, sometimes on my head or arms. they accompany me swimming too! so many jewel like colors.
but tonight while i played around out in our lake, two fish nibbled my shoulderblades! eek
these fish mouths were bigger than chubs or crappies but not as big as a bass; i believe they were perch.
why would they nibble on my poor body? their mouths are hard and have sharp ridges (but fortunately no true teeth).
dragonflies eat bugs, and so do fish. could i somehow be harboring little bugs on my body and not even be aware of it?
am i a bug-laden buffet table?
i always shower after swimming but tonight i was extra careful and thorough about it.

yes.
yes, you are.
the clear answer is to first anoint yourself with something repulsive, like onion juice.
