Ceremonies/Clan Rules
Cats carry a 'first name' and a 'surname'(rank name).
Kittens have –kit (ex: Ripplekit, Frogkit, Gingerkit ) Apprentices have –paw (ex: Ripplepaw, Frogpaw, Gingerpaw) Warriors have many different names. (ex: Ripplegrass, Froglegs, Gingerstripes) Deputy's have carry the same name they had as a Warrior. Elders have a Warrior name, or a name describing their 'battle wounds' (ex: Halftail) Medicine cats have names like Warriors also. Leaders have –star (ex: Ripplestar)
Yowl call (Call to get the Clans Attention)
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey join me here under the [high place where the speaker can be easily viewed.] Speech places: Cloud Clan- Skyward ledge Puddle Clan- Large boulder Dark Clan- High cleft Hollow Clan- Twisted Branch Sunken Clan- Small mound
Example of an Apprentices' Naming Ceremony (dawn)
[Leader]star starts with Yowl call, and waits till all cats' show up.
“By naming apprentices, we show that [Hollow] clan will survive and remain strong. [Frog]kit, You have now reached six moons, from now on you will be known as [Frog]paw." yowled [Leader]star.
"[Warrior] you [have shown great courage, may you pass it down to (Frog)paw.] [Warrior] you will be [Frog]paw's mentor."
Mentor and Apprentice touch noses'. Everyone yowls the Apprentices' new name and congratulates him or her.
Example of a Warriors' Naming Ceremony (dusk)
[Leader]star starts with Yowl call, and waits till all cats' show up.
“[Frog]paw you [have proven your an excellent fighter and you have shown tremendous courage.”] mewed [Leader]star “[It is time for you to become a warrior; from now on you shall be known as [Froglegs]. May Star Clan guide your path.”
The new warrior licks the leaders shoulder, and the leader rests his jaw on the new warriors' head. Everyone yowls the warriors' new name and congratulates him or her. The warrior sit's vigil all night while the rest of the clan sleeps.
Example of a Deputy's Naming Ceremony (moon-high)
When the moon comes out on the night of the previous deputies death, or when the moon comes out on the night a Deputy is made Leader. [Leader]star starts with Yowl call, and waits till all cats' show up.
“I say these words before the body of [former deputy/ Star Clan], So that so that his/her/their spirit(s) may hear and approve my choice. [Froglegs] will be the new deputy of [Hollow]Clan.”
Example of an Elders' Retirement Ceremony
“[Gingerstripes], is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?” mews [leader]star. “It is.” replies [Gingerstripes] “Your clan honors all the services you have given us .I call upon Star Clan to give you many season’s of rest.[from now on you will be called (elder name, ex: Brokeneyes) ]”
Their name does not necessarily have to change (ex: Longtail, Runningnose, Mousefur), but if it does it is something that reflects how they are now usually because of an injury they received somewhere along the call of duty. (ex: Halftail, Oneeye, Lostface).
Example of a Medicine cats' Naming Ceremony
“[medicine apprentice], do you promise to up hold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart form rivalry between clan and clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?” [Medicine cat asks at the Star Clans gathering place] “I do." replies [Med. cat Apprentice] Then by the powers of Star Clan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. [apprentice], from this moment on you will be known as [new Med. cat name].”
Example of a Leader' Naming Ceremony
The medicine cat leads the Deputy to Star Clans gathering place. The med. cat waits while the Deputy [_________] and falls into a deep slumber.
The deputy dreams that nine Star Clan cats each go up to him/her in turn and touch noses'. When this happens the deputy feels every emotion that each cat has ever felt [most of them are painful at some point], and is given their 'life'. When the deputy has received all nine lives they are given the name *star and become a new clan leader.

Territories
Omnipotent cats >>Only Deathgiver and Angelwing are omnipotent for the time being. Brightstar declined the right to be like her brother and sister because she loves the Clans dearly and chose to watch over them as the leader of StarClan instead. >>Dead cats become omnipotent only after a long time and if they have contributed to the world of the living while alive and while dead. >> The Omnipotent Cats have the ability to travel outside the realm of StarClan. They are dead and thus do not have any power over the living realm, but they watch over all cats with no discrimnation. They are no apart of StarClan although they visit often. If StarClan is considered the Gods of the cats then the Omnipotent cats are the Gods of the StarClan cats. They watch over not only the Clan cats, but the rouges, the kitty-pets, and the Tribe cats.
Star Clan >>StarClan is the home of the dead warriors, medicine cats, leaders, deputies, queens, elders, kits, and apprentices of the Clans. It consists only of dead Clan cats. If you are exiled from the clans, if you leave the clans of your own free will, and if you are not apart of the clans you will not ascend to StarClan upon death. >> StarClan is a starry misty plane of existence that is only graced by the dead cats of the clans and medicine cats. Leaders visit it when they get their lives and each time they lose a life. It can take any shape the dead wish, as it is not totally corporeal.
CloudClan >>Cat's of this clan are good at jumping really high and leaping from rock to rock easily. They have powerful back legs and tough pads; most of them have gray, white, or light brown fur that blends in with the rocks and snow. >>They live in the higher up rocky and mountainous area of the Clan territory. From the top of their territory, they look out upon the rest of the Clans easily. Their territory consists of lots of rocks, boulders, and other such mishaps. They have few plants if any and all their plants are the same dull colours as their rocks. The Medicine cats often have to search long and hard for their supply of herbs although, near the borders of CloudClan the territory becomes more fertile and most of the herbs needed are found there. Their Eastern border is shared with HollowClan. Their Western border is shared with SunkenClan. Their Northern border leads up into higher mountains.Their Southern border of course touches the Moon Clearing. Where the Clan's monthly gatherings are held. >> Their camp resides at the top of their territory. Being higher up they are more prone to attacks from birds of prey and thus they have put the Nursery and Apprentices' Den within a cave which they situated their camp around. The rest of their dens are made with rocks and loose mountain brush. >>Prey: Quail, Turkey(Need a couple cats to take them down), squirrel, eagle (Need a couple cats to take them down), hawk (need a couple cats to take them down), rabbit, mouse >>Predator: Mountain lion, badger, wolf, bear, eagles (Can easily hunt apprentices, kits, and new warriors. Will hunt down older cats if they are by themselves and prey is running low [leaf-bare]), hawks (Can easily hunt apprentices, kits, and new warriors. Will hunt down older cats if they are by themselves and prey is running low [leaf-bare]) >>Also beware: Rattlesnakes
HollowClan >>These cats are adapted at getting through brambles and other foliage quickly and efficiently. They are relatively small and their short coats don't snag easily. A thunderpath touches the edge of their forest on the north side of their territory. >>Their territory consists of desiduous forrest with a small more pine forrest near the Southeast side of their territory. Their camp is situated in a Noutheast location. In the Southwest, their territory becomes very swampy and hard to traverse without inept knowledge of the territory. Their Eastern border is shared with CloudClan. Their Western Border is shared with DarkClan. Their Norther border touched a thunderpath, and beyond that is filled with fields and farms of two-legs. Their Southern border of course touches the Moon Clearing. Where the Clan's monthly gatherings are held. >>HollowClan Camp is situated within a dense set of trees that guard a clearing. Woven inbetween the trees all the way up to the branches is thorn bushes and vines. There is only one opening into camp, a small hole that is a tight squeeze even for the HollowClan cats that are used to finding their way through dense bracket. This one part of the camp wall has been picked clean of all thorns and other harmful things. >>HollowClan cats know how to swim but are more used to walk or wading through swamp water. >>Prey: squirrel, mouse, voles, sparrow, warbler, rabbit, toad, frog >>Predator: Hawk, fox, badger, owl, the occasional bear. >>Also beware: Adders
PuddleClan >>These cat's can swim really well and can dive underwater for short periods of time, before the time they are old enough to walk. >>Their territory consists of lots of rivers, islands. There camp is situated in the dead center of their territory on a large island. To the South of Puddleclan are Two-leg homes and kitty-pets. To the West of PuddleClan is DarkClan. To the East of PuddleClan is SunkenClan. And to the North of PuddleClan is of course the Moon Clearing. Where the Clan's monthly gatherings are held. >>On one side of the island is a rushing gorge impossible to cross even by the best of PuddleClan's swimmers, and on the other side a deep wide river. When other clan cats are forced to visit they are forced to swim across this river with help from other PuddleClan cats. The rivers are the only sort of defense PuddleClan has to their camp. Besides that its very open and cool. >>Prey: ducks, water vole, trout, catfish, bass, squirrel, mouse, toad, frog, mussels >>Predator: wolf, fox, badger, owl >>Also beware: water moccasins, beaver
Sunken Clan >>These cat's are low down and dirty, just like their dens. They don't have many skills, but they can hunt in poor conditions very well, they are also quite fast and very thin. They can fit into almost any spot if need be. >>Their territory is very dry and sparse. The few plants they have they must be careful with for it is their only protection and also their only medicinal herbs. The Northern part of their territory heads up into the same mountains as CloudClan's territory. Their Southern border is of course touching the the Moon Clearing. Where the Clan's monthly gatherings are held. The Eastern edge border is shared with PuddleClan and the Western border ascends up to CloudClan. >>They have learned to burrow like other animals. Their entire camp is hidden underneath their territory in tunnels and caves. The one entrance is located in the South West corner of their territory. They have an emergency exit from their camp in the North West part of their territory but it is rarely used and very well hidden. >>Prey: Mouse, burrowing owls, prairie dogs, ferrets, thrush, rabbit, young fox and young badgers. The occasion adult fox or badger (if many many cats are present to take it down) >>Predator: fox, badger, hawk(Can easily hunt apprentices, kits, and new warriors. Will hunt down older cats if they are by themselves and prey is running low [leaf-bare]), eagle(Can easily hunt apprentices, kits, and new warriors. Will hunt down older cats if they are by themselves and prey is running low [leaf-bare]) >>Also beware: snakes
DarkClan >>A lot of these cats are born blind and so have adapted to living in complete darkness; their fur is either very pale or very dark. They are excellently skilled at hunting and fighting at night when the other clans would be majorly disadvantaged. >>Their territory consists on the outer edges of dense pine trees that rarely let the sun pass through their needles and as you go deeper in it becomes caves and tunnels leading into the ground. Rarely are DarkClan cats seen walking above ground. They live deep with in these tunnels and caves. Their camp location is unknown as it is impossible to travel the tunnels and caves without getting lost, unless you know them as well as DarkClan cats. On their Eastern border (that they share with PuddleClan) they have many underground lakes and rivers that sooner or later flow out into PuddleClan territory. On their western border they have dense pine trees and a few small swamps. On their Southern border they touch Two-leg houses and kitty-pet land. And their Northern border of course touches the Moon Clearing. Where the Clan's monthly gatherings are held. >>Their camp is located in the center of their territory and can only be found through following a series of tunnels, caves, and paths into the depths of the ground below DarkClan territory. It is located in a large cave with many tunnels leading off to smaller caves where the dens are kept. It is dark and cold, although on good days, there is a small oppening that shines down on the High Cleft. The moonlight or sunlight will shine through to that one spot and warm the rocks and hearts of DarkClan. >>Prey: blind cavefish, eyeless shrimp, bats, mouse, rabbit, snails, lizards, toad, frog, mussels, snakes >>Predators: Raccoons, Bears, Foxes, Cougars >>Also beware: snakes
The Tribe of Salted Waters/Other Tribes >>Under Constructions
NoClan >> A Dark Dank forest where the dead live. It is the home of the bad. The ones who betrayed their Clans or their families. They were forsaken by their loved ones and tried to take control of what was not theirs. Now they suffer eternally within the dark lightless forests of NoClan with only eachother as company. They often break out into fights and tear each other to shreds. But the dead cannot die and so they wake to feel the pain and suffer once again. Darkstar is the only known resident of NoClan.... for now.
Rouges/ Loners >>Cats that don’t live with twolegs , clans, or tribes. >>Rouges most often live in groups together and have their own sets of beliefs and ideas, much like the Clans and Tribes. The only difference is they usually consist of only family members, usually have no set home, and are not big enough to be considered anything official. >>Loners are cats that live by themselves or in groups of two to three cats. One exception is two cats and their kits. They usually stay away from the other groups of cats. >>They live wherever they can find a home, and hunt wherever they please. They often are traveling and moving places, because no one place accepts them for very long.
Kitty-pets >>They live in two-leg nests, South of DarkClan, PuddleClan. They are looked down upon in the clans; in fact a can cat is called a kitty-pet as an insult.
