You, the members, are important so if you have any suggestions you would like known, feel free to post them here. I- as much as any of us- would love for this guild to thrive. If there's a guide you want to see- tell me, or a contest you want to happen- tell me. Put what you think here! Even if it's a subforum you think we should have. Your opinion means everything!

I got to thinking earlier.... [That's when trouble starts haha]

Children's books perhaps as a contest? It would be short of course. Maybe have a min/max word length. It doesn't have to be pages worth. Something you could easily sit down and read to a group of kids.

Just a thought! :3

That's a lovely idea. I will definitely hold on to it! Thank you for the suggestion!

How about a horror story contest. Just write a short horror story that would make readers afraid to sleep. Just a thought but a good one!

I thought it easier if you'd separate the poetry and prose in the Showcase department. That way one get through it better rather than have those two in one giant pile of things to be told. Just a suggestion, though.

That is a fair suggestion and I have thought about it. Perhaps when the guild has a steady flow I will do just that ^_^

That's a fun idea, but seeing as there are already three contests going, I should really wait until one of them has finished. I'd also like to use Watterpixie's idea for a children's story contest too. Perhaps I will put both ideas up in May. ^_^

TaliaDelune
thing!
don't know if you have it already or not but
a Links Sub-forum or Thread for useful literary techniques and
technical vocabulary would really help;
newbies can always look up the words and techniques
they don't know when reading criticism and not be that confused.

That is a very useful idea. I've been working out guides, and I'm glad you mentioned this one. I'll definitely add it to the top of my list.

Yes I understand what you mean, but since those are written by people on Gaia, I'm not allow to use them. I'd have no problem making my own. I already have a guide for poetic terms and devices, I could always make another for techniques when writing poetry

Would you be able to use the other links if you asked the author permission and give them the credit? .... sweatdrop
