Slowly she pushed open the door and silently stepped into the classroom. Being new to the academy, Josephine didn't quite know where she had been going or where she was supposed to be. Being here at all still felt like a miracle and a dream all wraped up into one wonderfull feeling.

She has peeked into this room through the little window in the door, had seen all the instruments, and could not resist going inside. As she looked around to see all the instruments she softly spoke to herself, seeing as there was no one else in the classroom at this time "So many instruments, I wonder where they all came from, and what they sound like"

Each of the instruments seemed to call out to her to play, but which instrument to try first. Josephine walked around the room once to see all her options. Some of the instruments were familiar to her, she had seen them in the orchestra at the theatre. Others she had not seen before, for now she passed these up.

"I think I'll start here" she finally decided. She sat down with a cello and picked up the bow. Tenderly she drew the bow across the strings. as the first notes sounded through the room her consciousness drifted away on the music....

Completely absorbed in the music Josephine didn't notice someone entering the classroom at first. she played on with her eyes closed, following the memory of a melody only she could hear.

All to soon the memory of the song once heard in the theatre began to fade. The music though still calm and sweet started to falter, and with that Josephines eyes slowly opened.

It took a moment for the room to come back into focus, but what she saw startled Josephine. There was someone sitting in a chair looking at her.
"oh, Hello. Are you the teacher of this class?" she asked softly whilst putting the Cello bow down.

Josephine set the Cello aside for a moment, and got up slowly. She moved forward floatingly, and held out her hand for a handshake. "My name is Josephine, it is a pleasure to meet you." It was great to finally meet another student, she hoped they would get along.

She looked around the room, still otherwise empty of people. "Do you like music, do you play any of these?" she motioned around at all the instruments "I'm new and did not know where to go, so I ended up here because I love music"

Josephine was very glad at the handshake, a handshake was always a good start when getting to know someone. whilst she was still thinking that Golem started answering her question about the instruments.

She held her breath, it was amazing, all the information Golem just simply knew about the instruments. For a moment she was in awe of all the knowlage, that was until she got a bit worried. Would this be what the curriculum at this school was like?Her worries were soon forgotten again as she listened again to Golems explination of the saxophone.

When the other student stopped talking Josephine clapped her hands enthusiastically "That is amazing, you know so much! do you know all this about all the instruments here?"

Josephine listened to the tuba story delightedly, and clapped her hands again when the story was through. "I'd wish I were smart enough to know any of that, where did you learn all this?"

She remembered Golems earlier answer about not being able to play the instruments. that was a shame, knowing all about them but not being able to lure beautiful notes from any of them. "Would you like to try and play any instrument with me in exchange for all you told me?"

"250 years sounds like a very long time, you must have been able to learn a lot of things." Josephine thought back, years how many had she seen by now? She could not really remember, the further she thought back the more misty the memories became.

She looked at the instruments "Yes we could trade, that is a good plan. though I can't play everything here" *she walked around collecting up some instuments, and finally put: a Tin Whistle, the Cello, a Violin, a Djembe at the Piano "These five instruments I can play, I'm no master at them, but I can get a few little tunes out of them. What would you like to try?"

Josephine looked on as Golem made her choices from the instuments she had offered. As the Cello, Violin and Djembe got declined Josephine placed those back in their respective places before returning to the Piano.

"Those are good choices" she put the tin whistle within reach as she sat down on the piano stool "Shall we start at the piano?" she asked.
