Lake Nakuru is found in Nakuru, a city that in Rift Valley, a province of Kenya. The lake is well known for its large population of flamingos. Also located in Kenya is Mombasa which is the second largest city in the region as is also East Africa’s oldest settlement. Here in Mombasa is where you can find Fort Jesus, an old slave port built by the Portuguese during their short occupation period.
