Every few years, a sacrifice is made to ease the animosity of the Spirits who live above the clouds on an island known as The Isle. Humans and other creatures have been living under the controls of these Spirits and has grown too weak to do anything. They could do nothing but live under their limitations for years and years and years. This was because many years ago, people went to war with the Spirits. This was because they had lived in fear for too long. The Spirits were selfish ones and saw humans and others as nothing but toys and objects. They were tired of these Spirits doing as they please The Spirits were almost nearly killed but surprisingly gained the upper hand and punished the people for their rudeness and made them sacrifice every couple of years as a reminder for their uprising. What is not known is that the Spirits are not what they seem. That is until one day something change the this way of living.

Follow Gaia ToS and any forum rules. No godmodding, cybering, spamming, auto-hitting, the works. No foul language - yes, swearing is allowed, but just keep it in moderation. Don't go overboard and drop the f-bomb every single post.

Posts should be at least a paragraph, ranging from five to six or more sentences per paragraph. Each post should be chunky enough for others to respond to. Also NO FIRST PERSON RPING. First person as in : " I walked into the bar and saw my friend." No, because I just don't like it. So please roleplay in third person. Pretty posts - that means, a picture and color at the very least. You don't have to go all out and make it incredibly fancy. Just something simple so you're not staring at plain boring text all the time.
activity ;; time frames
I'm not expecting much really. Just a post or two every week is just dandy and make sure you keep up in case we go too far without you. Though usually I give out updates if needed. We all hate it when that happens though so please try to keep up. If you're going to be gone for an extended period of time or you feel like quitting, just let me know.

Sven Ruben Lieth
Name: He is sometimes called, Ven, or Lieth.
Age: 88(he suspects he's older than that - looks 26
Gender: Male
Race: Spirit
Powers: Shapeshift - Sven can change his form into a spirit-like wolf using wizardry, and has been for several years.
Minor Wizardry - Because of his little training in the art of wizardry, Sven knows minor spells: such as unlocking the locked, opening doors without touching them, and putting things to sleep upon contact, etc etc.
Weapons: Sven can use--and mostly uses--a thin long sword that resembles the Katana, but is most skilled in halberds.
Setbacks/Weaknesses: Sven cannot change into a wolf or back human if he is exhausted or does not have the energy. With his wizardry it is required of Sven to use his hands. If he cannot use his hands than his wizardry is of no use.
Personality: One of Sven's more dominant personality traits is, Mellow. He is mellow about a lot of things and towards people. Among people he tries to be fair, honest. Doing a job he tries to be as fair as possible, but if he can't, he will finish his commitments. Although he tried to keep his emotions under control and under his genuine mellow and honest attitude, he is always open to himself. Alone, he can be a little less mellow and more alive, even sentimental, about things he likes or fears.
Likes: Sven likes a number of things that involve peace, life and nature. Observing rivers, ponds and lakes and it's flow, and fish are two of his loves. He likes silence, and the quietness that follows.
Dislikes: Violence. He detests anything that involves violence and murder. He dislikes dead bodies, can't stand them, and can't stand blood. He can withstand being in it's presence, but he won't like it.
Fears: For some odd reason, Sven fears big quantities of blood, bodies, and any doll that resemble any of his physical characteristics, like hair eyes, and face. He often gets frightful nightmares and sometimes fears sleeping.
Bio: Sven doesn't remember his childhood, teenage years, and most of his adult life. Since his first recall-able memory, Sven has always had a scar at the back of his head his thick hair hides. He theorized that ghastly scar is the cause of his amnesia, but it doesn't bother him anymore knowing he may never recall those lost memories. From the other battle scars across his body, he figured in some life he lived before in the past he was a soldier. The further he tries to remember the more disjointed and jumbled his memories become. The people who took care of him during those trying times told him it was because of his head wound; said he had been stabbed at the back of the head and barely got away with his life, spending several months, even years, in bed in constant recovery in a magic induced coma meant only to go away when he could be better and conscious. Because it had never been done before, they weren't sure if he was ever going to wake up, or just keel over and die.
What they didn't anticipate was that his mind was still wounded where as his head healed, so it took five years for him to be recovered completely. After that, for the past eighty-three years--when Sven had come to recognize his talents in weaponry--he did his best in the service of his kind so as to do something his life. In that time he learned minor skills in wizardry in the process of being able to shift his form into a wolf. A wolf because he saw it as a noble creature.
Being among their ranks for so long, Sven had become a trusted member. Although he detested violence, he helped the his kin trance Jenna into doing the sacrifices in the prevention of another "war" as he had been told happened in the past. When she escaped, Sven had been among the individuals sent to get her.
Character Flaws: Since his amnesia made him forget everything, Sven tends to be very ignorant in common things, or the most painfully obvious things, though he has acquainted himself with the basics. Against all odds, Sven does have a temper, which always attempts to unleash when he hates or is frustrated with someone. Depends on the touchy subject, depends on if he can control it or not, which gets him into trouble. When fresh out of one of his bad nightmares, Sven behaves uncharacteristically, ranging from incoherence, to hate, to sadness, even violence; he thinks it's his old self's emotion.

Jenna : Aid of the Spirits
Jenna is a prisoner held captive by the spirits. She was one of their most trusted aids and the only person living among the spirits on The Isle hidden withing the clouds. Jenna later found her way to escape and fell to the world of humans and other creatures. Though the Spirits caught on pretty quick and sent their minions down to retrieved her. She was the only one capable of pulling off the ritual to sacrifice people. Although, she refuses she is forced to do it while in a trance. While falling to the world below she hopes that there will be people who will aid her in defeating the Spirits that held her captive.
Chole Freist
Chloe is Kaine's younger sister who was the chosen sacrifice after the couple of years the last person was sacrificed to the spirits. She has a very cheery attitude and is optimistic. She likes to put others before herself and help people in need. While Kaine was out she was chosen to be the new sacrifice. She took it calmly though and accepted her fate. Though Kaine on the other hand would not allow such a thing to happen.
