Character Name: Dominik Gunther Baryshnikov

Codename: The Warmage

Age: 30

Personality: Often quiet, never talking to anyone usually keep's a lot profile to the human world, only trusts one man, his own brother Fengxian the Cold A.K.A: Mikhail, even though he trusts him and him only they share a same profile.

Alignment: Hero

Powers: Can use: Pyromancy, Conjuration, and Illusion Spells


Fire/Pyromancer Skills

Flames:

Dominik: shoot fire from one or both hands. The flame has a short range, but passes through enemies, so it's possible to hit several enemies at once. When enemies are on fire, they can take extra damage.

Firebolt:

Casting this spell causes a bolt of fire to be shot at the intended target. Unlike Flames, which sprays a jet of fire continuously, Firebolt must be charged momentarily before being fired. Dual-casting this spell creates a more powered version.

Incinerate:

This spell can be formed as the shape of a spear and be thrown like a Javelin and can be thrown up to 15 feet (max.)

Fire Cloak:

The spell surrounds Dominik in a wall of fire. If an enemy hits or gets too close to the caster that enemy is set on fire for 8 points of damage. Also if Flame Cloak is active, its damage is applied to Dominik's Sword

Fire Rune:

Casting Fire Rune causes blobs of fire to shoot from the hands and stick to surfaces. When a target steps on or passes too closely to a Fire Rune, it explodes.

Fireball:

Casting Fireball shoots a boulder sized and fast traveling ball of fire that explodes upon impact in a 15 foot radius. Fireball can set enemies on fire, resulting in additional damage over time, and if it hits an already burning enemy it deals extra damage.

Wall of Flames:

the spell is sprayed over the section Dominik wishes to "block off" Wall of Flames deals fire damage to any enemy who passes through it each second.

Conjure Flaming Familiar - these conjured followers explode when colliding with enemies, causing fire damage.

Fire Storm:

Firestorm unleashes an explosion of flames centered at the caster's location, immediately dealing high fire damage to all surrounding foes within range, Hitting closer targets harder than those further away.

Illusion (Beginning of Video)

Clairvoyance: If Dominik want's to find something, he simply uses this spell and follows to where his item is.

Muffle: This simple spell coats Dominik's feet with a cloud like substance making Dominik's movement quiet, very quiet

Rally: Targets won't flee for 10 minutes and get extra health and stamina.

Invisibility: This spell make's Dominik invisible and virtually hidden from any Mortal eye, Bound weapons/Spells/Weapons or items that he carry's by hand will not be turned invisible.


Bio:
Born to a poor family, Dominik grew up in a neighborhood where he was constantly bullied and beated, up until he was 10 year's old where he burnt a man to a crisp after he threatened to kill him and his family, Dominik has been training ever since perfecting his spell's ranging from Fire to Illusion and Conjuration, up until he found his parents and his lost brother he kept quiet not telling the parents of whom and how he was related to them.

Uzzu no Akuma


Hey~
Okay... it looks like you got a little carried away with this one. Mostly powers and some things that don't quite add up. So, I'm just going to point some things out before you start playing him, and we'll see if we can get your character cleaned up a bit.

1. Overpowered.
Your character basically has the gift of Conjuring + Fire Mastery + Necromancy + Omnipresence + Invisibility + Illusions... you get my drift. It looks like you got all the powers from a game, and they probably work alright in that game. But I can tell you they're not all gong to work here.
It's not that we don't have characters in the guild that have a long list of powers, but they're pretty much not in use right now. And... haven't really been in play for months really. The characters in the guild that do have a list of powers aren't in play very much... or they just talk to other characters. You're not going to find any characters you'll be able to interact with fighting wise with all those powers. Even in the Reboot you'll have difficulty.

I would suggest toning down the powers. Perhaps just the fire and weapons if you want to keep him as strong as he seems. The summoning and necromancy and teleporting to any location he wants is a little much. Especially considering the fact that your character is....

2. Only 20?
For all the powers you have listed, that is an extremely short period of time to learn all those abilities and be decent at using them. Especially such high level magic / powers like Omnipresence, necromancy, etc... on top of all the fire based abilities. He would have to master one ability or more a year, and that would still only be a handful of powers since you say he discovered his powers at the age of 10. That only gives him 10 years to learn all of that.

Again, I'm sure they worked in that game, but it won't work that way here. A lot of the RPers here play more realistically, and just learning a new power out of the blue won't sit over well with them.

If you want him to be really good with a number of different powers / techniques, you're going to have to up his age quite a bit. The powerful sorcerers we have in the guild are well above their 40's. Some over 5 centuries.

Again, you can tone down the list of powers, and it would be more believable for your character to be so skilled so young. It takes years to master a talent, even if you're born gifted. Another suggestion could be to make him still learning how to master his powers, or control those techniques. Trust me, you're still learning / perfecting skills you've been practicing for years when you're in your 20's. I should know.

I would say that you could have him of a different species (alien), but you definitely state that he's of a human background, so you'll have to either up his age, seriously tone down his powers, or have a lot of his magic in early beginner stages of learning.

3. Creatures and people up to level 25 won't....
… what? It sounds like you copied and pasted these powers / abilities from that game. That really doesn't apply here because no one measures their “levels” that way, and no one's going to know who that applies to or not. Keep in mind this is a super hero role play. A few good guys and bad guys... and a lot of non-powerful people. We have sorcerers and greek gods and aliens... but again, they're rarely used unless it's to further a plot. They were active at one time.. but that was when where were nothing but powerful characters in play for one specific plot. Now it's mostly smaller ongoing plots.


This is the first character you've made that I've really seen a problem with. Three out of four isn't bad though. : )
I know the RP training and help section isn't very complete, but I hope this helped explain some of the issues.

Your last character was alright because he was mostly weapon based with one “power”. With only one focus, his age was fine for being skilled with a bow. And there are child geniuses out there, so the Harvard thing was alright as well. This one you just made a bit overpowered, greatly so considering he only had 10 years to learn all of them.

Just try to tone him down and we'll work from there. Maybe try to only focus on the fire powers, and he's still learning illusions. Up his age some if you want more / better skilled.
