Warframe is a free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter video game, developed by Digital Extremes for Microsoft Windows. Players control a member of the Tenno, ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of cryosleep to find themselves in a war with the Grineer, a race of militarized humans, and the Corpus. The Tenno use advanced armor with unique properties, called Warframes in the war against the Grineer and Corpus.

Factions:

Tenno are descendants of an ancient and mystical civilization of lost warriors from the Orokin era on Earth. Following a great war, the surviving Tenno were preserved in cryopods for centuries. The Tenno now awaken to a new war, fighting and resisting warring factions as the sole bearers of the Orokin-created Warframes, which give them powerful abilities in combat.

Grineer are a race of militarized humans motivated by fear and envy who have targeted the Tenno for extinction. They rediscovered cloning technology, and seized control of Earth through sheer numbers. The Grineer army is in bodily decay and their features are increasingly primitive as a result of continuous cloning. As such, they are forced to use technology as a crutch for their genetic deterioration. An ideology of hate and discrimination towards the Tenno continues to drive the Grineer forward in the face of inevitable dissolution.

Corpus are a dominating proto-corporation of humans that maintain and operate the trade routes of the Solar Rails. They are rarely seen by others and are better known for the robot proxies that serve them. The social structure of the Corpus is said to reflect ancient mercantile guilds from the Old Earth. Their production methods blend technology and ritual, in-part, because the ancient Orokin materials they use are inscrutable to them. They control the entire supply chain of goods that flow through the solar system and view Orokin artifacts as resource to be exploited for profit at any cost.

Infested are what appear to be humans who have been taken over by some sort of virus or parasite. The majority of Infested seem to be former Corpus Crewmen or Grineer Lancers. Most Infested do not have any significant ranged combat ability.

The Stalker is a uncommon/rare NPC that is always encountered with a level of 30-70 and can be found anywhere, from low level areas to high level areas. He is known to follow anyone, including members of your party.

His presence is made known by taunting the player with messages in the same fashion as bosses. The screen and lights also flicker for the player during these taunts. After three taunts, the stalker teleports into the mission which can be heard with a unique sound effect.

He also uses similar abilities to other warframes and carries the Braton Vandal. This enemy has shields but its amount and regeneration speed is unconfirmed. Speculations say it is a rogue Tenno. However, one of the notifications he gives the player mentions he is there for revenge, which suggests he may be an assassin. Stalker can be killed fairly easily due to a nerf in a recent update. After his HP drops below 10% he sits down and disappears in a cloud of black smoke.

Published by Digital Extremes', the ones who made the video game Dark Sector.

Warframes are the name of the exoskeletons used in the Warframe universe. They protect the wearer with regenerating shields while allowing him or her to use special abilities such as faster movement speed, higher jumping heights or control over elemental forces.

The Warframes are used to delineate "Classes/Character Roles", like many other multiplayer games. Some Warframes feature many support skills that are valuable in a team situation while other Warframes rely on skills that focus on dispatching enemies.

The Warframe I use is Loki.

Loki is a fragile but fast, manipulator Warframe. He has little in the way of direct damage abilities, instead he focuses on drawing away enemy fire, evading detection, and utilizing strategic relocation of himself, a team-mate, or enemy.

He is one of the three starter Warframes.

Abilities:

Decoy

Loki deploys a holographic copy of himself, drawing enemy fire.

Invisibility

Loki camouflages himself, becoming invisible to enemies.

Switch Teleport

Loki instantaneously switch place with a target, confusing the enemy.

Radial Disarm

Lets forth a wave of energy, disrupting the projectile weapons of enemies in range and forcing them to revert to melee combat.

Used on infestation it will greatly damage or kill infested chargers, dismember runners and leapers' arms, and stun ancients.

Literally disarming them.

The weapon in the game I want to get is the Glaive.

Glaive:

Dating back to the time of the first Tenno, the GLAIVE is a uniquely deadly weapon. This multi-bladed disk is not only effective for melee combat it can also be thrown like a boomerang to cut down enemies at a distance.

Glaive Prime:

The Glaive Prime is a deadly and beautiful weapon from the Orokin era. The blades are as effective in close quarters as they are when thrown at distant enemies.

Frost:

By channeling moisture and vapor in the surrounding environment, FROST creates formidable defenses and lethal attacks from sub-zero conditions.

Frost is a slow and heavily-armored Warframe that is able to utilize offensive and defensive skills to both his own and his team's advantage. He commands furious blizzards that pummel and freeze his enemies while providing respite and solace for his allies.

Abilities:

Freeze:

A frigid energy blast that freezes targets in their tracks.

Ice Wave:

Sends a wave of razor sharp, crystalized ice towards an enemy dealing heavy damage.

Snow Globe:

Frost deep freezes any vapor and moisture in the surrounding area to create an impenetrable sphere of protection.

Avalanche:

Summons a treacherous landslide of ice that instantly freezes and shatters all enemies in its radius.

Frost Prime:

Frost Prime has the same chilling abilities as Frost but its altered mod polarities offer different possibilities for customization. It is also rumored that this Warframe has a unique reaction to certain Orokin technology.
