Harbinger made certain things impossible. She refused to be separated from him. She screeched loudly at the teachers. Tipped over dye and cosmetics and preened his rat tail. Disguise ended badly. Stealth did not go much better. Harbinger decided that the obstacle course was a playground and he found himself partly playing with her. So he found it hard to keep serious.
Then the explosions happened and poison and blades and knots... and well, it was a bit better. Harbinger respected things that went boom and it was sort of neat.

Disguise was obviously not Ahmenna's strong point. Not with her coloring and her height. But tools. There was something that was familiar and she took to it like well.. A fish took to water. She missed her craft but nothing compared to having Phiroth with her. At the time of fighting, she had been unable to help but now...
Now she might make a difference.

Apparently, N'ymi was not good at disguising herself or her accent. With her round figure and no nonsense attitude, it was hard for her to stay in the background. Looking at the tools, she was at a loss. She had no idea how to use what and where to put it. Frowning, she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to help out at all.
But then, she found she was really good at sneaking around. Good enough to come up and scare people.

When she had been a runner and even moving from Weyr to Weyr, one thing Kallista did good was blend in. So when training came up, she had no problems slipping back into disguise, matching her mannerisms and talk to match whomever was around her. However, she was no longer as quick or stealthy as she had once been... Cursing, she vowed she would regain skills lost. As for the tools... Well, at least she hadn't broke anything but they were definitely not her area of expertise. Perhaps, she could help some of the others who were lacking in the disguise area.

You're sweet, Cory. She reached out and scratched the little black dragon's eyeridges fondly. But this isn't about looking good. This is about disguise.
Not that it was going very well. The temporary dye she'd tried, offered by one of the trainers to use to camouflage her noticeable blond hair, didn't take. It just looked like she was in need of a good scrubbing. And her attempts at pretending to be a sweet meek wherholder weren't going any better. Fortunately Etasha didn't have much in the way of identifying marks, but... Still. It was a little embarrassing.
Tools training didn't go much better. Knives and poisons, Etasha was comfortable with. Those were right up her alley - the kind of weapon that could give leverage to a combatant using something other than brute force. But a knot was a knot was a knot. And the explosives made her nervous even just handling them.
It was at the stealth that she really thrived. Coryxoth's black coloring was already well-suited to moving in the dark, she mused, as she stepped lightly and carefully over the gravel pathway. And his skill with between meant that he could place her exactly where she needed to be. Between the two of them, they could probably hit fast and hard and be gone before anyone even saw her... Which would hopefully make the failed disguise irrelevant.
