Greetings LIH members,
Starting today, Co-Captain ButterBalls has decided to step down from his position of guild administrator for personal reasons. While he may no longer be very active in the guild, he will always be a member in spirit and will always be considered the driving force behind the creation of this guild. Without his initiative, LIH simply wouldn't exist. For his support and hard work creating the majority of the guild, I offer my sincere thanks and wish him good luck in his future endeavors.
While this is certainly a loss to the guild, we will continue to push strong and be the largest guild affiliated with the Life Issues forum. I will be taking over the responsibilities of sole Captain. You may not notice an immediate change in the guild memberlist rankings, but all administration issues should be addressed to myself. The crew list will be addressed in the very near future, as several of our crew members have become inactive. I wish to keep the spirit of a free democracy in this guild, so expect elections in the coming weeks.

I just wish to clarify: my goal is not to supercede the will of the members. The guild will always have a pro-democracy position, and as such, the scope of my duties are limited to maintaining the guild in its current form. Any significant changes must be decided upon by the members.

As part of the changes to this guild, I have appointed Laurel to Deputy Captain. ButterBalls will always hold honorary position of Vice-Captain, but all duties are now Laurel's.
On Monday, March 27th, all current council members will be officially notified that their positions will be eliminated. In place of the five council seats, there's only need for three. Therefore, a new election is in order. I will post detail tomorrow or Friday, but if you're interested in holding a seat, start thinking about submitting an application.
