Wenut is one of the lesser known goddesses. Her name means "the swift one." She was the patron goddess of the 15th nome which is located in Upper Egypt. She is one of the Seven Arrows of Bast and is also listed as an Eye of Ra. Wenut was associated with snakes but was depicted more with desert hares. Wenenu is said to be her male counterpart.

That's a lovely statue. I never knew that there were any gods/goddesses associated with hares.
