Reliving our scraped up yesterday, ζeaɦ Sainte-Croix We’ll open the way to a hopeful tomorrow! What even remains, Within these tiny hands? My voice merely dispersed into the sky…
"Sunset Orchid?" Leah repeated, letting the word sink in. It was a rare flower that was said to hold tremendous capabilities. Leah let out a small gasp when she realised that must have been what the mission Tsuna's team took for. She remembered glancing over the information, during the bike ride earlier, of Team Sun taking a mission in the Land of Crows - but she didn't have time to read it's objective. Leah was glad when she noticed Tsuna perk up, as if something in her mind clicked and suddenly the girl was ready to fight again. "So... we're dealing with some kind of undead thing attempting to regain his youth? Fabulous." Leah spoke sarcastically, "I can only imagine that his little mind-game was a test. He tried to break you, and almost one might I add." she gave Tsuna a nod before gesturing to the seat behind her as she took her own spot on the motorcycle. As Tsuna sat behind her, she asked another question, one that made her almost stutter. "I-" Leah paused, revving the engine with her foot, "there are things in this world that no one must ever get their hands on. Something like that could bring Legion back to his full life. I... had a dream, a nightmare actually. My husband was killed, I went mad and did awful things to bring him back. In the end - i got to see him again, as a ghost, as something I could never touch again, never speak to again, never feel. It was awful. That's what I know about resurrection - it is a double-edged blade. But I suppose something like that wouldn't stop Legion. If he's simply trying to revive himself, and not bring back someone from nothing, then perhaps... no - he will definitely attempt to find the Jewel." Leah stopped, she slipped up in her thoughts as she spoke them out loud. "I shouldn't have said that." Leah said, looking over her shoulder, tightening the grip on her handlebars. "Do you know where Bergrisók rests during Summer? In the New Mountains, so it looks like we're going north anyway. We'll have to catch a ship to Shard City to cut the distance."

Tsuna MikiShe assumed she didn't have to explain much seeing how Leah miraculously divulged information from her earlier. From her expressions, all the information she had collected on the child clicked immediately. Leah, of course, reviled in her sarcasm over Legion seeing that what he wanted was pretty straight-forward. As for his "test" earlier, Tsuna had nearly failed almost succumbing to his powers and narrowly getting them both killed. Her ears flattened down in shame before slipping the helmet on her head and mounting the backseat of the motorcycle. She wrapped her arms around Leah's fit torso listening to the engine ignite and then hum lightly as they sat there. She tried to comprehend the touchy subject eventually revealing a nightmare she had about her husband. Apparently, he had died in her dream and she went mad trying to resurrect him only to fail. His apparition was all the remained, just a ghostly reminder of her regrets and empty desires. This struck a cord with Tsuna feeling like the same possibility could arise in her future if she kept searching for her father. She figured a little slip up like that wouldn't keep Legion at bay before finally mentioning the Jewel. Tsuna's grip loosened a bit in interest as she tried to press for further answers. "Jewel?" She pretended to act curiously, but hoped she was really speaking of the Emerald Jewel. Leah instantly diverted from the subject before bringing up Bergrisok causing the girl to tilt her head before give a firm head shake no. Leah told her regardless saying they had to catch a ship to Shard to cut the distance to which Tsuna smirked, "Sea shanties await us then." She hoped to lighten the grim mood.

Leah and Tsuna had a relatively short bike ride through the wilderness beneath the flying city of Skyfall. Leah had taken this trip many times in order to catch the ship from the local dockside town, this was the fastest and most frequently used route to go north to Shard. Leah would often go to Shard for business, and then would periodically visit home in Neutral city from there, Zeppelins were frequent between the two cities. When they arrived, Leah avoided paying any fair thanks to her Injustirian paperwork. The ship's captain even welcomes her aboard with Tsuna as they walked up the ramp after dropping the bike at the cargo bay. The vehicle would travel with them in storage. Just as the ship was setting off, Leah had actually moved to catch up with the captain it would seem, telling Tsuna she wouldn't be long.
After around 10 minutes, Leah held up her promise and emerged from the captain's cabin. She made her way along the wooden deck and could see Tsuna look out, leaning over the metal edge of the ship. She could hear the quiet hum of the engines below working to push through the waves of the sea. Leah could see land vanishing, and far in the distance she could almost make out the silhouette of Skyfall behind the clouds. She stopped beside Tsuna, not saying anything at first, instead she simply took in the view. "I prefer sailing" Leah began, "zeppelins make too much noise." Leah then turned around to lean back against the railing, she looked at Tsuna. "Tell me about your team, if you would like. I'd rather hear about them from you than pry into your public mission information on the database."

Tsuna MikiTsuna hardly payed attention to the scenery, even though she was memorizing the route in her head in case she needed to utilize it. Arriving at the docks, Leah avoided paying passage for her and herself seeing how the trip expenses count for official government business. Dropping her motorcycle off in the cargo bay, Tsuna sheepishly followed behind before Leah told her she had to briefly speak with the captain. As Tsuna wondered off alone over to the ship's railing, she passed by a storage room filled with fancy glass bottles. Alcohol? No, wine more likely considering how refined the voyage was turning out to be. Tsuna felt a little drink would take the edge off, so she swiped a bottle and chugged the syringing throat contents before tossing the bottle as far out to see as she could. Coughing grossly, she slumped onto the railing watching Skyfall fade away into a curtain of clouds. Leah finally appeared ten minutes later silently coming over to her side before prying her about her teammates. Tsuna straightened herself genuinely smiling, the alcohol hasn't taken effect just yet so explaining her team sounded beautifully euphoric. "They're amazing, sensational, strong, stubborn, smart, caring, loving....words can describe them enough." She turned away ashamed, "I don't deserve their friendship..." She whispered to herself missing them every second she had been gone. "Leah," she paused for a second trying to find the right words, "Does it hurt to die?" The question seemed out of the blue, but she wanted to know in case she never makes it back to them. By now, the drink had taken its course and Tsuna's complexion reddened forcing her to stabilize herself against the railing.

"They sound like impeccable teammates" Leah said, leaning further over the railing to stare at her wobbly reflection in the passing water. It was dark water down south, she looked forward to seeing it become more clear as they moved north towards Shard. As Tsuna described her thoughts on friendship Leah looked up beside her. "You can't mean that?" She asked, which was when Tsuna asked her a question that set the hairs up on her skin. At first she held her breath, but then she let out a quiet sigh as she thought back to her own thoughts about death. "It... would depend on the situation, don't you think? Death by fire, death by drowning, death by disease, battle... heartache." She was beginning to drift into her own thoughts when she noticed Tsuna almost lose balance. She didn't say anything but watched carefully for a moment, wondering if the girl wasn't good with travelling by boat, having no idea about the alcohol in her system. "You shouldn't be asking questions like that. It's like calling the grim reaper to your very own feet. Anyway - why would you have left your teammates behind if you have such great things to say about them. Every memory should be shared with the ones you care most about. The good... the bad. I... I've had dreams where... i had a vendetta and acted alone. It didn't end well for me, I didn't even get revenge, it was taken from me. I think of that all the time and remind myself - be grateful for what you have and never - ever let go."

Tsuna MikiLeah thought her self-loathing commentary wall folly, but she meant every word damning herself to a life of misery. Either it was the drink taking effect or her demented sense of morale as Leah tried to analyze her second question. Tsuna snorted as she leaned over the railing slurring out, "So serious! If you haven't noticed the Grim Reaper is already after me. I'm his number one fan!" She chortled loudly, she face turning more flush as the alcohol enveloped her system. However, truth rang in her prattle seeing that Legion was tracking her down while having Zoltan breathing down her neck. At that moment, as Leah exclaimed how she failed in her revenge losing everything and refusing never to let it happen again, she highly advised Tsuna to do the same. The child rocked back and forth absentmindedly, before responding lowly, "My love for them feels more selfish than fulfilling. They deserve better than me...you deserve better...Leah..."Tsuna trailed off as she finally threw up over the railing before slumping over onto the deck half in and out of consciousness. She didn't even want to think about betraying Leah at the moment, even though it'd happen eventually.

Leah tried to force out a confused chuckle, but all that came was a slight exhale from between her lips as she stared incredulously at Tsuna. She was joking about death, talking about it like it followed her where ever she went. It didn't sit right in Leah's stomach, not at all. How was a girl so young so filled with dark thoughts. She somehow didn't think it was a lie, either. Then Tsuna began to turn red leading Leah to believe she really did have sea sickness. But then as she began to rock, much like the slow bridle of the ship, Leah began to wonder otherwise. When Tsuna forced herself to lean over again and vomit over the edge Leah was startled, then activated her HALO to begin scanning Tsuna. As the scan began she was still deep in thought about what Tsuna said, about feeling selfish, about how Leah also deserved better. Her Halo then glowed red around the silhouette of Tsuna and Leah exclaimed "have you been drinking? Honestly - children these days." She then returned to being the Inquisitor again, her tone completely back to being formal. "You should go to your room and sleep this one off. If you think I will take you to that mountain with a hangover then you can quit your quest now." She waited for Tsuna to move before she looked over her shoulder at the girl, her eyes hanging low. She couldn't help but feel sorry for Tsuna. She needed to find the missing links to Tsuna's story, she needed to find out what was really going on.
Leah didn't take much longer than Tsuna to head in for sleep. The sun had begun hanging low quite quickly and as the ship sailed northwards she thought it would just be easier to sleep. But her mind was thinking for hours before she finally drifted off into sleep. Dawn came suddenly the next morning with the sound of seagulls flying overhead. From the porthole above her bed Leah felt the warm sun beating down on her skin where she had kicked off the blankets during the night. She was a restless sleeper and this came as no surprise to her. She took no time in getting dressed and head up to deck to smell the fresh morning breeze from over the railing. She could see the coastline of Shard in the far distance, it was green, even from this far. She could even make out the sharp spires of the city along the horizon. She could recall the weathermancers of Shard standing atop them, calling down the bolts of lightning to redirect the energy from other buildings. They were fantastic, they could change the weather too, if they needed, but the Circle often forbid it unless it was really necessary. The Circle was wise - beyond compare. They had lived longer than most people in Occulas, saw more than anyone should, even witnessed the fall of Kuj'anast.
It wasn't long until Leah had her HALO activated and it's white hologram appeared around her head. It widened to become easier to view information on as she gestured to different pieces of info that appeared and moved to the side as she delved deeper. 'Team Sun' one read, 'The trio known as Team Sun was created at the beginning of the Otherearth Expedition. Comprised of Micha'el Maues, Tsuna Miki, and Scarlot Tamiya-Satoru, each students at Hope Academy. Mr Maues and Miss Tamiya-Satoru were a Pair at Hope Academy prior to Team Sun. The trio were later joined by Aoi Celeste temporarily during the expedition.' Leah glanced over at the name to begin with but quickly moved backwards to reread the sentence. Celeste? Leah thought, quickly delving further. "Sh*t" Leah mumbled to herself. That's Arisa's sister she thought, flicking back to the original information. She learned that Micha'el was an only child, much like Scarlott. Micha'el lived a pretty ordinary life in Neutral City with his mother before joining Hope. Scarlot has lived in multiple locations, having lived in England and then moving to Osaka to join he uncles before moving with them to Neutral to attend Hope Academy, showing some great skill in her practical tests to enter. She felt tired and as if her eyes were blurring over as she read through Micha'els file, but couldn't put her finger on why. As she read Scarlot's she noticed some 'REDACTED' information, and could only imagine that the Occult was involved. They were almost the only organisation she didn't have clearance to investigate. As for Tsuna, there was little to no information on the girl other than the fact she was in Neutral and joined Hope, and was somehow able to begin in 3rd year. She was Therian, that much was obvious, but she was in a strange state of being between humanoid and pure Therian. The girl got stranger and stranger the more she tried to investigate, in fact, the whole team was strange. Even Aoi, who wasn't in Team Sun anymore. A girl who's voice enchanted others, not like a siren, but like a songstress of old. Many magic-folk had unique quirks, it was what made them stand out, something they were better at than anyone else. Take Alexis Truesvale for example, she was uniquely fantastic at arcane magic, even without magic calculation.
Then suddenly Leah heard movement behind her and as she looked over her should, as quick as a flash, the HALO closed down and concealed any information she was researching. It was Tsuna. "Feeling better this morning?" she asked, half caring and half stern. "We'll be at Shard City in little less than half an hour. Be ready to head out, we won't be able to linger in the city for long less we want the Circle snooping around us."

Tsuna MikiTsuna giggled to herself frivolous as Leah leaned over to scan her anatomy with her HALO. If the girl were sober, she'd begin to wonder how many functions the device has. Once Leah discovered she was intoxicated, she reverted back to her inquisitor composure when they first met. Like a strict, reasonable mother, she commanded Tsuna to sleep it off in her cabin quarters. Tsuna was easily pursued, and left the deck in a drunken stupor. Miraculous making it back to the cabin, she flopped onto the bed and hugged a pillow close to her curling around it. Tears steamed down her face before she sadly tried to rip off the necklace that Zoltan had given her. It must have been charmed not to be removed because any direction she pulled it would stay. She gave up exasperated and begged into the feather stuffed fabric to spare Leah of betrayal. "Please...don't make me do this...I can't..." She sobbed out repetitiously as if Zoltan could hear her pathetic whimpers. Eventually, she cried herself to sleep and didn't awake until late morning.
The stinging sunlight filtering through her closed lids signaled her to rise from her hard sleep. She groaned irritated, hungover with a massive headache obviously. Pushing her frazzled red locks out of her face, she slowly uncurled herself and got up to reluctantly greet the new day. The cawing of seagulls and the brisk breeze adding to the throbbing in her skull. The salty air was an unfamiliar smell to her as she had never been to the beach or grown up near the sea. The molded muddy smell of the marshes was more recognizable then this vast body of water. Tsuna found Leah near the rails staring ahead at their destination of Shard. Green at the Emerald Jewel and radiant in its obscenely tall spires. The weathermancers were hard at work in the distance conducting volts of lighting and other natural resources into spires that convert it into energy.
Tsuna saw as another ritzy location that'll just add to her growing list of hassles to reconcile with. Taking her place next to Leah, the woman advised her to sharpen up so they can more quickly before the Circle apprehends them. Tsuna simple nodded half-attentive as her mind was preoccupied with more oppressive matters. Instead of being inquisitive or cocky, she replied in a sheepish tone, "Yes...Leah..." At this point, she refused look her in the eyes out shame and perhaps mercy. The only thing that worked to her advantage while she was drunk is that now Leah is cross with her. Anyone would have been shattered by her cold shoulder, but Tsuna welcomed it as a parting gift. It'd be easier for Leah to stay mad at her because at least when the betrayal happens, Leah will relinquish her remorse and won't hold back. Tsuna wanted her to triumph and defeat her in combat or whatever friction they exert against each other. That way, if she wins, she'll take the jewel and hopefully this time demolish it. Then neither her nor Zoltan will have the temptation of seeking out the jewel and abusing its power. Tsuna adjusted the strap to her hammer at her side ready to unleash it at a moments notice.
