Rankings

What do rankings truly bring to a community as a whole? Competition? Tension? Rewards upon success? Well, in this case rankings will be based off of a monitored points system. Points can be both added and deducted. As our rule states, one does not start off all powerful. Thus, one does not start off with a copious amount of points. Points can be earned through missions and annual events that will be held. The more dire the mission or event, the more point one will receive upon success. All events that will be held and all missions that will be given will vary and will not hopefully be duplicated. Over time we will try to challenge your wits and abilities as a role player and the bounds of your character. Based off of your points the importance of your rank is shown rather boldly to other characters as it reflects a few aspects from a social standing.

You may earn points in general based on your performance in events and missions, but also how you contribute to the City'. Again, based on the amount of your points you will have certain privileges and advantages over others. One of them is a higher appointment in your corresponding faction or higher living standards as elites and council members of your faction receive a separate housing unit from the general members. Points will be awarded based off of the development of the character, faction, or how in-depth their profile is when it is submitted. Alchemist/Engineer/Police characters will automatically start off at 100 and even higher if found necessary by the Captain or Vice Captains. Officials may automatically start off at 1000 and being indifferent or a commoner will result that you start off with 0 points.

When making a commoner or indifferent, keep in mind that they cannot receive the benefit of receiving and completing missions as one would if they were part of the Engineer, Alchemist, or Police faction. They will still be able to receive points, but the rate in which they receive them will be of a slower pace then those of a respectable faction. There will be commoner-esque events and missions separate from the factions as their rewards will be very minuscule.

Housing

The amount of points one has will decide where they live according to their factions. Each faction will have a plot of land for their housing filled with only members of that corresponding faction. Engineers and Alchemists will have their own respectable plot and buildings, but commoners and police will have to mix. Although, the higher end of the commoner housing will most likely be occupied with all police if not a commoner has found higher standards of living among the forces. Officials and Council members will receive their own building in which will be stocked with luxurious things and such. From velvet couches to possibly chrome sinks. If you're an official or a member of your faction's council, you're living the high life. Their building will only be guarded by the City's finest select few of the Police Force as they also will receive benefits, but not able to reside in the same building as the rest.

The state of the apartments for general members will not vary even if their points are the lowest in the entire role play. This applies for both Engineers and Alchemists respectfully. Each room of the general members will have one bedroom, one bathroom, with a kitchen and living space. An extra bedroom upon the request of a room mate could be arranged, but with an extra fee of course. However, if you choose to have a room mate, they will be chosen at random by a Vice Captain or myself, the Captain. Although, for both factions you will be given one month free of payment both in rent and utilities in courtesy of the faction officials as they're bluntly nice, but anything however over one month is non existent. Be thankful that they've given you this.
