Everyone has heard of the times of dragons. How the war destroyed almost both the humans and the dragons entirely. But that was a long time ago. So long ago the bards barely remember the story. Now the bards sing of the partnership between the dragons and the humans.
The Partnership of the humans and the dragons came at great cost. It meant both humans and dragons working together and even giving some of their own kind up. This Partnership brought the 'Shrine'. A place, built as if overnight by the dragons, for them to set up the school. A place where each dragon would have a human partner and every human a dragon partner. Not to be slaves but in hopes that in the future they could work together for a better world.
The Dragons had to give over four eggs. Two male and Two female dragons. Eggs that were special to the clans. They were rebirths from ancient times. Great dragons that were given the promise of a second life. These eggs held deep in the earth for many years finally resurfaced. When dragons are born their size grows fast. In a week they would be the size of a small elephant. in a month...you get my drift. They are set to hatch after all the royals gather at the Shrine.
The Humans have to give over four of their royals. Two Male and Two females. Some volunteered some were voluntold. Either way they may never see their families again. For the rest of their life they have to be beside a dragon.
But their are some catches Humans do not know that dragons can have human forms. Most dragons find it demeaning so doesnt happen alot. Most of the humans are not happy about this Partnership and plan to destroy the Shrine if they can. But lastly A greater force, an evil force, wants to destroy this partnership and steal these dragons.
Last but not least....These humans and dragons never expected to fall for their 'other half'
