Thoughts? feelings? Encouragement? words to say? post anything that you have to say about today announcement, if it was hard reading then imagine typing it. I did cry. so Ladies were in this together!

Okay, so after reading the announcement and after reading what one of the guys was saying on your profile, here's my thoughts.
First off, I'm not sure what he was quoting, but I can say I'm pretty sure he's taking it out of context. There's nothing wrong with having a guild only for women, the way he seemed to be wording it was that we are using this guild to distance ourselves from men, which totally isn't the case. This place is a special place for women to grow in Christ together, to talk about things and to pray about things together. I think it is very important for women to have their own place, because it gives us a place that we can discuss and grow in the things that only women go through, and can talk about certain things in the Bible that apply more for women than men. Just as I believe that is important for men to have their own place as well. Yes they both need to learn and grow together as well, but there are a lot of guilds out there that are for both men and women in Christ, it isn't like we are segregating ourselves, we are just setting aside a place for us to discuss things that apply more towards women or things that we only feel safe discussing with other women.
I really like this guild (even if I'm not always entirely active) because I know that I have a support group of women that I can talk to and grow in Christ with, and who I can help support as well.
You're not doing anything wrong at all by having this guild be for women only, so please don't let anyone tell you that you are.

Ditto what Jewelies said. Also I read his comments, and it kind of sounds like he's a broken record. He doesn't have any facts to back up his claim. He keeps bringing up 'segregation', and that's it. I wouldn't worry about people like him. People who don't know what they're talking about and are too stubborn to change their views aren't worth your time. You're doing an excellent job of dealing with him. I wouldn't have told him that I'd talk to God, but you did. Just another reason why you're a great captain smile If he comments back again, just tell him what you think God is telling you, and if He's telling you to leave the guild as women only, then tell Leon that, then block him. That way you're leaving it on God's note and he can't harass you anymore.
