Purl was a busy little bee as she ran through the bar putting up all sorts of festive decorations. Her heels clicked along the floor and her bountiful skirt swishes and sashayed behind her as she moved. She had to make sure all the decorations were in place for the party! There was nothing more she enjoyed than a good party, especially getting everything ready for it! Cleaning up afterwards...not so much.
This week's party was Cinco de Mayo so the whole bar was decorated in a meixcan motiff. Pinatas were strung by the bar with care in the hopes that drunks wouldn't puke there. All the tables had decorative tablecloths as well as fabulous center pieces. Yes, everything was starting to look great. But she still had so much to do! How would she get it all done in time for the big party!?!? Purl tucked a stray lock of her white hair behind her ear, her crystal earing tinkling as she touched it.

Leer was a little less... Overt in his excitement. Purl had certainly infected hikm with some of her own enthusiasm, but it was mostly show in his foot tapping and his smile. Adjusting his little lime boat hat, he paused, looking to the tables, frowning at a few of them. In the party spirit- "It might be good to um-" His eyes catching sight of Purl's dancing he blushed, going back to focusing on the tabel in front of him.
"It might look nice to add some candles. But with the drunks- maybe fake ones? Like those electric tealights?" He looked back to her, red tinting his cheeks just a bit. "But that's just my opinion, I mean, you probably know much more about parties than I do."
Purl smiled as she looked over her shoulder at the red cocktail, he was such a looker in that lime hat. He was good to have around even if he didn't show his excitement as much as she did. His suggestion did make sense though. She turned to walk over and look a table, digesting his suggestion; then her face lite up and her arms wrapped around him. She pulled him close in a big squishy hug.
"That's perfect, Leer! And I can get some nice red and green glass candle holders that will match the theme!" she giggles and kissed his cheek before releasing him and running off to the supply closet to serach for said holders. They had to have some. Finally she found them and began getting them to all the tables. Once all was set she returned to Leer's side and smiled. "Any more good ideas?"

The hug had him stiffen, red filling his face and tinting his ears. It was a little more than he bargained for, (even if it was nice). The fact that he was pressed to the soft parts of her both helped and did not. He mostly just tried to ignore it and be the decent gentleman his father never taught him to be.
"White and Black as well? It- uh. Um-" The kiss was overkill, robbing him of thought while his brain tried to process the information. She was a lady. One did not refuse a kiss but... Kiss was so... indecent, (even when it wasn't). "Ah yes-" He coughed, trying to cover up his embarrassment. "We can probably offer some special drinks, but that's up to the bar. For decorations- perhaps those strings of chilies they have in markets? Could also have a sombrero for each table, a small fun little thing patrons could wear?"
Purl giggled a bit as the red drink got even redder at her kiss. Really the boy needed to get out more. Parties were all about social interaction! And sometimes spin the bottle! His suggestions all seemed good. The string lights would definately be awesome and having little somebraros at the tables would let everyone have a good laugh at each other. But right now she had one thing on her mind; MUSIC.
"Thats all good too but we need some kickin tunes to jive this place up! I've found some but not sure if they will be good enough. The little drink walked over to the audio system and stuck in a Samba music cd. She turned it on and listened for a bit before swirling around to face. "Come on, Leer! Lets see if this floor can take a good set of heel stompin!" she grinned as she walked over and started a samba.
Of course she wasn't sure if Leer knew how to dance the Samba so she made sure to give him direction of where to move his feet. After all she had to make sure the floor could take some serious dancing.

Leer would have said he got out a healthy amount. Enough to get his daily dose of vitamin B at least. Social- well he had no real defense for that. "Music?" He looked down at her, (a somewhat awkward thing to do) before nodding. "I am sure they will be fine, so long as they have that festive air, the drinks will keep the customers happy enough, even with one odd tune or two." The mixed drink jumped at the sound of music, snapping him from musing further on the decor.
Purl was dancing, and he tensed, realizing he would need to probably join her, or at least try too. A deep breath, a tip of his hat, he bowed before taking her hand, trying to follow the rhythm of the music. Hips rotating and shaking, he just had to keep his feet moving right? "Don't think a samba has much stomping as it has a sashay." Each time as he got close, his red would get a little bit deeper, but, he remained committed to finishing the dance. "You're good, do this sort of thing often?"
Purl smiled as she samba'ed around the room with Leer, admiring how quickly he caught on. Her own steps were precise and to the beat, obviously she did do this a lot. The bourbon drink had always enjoyed music to dance to, it kept her moving and moving is what she enjoyed doing. "I love to dance! Dancing brings people together and is always fun at parties. Even if you can't dance and you just move to the music it can make you feel the togetherness!"
Soon the song ended, leaving her panting a bit from their dance. She grinned and gave the red drink a wink before she curtseyed properly, "Thank you for the dance good sir. It was quite enjoyable." She giggled and walked past him, giving him a pat on the rear, "You have quite the moves." The sassy drink looked at her check list. Decorations, check. Music, check. Food......uh oh. What was she going to do about that?
"Now we need party food. Something that is light but still gives people energy," she put her hands on her hips as she thought. Her glass heel tapping on the floor. One hand came up to play with the brown beads decorating her neck.

"Together?" He asked, sounding almost amused while curious. Hips shaking in time, he came in close, smiling, the awkwardness starting to fade just a bit. "Well It certainly is testing one's personal boundaries." He didn't particularly love dancing, but to him it was more intimate, a carefully choreographed act between two people working to achieve a common goal- the creation of a beautiful visual- the perfect dance.
A light pant as they stopped, he smiled until she pat his a**, face filling with red faster than a glass of wine. "I um- er- thank you?" He touched his own butt, a bit shocked she'd done such a thing. Following after her, the talk of food had him tilt his head, limeboat hat tipping with.
"Chips and dip is obvious. Can also do fish tacos and small empanadas with sweet fillings?" Guys like meat, girls like sweets... that was how it went right? "Chili cheese poppers are always popular too." Nevermind his pun.
