maintaining -- a Deity is
meant to be hard, there are quite a few rules you guys need to follow to ensure that it's fair for everyone, AND for me to make sure no one's wasting a Deity Slot. Read on for all the Rules concerning Gods && Goddesses!
[ [ Getting a Deity] ]x x x x↳xx This is by far the most difficult part of having a God or Goddess. Actually
obtaining a Deity is going to be hard, but definitely not impossible. I've made it this way for two reasons: One, so only those who are
dedicated will take the time, thought, and effort needed to apply, and Two, so that we don't have 38249287 Deities running around with over-powered Powers Godmoding everywhere. Read on to find out what you need to do to get yourself a God or Goddess!
[ [ Deity Limits] ]x x x x↳xx Each person may only have
ONE Deity. Ever. Period. So make sure your God / Goddess' area of interest is something that you're not going to get bored with, since you'll be stuck with it.
x x x x↳xx Deities are
one-stage. Since Gods aren't conceived naturally, when they come to the mortal world, they create a mortal vessel with their Power. And, as it takes at least a few days for Deities to acclimate to the mortal realm, they're quite off-kilter and clumsy in their new bodies. So there will be NO Growing Deities.
x x x x↳xx Only
one Deity will be approved every two months. That's a total of
six Lesser Deities a year. Even though Lesser Deities are more common than High Deities, we still don't want fifty of them running around at all times.
x x x x↳xx Deities may
NOT have rule over the same things. So if you want a Deity of Knowledge and there already is one, you'll have to change it.The imbalance in the world would be too great if there were more than one in each specific area of expertise.
x x x x↳xx Your Deity may
NOT change Alignments. Either your God / Goddess is Good, Neutral, or Evil, and that will
never change, so make sure you choose right. If there's even the SMALLEST chance that you MIGHT have your Deity Bond with a human, make sure their Alignment is Good.
[ [ Roleplay Requirements] ]x x x x↳xx For your Deity to remain a God, you must make
TWO posts with them
each month. You may, of course, do more -- and it's highly encouraged -- but two posts a month is the MINIMUM requirement to keep your Deity a God.
x x x x↳xx Your Journal must be updated
ONCE a month. The Journal RP Requirement should be on the
second page of your Deity's Journal. There are two ways you may choose to do this:
x x x x x x → Making a Timeline, detailing what's happened to them in Roleplays each week.
x x x x x x → Doing a 'Dear Journal' entry once a month from your Deity's perspective, describing what they experienced that month, how it made them feel, and how they grew or regressed because of certain events.
x x x x↳xx IF YOU KNOW YOU'LL BE ON A HIATUS: Simply post in the
Hiatus Thread! This will ensure you and your Deity are
NOT penalized! We just need a one-week notice, excepting emergencies.
[ [ Breeding Rules] ]x x x x↳xx Lesser Deities may only breed
twice a year. It doesn't matter if it's a fling or a lifemate; twice a year is all their mortal bodies can handle.
x x x x↳xx Roleplay for a Deity Breeding is
absolutely REQUIRED. If you want your God / Goddess to have foals, you MUST roleplay for it.
x x x x↳xx If your Deity mates with another Deity, then 50% of the offspring will have the option of becoming Half-Gods when they mature.
x x x x↳xx If your Deity mates with a mortal Azrein, then a die will be rolled to determine which foal will have the option of becoming a Half-God upon reaching Adulthood.
[ [ Ordering Your Deity] ]x x x x↳xx Before ordering, check the
Claimed Deity List. This is to ensure that no one else's Azrein 'rules' over the area you'd like. As long as it isn't taken, you can move on to the next step.
x x x x↳xx Create a Deity Journal. See the following post on how to do this. You
MUST follow the Journal Guidelines EXACTLY in order to be eligible for Deity Approval.
x x x x↳xx Wait for my Approval Post.
I WILL BE APPROVING DEITIES AS SOON AS YOU COMPLETE YOUR JOURNAL AND TELL ME IT'S READY FOR APPROVAL. x x x x↳xx I will make my Approval Post, giving you suggestions and instructions on what to change / edit / expand on, and then you will have
one week to make the necessary changes before I make the final Judgement.
x x x x↳xx If your Deity is
NOT Approved, that's okay! You can change your Deity as many times as you'd like and try, try again.
x x x x↳xx Once your Deity is Approved, you will be added to the Pending Deity List, where your Deity will be assigned a number, in order of Approval.
x x x x↳xx On appropriate months, I will RNG the Deity's numbers on the Pending Deity List. Whichever Deity is assigned to the Genned number will win the Deity Slot for that month, and may go to the Colorist of their choice. However, the Colorist
must have a Deity Slot, so don't apply to a colorist who isn't doing Deities!
x x x x↳xx Once your Colorist accepts, congratulations! You have a FREAKING DEITY! Your Deity Journal will then be made a Sticky, and you
officially have a Deity!
