So I'm trying this again. I did try last year but I couldn't handle how greasy my s**t felt. I've looked around online and there is supposed to be an adjustment period of like three weeks so I'm going to try to stick with it this time. Will be rinsing my hair and maybe trying the baking soda and water/apple cider vinegar and water methods every so often as well.
I think this will be a log.
So uh, Day 1: Took a shower, no shampoo, feel gross.

Cheaper, less time in the shower, and it's supposed to be way better for your hair anyway.

Day 3: Tried the baking soda on the scalp and apple cider vinegar to rinse the ends. My scalp feels less gross now, so that's a plus. My ends, on the other hand, feel sorta gross still. It might get better once it's dried all the way.

Beginning of day 5: Trying to keep to my usual schedule of washing my hair every other day. This may be an entirely bad idea, but after drying it doesn't feel as gross. Good sign, I think.

I do the "no-poo" with baking soda and white vinegar. You have to find just the right ratio of baking soda/water and vinegar/water for your hair. It should NOT feel oily after "washing", but more like cotton. If it still feels oily afterward, use less vinegar and more baking soda. If it's too dry, use more vinegar and less baking soda.

Beginning of day 9: Starting to feel a lot better. It might help that I cut off most of my hair.

I try not to get my hair wet in the shower, that helps.
Also, I might try this too.

Day 12: Everything seems cool. Might try no baking soda tonight just to see how it goes.
