Factions:
Tenno are descendants of an ancient and mystical civilization of lost warriors from the Orokin era on Earth. Following a great war, the surviving Tenno were preserved in cryopods for centuries. The Tenno now awaken to a new war, fighting and resisting warring factions as the sole bearers of the Orokin-created Warframes, which give them powerful abilities in combat.
Grineer are a race of militarized humans motivated by fear and envy who have targeted the Tenno for extinction. They rediscovered cloning technology, and seized control of Earth through sheer numbers. The Grineer army is in bodily decay and their features are increasingly primitive as a result of continuous cloning. As such, they are forced to use technology as a crutch for their genetic deterioration. An ideology of hate and discrimination towards the Tenno continues to drive the Grineer forward in the face of inevitable dissolution.
Corpus are a dominating proto-corporation of humans that maintain and operate the trade routes of the Solar Rails. They are rarely seen by others and are better known for the robot proxies that serve them. The social structure of the Corpus is said to reflect ancient mercantile guilds from the Old Earth. Their production methods blend technology and ritual, in-part, because the ancient Orokin materials they use are inscrutable to them. They control the entire supply chain of goods that flow through the solar system and view Orokin artifacts as resource to be exploited for profit at any cost.
Infested are what appear to be humans who have been taken over by some sort of virus or parasite. The majority of Infested seem to be former Corpus Crewmen or Grineer Lancers. Most Infested do not have any significant ranged combat ability.
The Stalker is a uncommon/rare NPC that is always encountered with a level of 30-70 and can be found anywhere, from low level areas to high level areas. He is known to follow anyone, including members of your party.
His presence is made known by taunting the player with messages in the same fashion as bosses. The screen and lights also flicker for the player during these taunts. After three taunts, the stalker teleports into the mission which can be heard with a unique sound effect.
He also uses similar abilities to other warframes and carries the Braton Vandal. This enemy has shields but its amount and regeneration speed is unconfirmed. Speculations say it is a rogue Tenno. However, one of the notifications he gives the player mentions he is there for revenge, which suggests he may be an assassin. Stalker can be killed fairly easily due to a nerf in a recent update. After his HP drops below 10% he sits down and disappears in a cloud of black smoke.

Warframes are the name of the exoskeletons used in the Warframe universe. They protect the wearer with regenerating shields while allowing him or her to use special abilities such as faster movement speed, higher jumping heights or control over elemental forces.
The Warframes are used to delineate "Classes/Character Roles", like many other multiplayer games. Some Warframes feature many support skills that are valuable in a team situation while other Warframes rely on skills that focus on dispatching enemies.
