Iaidō - refers to a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard.
The speed at which these techniques can be executed — the initial strike in particular — is such, that when performed by a skilled user, it can prevent enemy shinobi from forming hand seals (and thus ninjutsu), by exploiting the small opening that these movements create. This makes them highly effective against most shinobi and potentially, those of even Hanzō's caliber, if performed by one who has mastered the style, such as Mifune.

This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items that have been stored using fūinjutsu ( 1 item per seal). Scrolls are the most common choice for item storage. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons or have other seals inside of them, which expands the number of potential tricks a shinobi can use.
Kenjutsu
-100 Cuts Technique[S-Rank]: Makes a hundred strikes/slashes within 2 seconds. With heavy swords, this technique is reduced to fifty strikes.
-Slash[C-Rank to SS-Rank]: A single good cut. With enough power, focus, and practice, this technique can dominate even walls of steel[A-Rank] and diamond[S-Rank]. In full mastery, it can cut the air and expand to mow down nearly anything in its path[A- to SS-Rank].
-Smash[C-Rank to A-Rank]: A brutal smash of the hilt butt, usually done to stun the opponent in the head or limbs, but can also be used to break normal weapons and skulls[B-Rank] or to, at a certain level of skill, boulders and walls[A-Rank].
-Stunning Strike[B-Rank to A-Rank]: A strike with the back of the blade, this can stun enemies through a weapon or with direct combat, the time ranging from 2 seconds[B-Rank] to 4 seconds[A-Rank].
-Thrust[C-Rank to S-Rank]: A quick stab of great strength, this can usually cause more internal and mortal damage, though is somewhat less accurate than the slash. With practice, it can become faster and stronger than before. At B-Rank it can launch pressurized air that pushes the opponent away. At A-Rank, it can pierce with this air at double the length of the blade. At S-Rank, it can send out a barrage of ten A-Rank Thrusts a second for five seconds.
-Shockwave[B-Rank to S-Rank]: This technique can be used to force an opening in a tight spot, creating a burst after cutting that pushes things away from the path it followed. At A-Rank this can be used to send things within a ten foot radius flying away. At S-Rank, it can level forest up to thirty meters away.
-Chakra Flow[C-Rank to A-Rank]: The conduction of elemental chakra into weapons to increase their combat potency with the elemental properties.
Flying Swallow - B Rank
Description: An addition-line ninjutsu that augments the killing power of a blade — like a kunai or sword — by flowing chakra into it. The materialized chakra is shaped like a blade, cutting up everything it touches. It is also possible to alter the attack range of the weapon by adjusting the amount of chakra put into the blade. Seeing through the movements is said to be very difficult.
The density of the chakra is so high it becomes visible. It not only raises the power of the weapon, but simultaneously turns oneself into a blade as well. The chakra-enhanced blades are strong and sharp enough to cut through solid rock and iron. The technique works best with elemental chakra, especially with wind-natured chakra which greatly increases the offensive cutting power.

Nuibari:
The Nuibari (縫い針; Literally meaning "Sewing Needle") is one of the swords of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist, wielded by Kushimaru Kuriarare. The blade itself assumes the form of a narrow "longsword" (長刀, chōtō) that greatly resembles a large needle, with a long length of thin wire-mirroring thread, tied through the eye located at the base of its hilt. This sword is said to possess the ability to pierce all and stitch them together, demonstrated through its ability to effortlessly penetrate multiple targets in a single thrust and then quite literally stitched them together in substantial bundles, by simply pulling the attached wire taut. A capable user can even throw the sword with the intent of piercing a line of multiple enemies, before catching the needle at the other side and repeating the process at different angles, in order to create knots of corpses with the wire passing through the entirety, effectively creating bundles of bodies at various points along the length of the thread.
The sword is first seen when a reincarnated Mangetsu Hōzuki summons it from a scroll, where it is then returned to Kushimaru, and last seen in the anime when Kushimaru is sealed.

Using the Nuibari, the user buries the sword's attached razor sharp wire string underground. Once a person stumbles into the area, they pull the string to trap their feet in a formation of wire, cutting them off. The power and force behind the wires can be controlled by the user by applying additional strength.
Kakashi was able to counter the technique by landing atop the wires instead of between them. Might Guy was also able to counter the technique by using a kunai to stop the wires from converging.

Using Nuibari and wire strings, Kushimaru strings his opponents in a way that leaves their bodies looking as though they were crucified. The final blow is given by piercing them with Nuibari, leaving his opponents to die a slow painful death.

Background Information
KIra was left on the doorsteps of a family in Kiragakure. With him was a note detailing his name. Kira was raised as a normal boy, until the age of ten when his foster parents died and left him an orphan. He found the ninja academy to be hard for him. He was unable to preform many of the jutsu that the other students could, his only real skill was with a weapon. It did not matter the weapon, he learned to master them quickly and easily. The other students finding him as a freak picked on him. The villages saw him as a strange boy, a young ninja unable to preform some of the most basic water jutsu. Having barely graduated at the bottom of the class, his new teammates felt like he would drag him down and often left him behind when going out on missions.
A former swordsman saw the truth, that he was a young man with exceptional skill with the blade. Kira was taken under the old man's wing and taught kenjutsu. The old man and him had great fun and trained hard. Once Kira's training was finished he was given a twin pair of chakra swords and taught a sealing jutsu in order to protect rare weapons.
Several years later he was requested to become one of the seven swordsman of the mist, which he gladly accepted. Having gotten his weapon he felt as if he knew the blade on a spiritual level, and quickly demonstrated incredible skill with the blade.
At the age of twenty-five he discovered lost scrolls detailing a cache of weapons of great power. In order to find these weapons he left his village and went searching. It took a full year for his efforts to come to fruition, for he had found the lost vault of weapons. After touching each and every one of them it came apparent that they where crying out, wanting to be held and used, not sealed away. but quickly after being touched they crumbled to dust almost as if they had just enough strength to send on their message. On that day he vowed to collect all legendary swords in existent and prevent the possibility of being abused.
Still considered part of the village. he however, wishes to gather all seven weapons one day. As of now he is traveling in search of new weapons and making a living as a hunter-ninja.
