- Maxus is very laid back and easy going most of the time. He has a serious streak the mostly comes out when he gets wrapped up in one of his projects. He is an excellent listener, and a great friend. He is also immensely powerful, and this shows, as people often get the feeling that Maxus is like a storm on the horizon. You know it's there, it just hasn't unleashed its fury near or on you yet.
↬ Ｎａｔｕｒａｌ Ａｂｉｌｉｔｉｅｓ
- His basics are well above the average being. He is faster, stronger, and more agile then almost any other creature. His senses are ten times sharper than normal as well. His bones are reinforced with naturally occurring carbon fiber, and his skin has the same molecular structure as a metal called durellium, enabling him to shrug off blows that would kill a lesser being outright. His wings also enable him to fly.
↬ Ｇｉｆｔｓ & Ｐｏｗｅｒｓ
- In addition to their formidable natural talents, the Guardians have one particular power that makes them truly formidable. They are able to manipulate and control the universe around them at the subatomic level, enabling them to rewrite and even nullify the laws of nature. For example, to enable himself to fly faster, Maxus could create a bubble around himself, and lower his body’s mass, reducing his weight, making it easier for his wings to propel him. Guardians also have another power that came from a mutation in their genetic make up. Some of them have the power to become what they call a "dracos sidhe". This is a lizard/dragon like creature of immense strength and resilience, even tougher than a normal Guardian.
↬ Ｗｅａｐｏｎｓ
- Maxus’ primary weapon is his customized Guardian warblade. It has a nanite infused blade that can change from the length of a longsword to a dagger and back again. It can also reform into a high-density particle burst rifle. This is a very powerful mid to long range weapon that fires tightly compressed packets of energy that can punch through an inch of steel plating with ease. When not carrying his blade, Maxus has implants set in his hands around each of his knuckles. He can reform these, causeing them to break the skin in the form of three inch spikes that give him a formidable close range strike. (Think Wolverine) If he is wearing his armor and loses his blade, his armor generates two relatively powerful energy shields around his arms, enabling him to fend off attacks, hopefully long enough to regain his blade.
↬ Ｂｉｏ
- The Guardians are a genetically engineered species of super soldiers built by the Proteans, a race of space faring nomads. Taught to fight from an early age, Maxus showed tremendous power early on. He quickly rose through the ranks of the Guardian forces, reaching the rank of Lord Marshal, which is a single rank below being appointed to the Council of Elders. Having no interest in the politics that came with being and Elder, he retired at 327, and using his pension, bought a military light destroyer that was going to be decommissioned. He refurbished it, and named it the Regent. He spent the next four centuries traveling, before he discovered Earth. Intrigued by such a diverse world, he settled here and has spent the last 260 years here, his ship hidden in the rings of Saturn. After discovering the Academy, he offered to teach the War and Strategy class, and was quickly accepted.
↬ Ｗｈｙ Ｄｉｄ Ｙｏｕｒ Ｃｈａｒａｃｔｅｒ Ｂｅｃｏｍｅ Ａ Ｔｅａｃｈｅｒ?
- After meeting with the headmaster, he was quickly offered a job as the War and Strategy teacher once it was known that he was a former Guardian general. Maxus, who loves to share his considerable knowledge and expertise, agreed, and took up tenure as one of the staff. Maxus enjoyes using a very hands on style of teaching, putting his students through scenarios from his own long history.
