One must walk from the streets of Nirvani and follow a path a distance till a jungle of green opens into sight. Here if one chooses to follow the path, they'll find that the trees are much taller in person. As they tower overhead a great two stories or three high, the canopy thickens in areas beyond the capability of the sun, suffocating the foliage below in areas to only leave life to the moss, fungus, and bits of grass to flourish. In other areas, the sun breaks through in great beams of light to give awe to the array of beautiful plant life. Various flowers grow in these areas, them being a majority of small violet, blue, and red sprouting from bushes. The foliage will vary greatly in species due to the meddling of man, but what once was unbalanced has now been forced into a sort of harmony with the woods. This forest can easily be mistaken as a jungle at times and, indeed, even the creatures that live inside would remind one vaguely of such fantastic tales of the jungles. Moose, bears, deer, boars, bright, colorful birds, snakes of great size, and many other dangers lurk here.

It was an unusually deep sleep the feline had found herself in at a most unusual time. When eyes opened in one single, smooth moment, the woman flipping up onto her feet before even allowing them a chance to adjust to the light, Catrina Murrow noticed a most peculiar scene for herself that she could honestly say she had never had the chance to experience. There was green everywhere, the first beams of sunlight were shimmering through the overcast branches, and she had no idea where she was.

Her body was tense and ready to spring on any predator as she left her mouth open to taste the air since flared nostrils weren't doing much good. This was unsettling and she desperately wanted whatever violence was sure to come to just come already because standing in position was getting pretty painful. But, minutes ticked by and nothing happened! The huntress snapped her mouth shut and cautiously sat back on her haunches, wide eyes scanning the area for the umpteenth time. Nothing. She made an upset sound deep in her throat as she lapped at her hands anxiously, trying to rid herself of any scent that could possibly alert some horrible animal to her presence because she really couldn't sense anything. Catrina had gone through the forest several times for hunting and games, but this wasn't fun. She wasn't stalking a thing and she had the feeling she wasn't alone, which meant she could be the prey this time. Her stomach flipped and she chewed on her hand furiously, sinking closer to the ground to make herself harder to spot. Not that it did much good.

Ah, the wonderful smell of the wild in the morning. Wait. That wasn't right. He opened his groggy eyes and rubbed at them feverishly, attempting to force himself awake. What had happened the night before? He couldn't imagine anything that he would've done that could possibly land him out in the middle of the woods. The worst part was that he could hear some rustling around him. This caused him to instantly become alert and he jumped to his feet. At this point, he noticed that he had made it to bed as he was wearing his bedtime sweatpants and was without shoes. He looked around and tried to find something to protect himself with. He knew that he wouldn't be able to hold his own with some wild beast unless he had some form of protection. He carefully tiptoed his way over towards some rubbish and gently moved some branches, trying to find one that could be used as a sort of spear. After sifting through what felt like two dozen branches, he finally found one that had a bit of a point on it. He used a small rock to quickly sharpen it up as best he could and walked towards the sound that he had first heard.

If only he weren't fearing for his life, he might be able to take in the beauty that this scenery held. He had never made it this far into the forest before, time was never willing for him to take many adventures. While turning passed the tree he had awoken under, he heard what sounded like an agitated wildcat and knew that he was in more danger than he had imagined. Although he was scared, in the back of his mind he had hoped that he would find a squirrel around this corner. He placed his bare back against the tree and took a deep breath, he'd need to be calm and steady if he was going to save himself and make it back home. That had to be what all of this was, an unpleasant test of his strength. He would have to prove himself worthy of life. With one more deep breath, he inched around the corner and dared to peek at what was waiting him. A lightly colored, rather large cat was slunk into the shadows of the trees and at that moment he knew exactly what he was up against: a cougar. He raised the spear up in his arm and began charging towards the beast and gave his best Tarzan roar.

It was moments of tense agitation later that Catrina heard the first sound – the clatter of wood on wood, rustling of underbrush, and she swore she felt something underfoot. Vibrations? If that was true, then she may be looking at the last, mighty elephant that still roamed the forest. Or even that crazy bear! She could smell the rabies on the black and white mongrel whenever she glimpsed him and it made a cold shiver run up her spine to imagine getting even a nick from something infected with that dreadful disease. She knew Romane had vaccinated her for it, but all of the terribleness of that event had left her feeling sour and doubtful for how well the vet had actually done. In fact, she was almost a hundred percent certain that the man had injected her with something to kill the cat inside of her. Thankfully, she had several lives left in her, so she managed to survive the visit!

But she wasn't entirely sure if she could survive this. She lifted her head and took a few more whiffs of the air, but she only got morning dew and the smell of what could be a dead mouse a tree or so away and, however pleasing that mental imagery was, Catrina didn't allow herself to linger on it. She hissed at nothing in particular and was getting up to try to hunt the beast before it got to her, but she was too late. A loud yell that sent birds above fluttering from their roost and a chime of distant animals howling in return somewhere far away forced her to twist herself around with a yowl in response. She just barely managed to scurry out of the way of the fellow predator with a number of mrowls of the most crude type sent back at him, scaling a close tree to the first branch wide enough to hold her weight.

There, she allowed herself to breath and observe the one below. It was a man. ..In fact, it was the local gym owner, whom she only vaguely remembered from her days as a masterful detective before she passed the buck to Zelynity. She sat tensely on the branch and narrowed her eyes with a hiss, before remembering he would never understand her first language. She wrinkled her nose and forced her fur down enough so she could coherently manage out, “Who sent you?! Kssssssssst.” She spat and kneaded the tree as threateningly as she could, sending glances around below to see if anyone else had come along. She didn't think the dogs could get so organized to plan an attack like this, but it was her fault for not preparing for it. She should have known.

Todd's heart was pounding almost hard enough to drown out the sound of his roar within his own head. Once the monster was up and out of reach, he knew that he had made a mistake. He shouldn't have given himself away like that. Now he had lost his element of surprise. That meant that whoever was holding onto his fate would not look upon him with favor. He wasn't going to be able to beat this kitty in its own element. He wasn't from the woods! He was a simple city man. It wasn't until he looked up at the feline on the branch that he realized that she wasn't a bobcat, after all. It was that highly disturbed woman that thought she was a cat. He dropped his spear to the ground and bent over in laughter. It took him a few minutes before he was fully able to speak and standing back in an upright position. He looked back up at her and almost lost it again as he noticed her paws kneading at the branch she was sitting on. She did have some pretty good reflexes to even get that high up in the tree, he'd give her that.

He thought that it might be helpful to play along and get back on her good side. She seemed to be more in tune with nature, maybe she could see which way was back to town from up there. "Kitty, kitty, kitty, kiiiiitty!" He reached his hand up towards her, using the same technique he used on stray cats as a child. "I thought you were a big, bad cougar. I didn't mean to come charging out you. Why don't you come on down?" He kept his hand outstretched towards her, hoping she'd gain some confidence about him if she could smell him. He'd worry about trying to figure out what was going on here after he got her trust. If he couldn't have any trust with the one person that he was doomed here with, he probably wasn't getting home anyway.

Rather than answer her, the man had the audacity to burst out into laughter over her! She narrowed her eyes further as a growl rumbled in her throat, squeezing the branch tighter in irritation as she waited out his amusement. It was fine, she told herself, he would soon understand the mistake he had just made. She hardly blinked at him as he cooed to her, talking to her in a way that he certainly wasn't permitted to do, especially when he hadn't bothered to tell her just what he was. For all she knew, he was another filthy mongrel dying for the chance to tear into her! Attacking her certainly didn't help his case, in that respect, and, even if he had done it only because he thought she was a threat, his mistake was in how he now decided she wasn't a threat to him. Either way, the man was on her blacklist.

But she soothed herself even with that in mind, stretching across the branch languidly with a soft purr. She rolled onto her stomach and flicked her imaginary tail, “Mrrrr.. No. Why don't you go take a flea dip, mau, and drown?” She hissed the last line out, but it was quickly followed with a mirthful purr before her attention went to their surroundings. Nothing that she could recognize, even from this height. Hairballs, she was still lost. Maybe the dog knew where they were? “Perhaps if you went to town, you could do that, miyav? If you knew where town was, mjau?

Again, they were doing nothing again! Ugh, Ilex was getting frustrated the more these check-ups went on! He was all prepared for a cute baby to coo and present to Daffodil, but, nooooo, he had to come across forty-somethings acting so awkward and not impregnating eachother! He sighed and decided he had to maintain a positive outlook – sure, one of them was up a tree and acting obstinate, but he knew Todd would cooperate if he could sooth the cat! Yes, he just needed to get her down there! So, Ilex dropped a giant ball of yarn on the ground to coax her out of the tree and proceeded to cast a fat rain cloud just over their area, because what was more attractive then being soaked to the bone? People sang songs about it and everything! Ah, what else did people like? ...bubble baths? OH, yes! Bubble baths! He covered the grass and people in a thick, goopy, specially-made-by-Ilex bubble making formula! The rain would do the mixing and everyone will be slippery and totally in love~ Yes! Now, he just needed to leave them alone~! So, he poof'ed away, hoping his next find would be better.

Todd was beginning to think that the poor little kitty was never going to come down off of her tree. He dropped his hand to his side and frowned up at her. She must have sensed that he was laughing at her, although it was more of just the entire circumstance combined that had really tickled him. Sure, she was a part of that but the fact that he mistook her for a bobcat was even more to blame. "Now, now. That's not very nice. I didn't mean to frighten you, kitty. Maybe if you come back down we can try to find town together, huh?" He smiled up at her, hoping that this could coax her out of that damn tree. It was clear that they weren't getting much of anything done if all she was going to do was hide from him. They needed to be a team with his strength and her... helpfulness, they could make it out! He knew it. What he really needed to do was try to work some of his personal trainer charm on her, the kind of stuff that got everyone's blood pumping and made them feel like they could do anything! "Y'know, it's really nice down here. I even have this spear, we could go find you some fish with it. You can do it! Just slide back on down the tree. I can even catch you if you'd like." He opened out his arms to her, continuing his winning smile.

That was how the plan was going to go before there was any intervention. He was staring up at her and had entirely missed the ball of yarn being tossed to the ground. So much so that when it hit, he jumped and his face turned to an expression of shock. He didn't even have enough time to register what the item actually was before it started raining very heavily. "Oh, s**t." He looked up to the sky and tried to cover his head with his arms. He was trying to move over to get more shelter from the leaves when the bubbles had started to form. His foot hit in a perfectly lathered up spot and he started to slide. He moved his other leg quickly to try and get leverage, but only found that bubbles were already forming all around him. The next thing he knew, he was falling headfirst into a giant puddle of muddy bubbles. It was the weirdest combination of dirty and clean that he had ever felt at the same time. "Maybe you should make some room and help me up there!" He called to her after spitting out a mouthful of the strange concoction.

Riiiiight. Like Catrina really was going to fall for such an obvious ploy to get her down from her tree! She rolled her eyes at him and turned her back so she could face the way that made sense and wasn't full of overgrown, gross dogs that didn't know how to properly treat a cat. She was just observing how lovely and sunny it was when she heard a very strange sound from behind her. A sound that was especially weird because the way she was looking looked the exact opposite of what would cause the pittering and pattering behind her. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and there was absolutely no sign of - "MEROW!" She hissed and spat as suddenly a handful of drops managed to slide their way through the foliage above her head and splatter on her nose and ears. She was turned around in a second to scramble closer to the trunk of the tree and observe what shouldn't be possible. But, Catrina wasn't one to doubt what was presented to her. She wouldn't waste time on it and, instead, she adapted with the ease of the felines she was blessed to be.

She soothed her fur and wiped the water from her with a chortle at the man below, "Mjau~ You would like that, mau, wouldn't.. mau.." Her words stopped as she involuntarily purred at an all too tempting sight. Yarn. A big ball of yarn waiting for her to unravel it with her precise claws. Ah.. Ah, how could she resist?! She leaped from the tree and - well, pretty much stopped there because what was usually a graceful landing on all fours ended up being her scrabbling and howling to try to keep herself up. The floor was slippery and she had almost forgotten the rain was still there. Stupid kittenhood-impulses! She forever cursed her brothers for giving her so much yarn as a kit - if she had been raised like a natural cat, she wouldn't be so addicted to the stuff! She hissed at the bubbles multiplying around her as she awkwardly got to her feet and carefully walked to where the human was standing.

Now they were both drenched. "...You did this, mau." She accused icily as she tried to climb the tree again, but her paws were just too slippery with soap to do so successfully. She hissed in irritation and looked at him, "If you push me up, miyav, I'll help you get up next, merow~"

Lily had done two good deeds that day, even for two people who weren't even her followers and she had no obligation to help, but it was nice to do kind things, so the wind fairy made just one more stop before reaching home. Catrina was too much like a cat for Lily to feel comfortable getting too close, and she didn't know Todd at all, so Lily came to a stop a safe distance away. She conjured a carriage, all nicely trimmed with flowers, and dropped a moose in the bridle. She hung onto the back of the carriage as she willed the moose to trot forward through the forest. As they passed, she lifted Catrina and Todd into the carriage, and set the moose into a fast trot. There! The carriage would lead them out of the forest, and to safety! Phew, all this magic had made Lily exhausted, so with a sleepy yawn, she took off to the fields, looking forward to some nice, long rest.

- Todd and Catrina are free from the forest! End event! -

Remilia Nate Ironfist

With a twirl of his axe and a puff of smoke Remilia slowly walked through the forest as if he was at home. Throwing his ax upwards for one rotation of a spin grabbed the handle and sunk the head of the ax into a tree. It was not a healthy tree, nor a dead tree, but a tree that was near death. Having twigs fall from the upper reaches of the tree Remilia smiled with a large smirk across his face. "This is a good tree," saying loudly as he let a chuckle and a plume of smoke out. Smashing out the but end of his cigarette into the ground as it was near dead he smiled for a moment then yanked his axe out of the tree with a good portion of his might. With a heave of the axe a thud could start to be heard as he started to hack at the tree.
