he he magic magic magic..........NOT im for power
first off there are defaults to both first though the magic may be far more powerful than the actual power of the character the magic has a limit and im not a big fan of buying ether 7 million times throughout the game along with everything else. Also another down fall to magic is you can be silenced now that is a b***h alow me to say. though there are still ways out of this if you dont hae the item you rely on power at that time. but major flaws are also in power so ha. now here we go the amount of damage is lower than magic. you must break someones defense bigtime to hit big. oh and big flaw you can be counter attacked.

I'd say power, it takes only a wepon, and can kick a** just the same as magic, besides, magic is only worked well when you've leveled that character up enough so that their mp is higher. without that, you'll spend ur life's savings on ethers, something i doubt u'd want to do the whole game

I have to say, you need a lot of power. But what good is all of that power going to do you when you get into a battle with something stronger than you and you need to heal? I realize that you can have potions and what-not but if you're almost out and you have to save them until you get to the next town, you'e screwed. So you kind of need it equal, in my opinion. Hence why I always use two good fighters, and a healer! ^_^

Every magician is weak in ze beginning but when you level and build him up he becomes so fuc@*&g strong thay you cannot get 300 feets near him. And of course..if he is a Red Mage....he will cut you, slice yo, freeze you and kill you.

Some battles require a variation in strategy, so I always have a magic-user in my party. But my main focus is on brute strength. Magic can only be used so much due to MP so that's a downside.
