The sky was partly cloudy, a vast improvement from the morning. The temperature had even cooled off, just a bit, with the breeze blowing. With the sun reaching to the middle of the sky, things were bound to start warming up again soon.
Ayala had been running almost all morning, racing to get home, to her family. She'd been scared stiff this morning and was in desperate need of her big brother. The young wolfy hadn't even taken the time to shake the water from her fur before she'd taken off. The only thought on her mind was how safe being with Ranuin was. She never should have taken off on her own like that!
The female shuddered at the thought, streaking across the bridge to Laisidhiel. Something had told her her brother, or at the very least, her father, were near it. Ayala just had to see at least one of them. Between getting stuck in a well and then being rescued by a strange winged creature without hooves, she was overwhelmed. Ranuin had to hear about every bit of her adventure! Even the part where she got all wet. Yuck. The thought made her shudder again.
"Ranuiiiin!"

The day was pleasant enough, and the young Faun was taking advantage of the mild weather to spend some time in the wide open outdoors by himself, away from the rush and bustle of the Great Tree.
And totally not just taking a nap in the long grass.
The reclining, lupine Faun's ear flicked subconsciously, one eye opening groggily at the sound of his name. "...wha'...?" Yawning, pointed canines flashing for a moment, the teen stretched, then sat up and looked around. Who was calling...? He yawned a second time, then shook out his fur. Wait...
Ayala?
He climbed upright, emerging from the tall grass in time to spot a familiar, grey blur. Grinning, he bounced on his paw pads a moment, then took off in a dash to intercept her path. "Hey! 'Yala! What's the hurry?" He looked her up and down, then frowned. "Why're you all wet?"

Ayala whimpered, freezing when her brother caught her. Finally, she realized she was still soaked. The femme shook herself, squeezing her eyes shut tight.
"I fell down a hole!" She exclaimed, shivering. It was a cold well. "Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!" Ayala bounced, much happier to be free of the nasty water. Bleh, she hated that stuff. "I met a weird person too!"
