[Fire Release] [E-Rank] • Weapon Coating Using chakra, the user will coat the outer layer of a weapon, such as a kunai or shuriken with fire. This is performed by coating the item with chakra, then throwing the projectile, and quickly setting it ablaze via a small fire from the user's mouth. This flame is not terribly hot but can cause first degree burns as well as ignite other objects.
• Flash Flare This technique can be described as a distraction technique. After performing the necessary seals, the user will clap their hands in front of them. Then, a flash of white flames erupts from their hands, which can blind people who are close. This technique can blind an opponent for 1 post, and then they gain their vision once more. Used correctly, this can lead up to a killing attack, or used to make a hasty getaway.
• Cinder This technique is the first technique that actually allows the user to set most things on fire. All they need to do is focus their chakra and snap their fingers, creating the friction necessary, This will send a spark wherever they wish. Once the snapping is done, a flame nothing bigger than a cinder is created.

[D-Rank] • Flame-Resistance - Passive Flame Resistance isn't something that can actually be learned. This is a passive technique, that the user gains over time. It is one of two techniques that help the user from causing themselves damage with their own fire techniques. Upon gaining this technique, the user has dealt with enough Katon jutsu to be comfortable with the growing heat, and is able to withstand certain techniques. Having this ability does not make one invulnerable to fire, just able to handle it better.
• Ember Clone At this level, the clone is quite weak and can only really serve as a distracted more so than a viable combat replacement. However, it does have its uses, which alongside detonating upon destruction or on command, are numerous. Note: The clone only has 1/10 the ability of the original user.
• Mythical Fire Flower The user will focus their chakra towards their mouth in the form of heat to begin the technique. After taking in a deep breath, they will expel it at once, shooting multiple blasts of fire outward. Shurikens are then thrown towards the flame balls, to be hidden inside of them, which creates the element of surprise.

[C-Rank] • Powerful Fireball This is possibly the face of Katon Techniques. After performing the necessary handseals, the user must inhale deeply. Upon exhaling, they will release a large, and extremely powerful fireball. This jutsu is denser in mass than other fire releasesa, which explains its explosive nature and damage capabilities.
• Dragon Fire This technique sends a stream of fire towards whatever direction the user is facing, spewing from the mouth. It resembles a snake-like dragon, hence the name. This technique can be considered a flamethrower, and prolonged exposure to it can alter the shape of boulders, turning them to piles of magma. This technique can be held for more posts for 2 chakra points per post.
• Fire Bed This technique can be used offensively or defensively, and has many uses. The user must take in a deep breath after activating the necessary handseals, and will spit out an oily liquid in a direction of their choosing. It can be around them, or in front of them, behind them, as long as it is on the ground. It will rush forth, and then ignite at the users commands. This will result in a carpet of flames, obviously able to scald and burn people. • Pulse Blast This jutsu has the effect of attacking or separating multiple opponents. The user creates a fireball about the size of a basketball, and hurls it at their opponent. It is actually meant to be dodged, which allows the fireball to reach its maximum. The center of the fireball is an extremely gaseous core, and when the attack makes contact with something, it will explode and the gas will expand rapidly loud bang. The bang is like a warning shot, with little reaction time to the actual effect of the technique. Instantly after the bang, a sharp concussive force will issue from every point around the center of the blast The explosion itself is not very strong, though the force that is issued is enough to send anyone who is within a 6ft radius of it to go flying.
• Flame Sphere Unlike most Katon techniques, this acts as a defensive jutsu. The user draws upon their own body heat, amplifying it with chakra. They continue to do so, and make their body heat mixed with chakra visible, and eventually creating a red sphere around them. This is a shield which guards against both ninjutsu and taijutsu, though it can only block about 1 attack its rank before dissipating. A few drawbacks to this technique is that the user must remain still, and if they perform this when they are fatigued, they risk fainting due to drastic changes in body temperature.

[B-Rank] • Fireproof - Passive At this time, the user has developed a natural resistance to flames and knows how to properly use their Katon techniques with as little damage to themselves as possible. This passive technique helps them guard against fire and high temperatures. Simply with a constant expelling of chakra, it acts as a buffer against all forms of heat, preventing harm from touching the user. Not only are they able to protect themselves, they can place this chakra buffer onto another person, though they must be touching. [1/2 Rank in resistances against Fire techniques]
• Incendiary The user coughs out globs of a silvery oil-like substance. These globs are highly flammable, and can be scattered around an area or even other people for maximum effect. Even the tiniest spark can light these aflame and set of explosions, based on the level of the shinobi. Chuunin can create explosions to a 5m radius. Jounin are capable of a 10m radius explosion.
• Aerial Explosion This can be considered the sister technique of the Bed of Flames jutsu. Instead of a ground-based attack, it is based in the air. The user, after the necessary handseals, will release an odorless gas into the air. This gas can be ignited with even the smallest spark, and will do so rapidly. After igniting, the gas will expand and create strong winds in all directions. It can extend to a range of 20ft. Anyone caught in the range of the jutsu can be seriously injured with at least 1st degree burns. On top of causing burns, it can also evaporate all water of its rank or lower in its range.
• Burning Rush - Nin/Tai This is a two part technique. A red sphere will envelope the user, but instead of staying like that, it will shoot back, almost as if attacking the user. The flames will wrap around the user's arms and shoulders, adding defensive and offensive capabilities. The second half of the technique is that the user is able to move at a slightly increases speed, adding to the danger of this tech. [1/2 Rank in speed, breaks limits]
• Incinerating Hail Performing the handseals, the user must focus their chakra to their hands. They will then lift them to the sky, and create a bombardment of small fireballs, which fall down all around them. These fireballs are strong enough to heavily burn anything they touch, though they are about half the size of one's closed fist. The fireballs have no solid state, and can only cause damage by burning stuff.

[A-Rank] • Hydra This is the next step of the Katon: Ryuuka no jutsu. This time, instead of one flame jet, it is three. The user still must inhale deeply, and upon exhalation, they release three streams of fire at the same time. The flames are generally shooting forward, though a bit off to the left and right on either side. The fire streams resemble three snakes, hence the name of the jutsu.
• Longsword - Nin/Tai Another technique performed similarly to the Katon: Kyuuka, the user instead focused all heat in their vicinity onto their skin. Then, by molding chakra, they are able to refine the fire into a fine blade upon their dominant arm. It has the power to incinerate anything it touches, and shoots out from the arm, remaining for but a few moments.
• Blazing Column This technique can clear forestry when used correctly. The user performs the necessary hand seals, and creates a circular burning tower by breathing out a large fireball at first. Then, the person is able to guide the technique with their chakra. The column of fire ranges from 4-5m in height and possesses a radius of 2m. Via chakra, the user can create a path in which the column will follow, though it is only in a single general direction. The tower of fire lasts up to 2 posts before dying out.
• Shatter Force The user starts this technique off by putting their hands together, and condensing flames until it is impossible to go any further. When they open their hands, they will have created a glowing sphere of flames, which can give off the appearance of being a projectile. Instead, whenever the user wishes, they will thrust the ball into the ground. Upon impact, the orb will explode with the energy of pure heat behind it. The user of course is unaffected, it's the ones in a 5 meter radius that need to worry about it. The victims will suffer from 1st degree burns, as well as taking a large concussive force to their body. This can cause headaches and blurry vision for sometime. Shatter Force has been seen to crush boulders.
• Flame Fist - Nin/Tai The user will envelope one of their hands in an intense flame, and proceed to punch something. Upon impact, they will quickly transfer all the heat into the object, or person, causing an intense explosion. This can cause obvious damage, such as 2nd degree burns and the blunt damage from the explosion itself. There are, however, a few drawbacks to this technique. Since the user is so close to the explosion, they have a high risk of damaging themselves. Even for the most elite ninja, using this technique more than twice in a day will shatter the bones of their arm from the sheer force of the technique.
• Fire Dragon Blast Incase the name didn't give it away, after the necessary handseals, the user will breath out a large stream of fire. This stream happens to be in the shape of a dragon. Not only is it a magnificent sight, the flames are strong enough to turn rock into molten lava. And to add bang to its buck, the technique ends in a large explosion.
• Fire Lily This technique can be considered the big brother of the Housenka technique, though is much more deadly. The user will begin by of course performing seals, and then breathing in deeply, pushing their lungs to impossible sizes. They will the exhale, expelling rather large fireballs at fast speeds. The fireballs sizes can be compared to the Powerful Fireball technique.
• Hellfire Clap - Nin/Tai This technique captures the deadliness of the Katon techniques, and possess such catastrophic might. The user performs seals most similar to any other katon, but then slams their hands together at the end. Upon clapping, a wave of utter destruction shoots forth from the user, spreading out all around them. The reach of this technique is 15 meters, and has the tendency to cut through anything it comes in contact with. Any defensive techniques this rank and lower are instantly nullified when this jutsu hits them, though the tech itself does not travel past the defense.
• Piercing Hellstrike Instead of using one hand, the user will use two and turn a Housenka into a thin and compressed spear of heat and flame. The user grabs the spear from out of their mouth, and hurdles it at their target. The spear moves very fast, and has great piercing and impaling capabilities. Any water within 2ft of this will evaporate. Even if the enemy is not hit with this, if it gets close, it can cause loss of breath, 2nd degree burns, and dehydration. • Burning Clone The Burning Clone is an upgraded version of the Ember Clone. These clones take on the physical appearance of the user but hold 1/2 of their ability. They can even shoot two techniques that the user knows up to A-Rank techniques. Upon exploding the Burning clones unleash a powerful and very hot incinerating flames will shoot out for up to 2 feet. These flames are hot enough to evaporate water up to its rank and cause 3rd degree burns.

[S-Rank] • Fierce Flame Fist - Nin/Tai This is the big brother of the Flame Fist technique, taking it to a whole new level. This is where the user can be considered a master of Katon. Instead of a little flame enveloping the user's hand, it engulfs their entire body, giving a rather demonic look to them. Now, the flames are much hotter, able to cause 3rd degree burns. Not only that, but the explosion it creates is so much more powerful. The user performs this technique by first the seals, then engulfing their body in flames, and then rapidly transferring all the heat from them to their target. Much like the Flame Fist, it will explode, but this time the explosion is so powerful, it will char and kill. Of course, this presents a great danger to the user as well. Using this more than once in a battle will result in shattered bones. Not only that, this is usually used as a last go, since it takes up alot of chakra and leaves the user exhausted for 3 posts afterward.
• True Hydra A very deadly and powerful technique. It is almost as if the user summons multiple fire dragons, which are quite large, and obviously dangerous. The user is able to create not 1, but 3 dragons and shoot them out at 3 different targets. These are so hot, they can evaporate water, and cause 3rd degree burns.
• Fire Transport This may seem like a simple getaway technique, though it is not. It is very much offensive, and deadly. Upon activating the seals, the user takes on the actual form of flames, and can travel about like that. In their wake, they leave a trail of fire, which can cause 3rd degree burns, dehydrate, and evaporate waters. This can be used to encircle an enemy in flames, or even straight up attack them.
• Raging Storm of the Dragon This move is as much offensive as it is defensive. The user must store chakra in their body for 1 post, and then they will hunch over dramatically. Upon releasing, they will straighten up, and release a hellish fire column all about them for 15 meters on all sides. This flame is so hot, it instantly ignites anything, and can incinerate a crap load of things. The flames take different colors due to the chakra flow laced in it, changing from blue, green, purple, red, orange, white, etc. Not only does it possess the ability to give bad 3rd degree burns, it is able to send people flying backwards, due to the load of chakra it takes.
• Pandemonium A technique that few have ever seen and lived to tell about. It causes so much destruction, allies and enemies alike have been harmed. Their are requirements for this technique, such as an already hot environment. There must be many areas already lit in flames to supply the energy needed for this technique. The user will then absorb the heat, creating spheres of raw heat from the sources of fire. These are mentally controlled, and are usually made to surround an opponent at seriously high speeds. Once the spheres get close enough, they cause a few things to happen. The sudden increase in heat will cause dehydration, and fast. This evaporates water near it as well. The deadliest part of this technique is what it does to the physical body. Since the pressure is increased as well, the poor soul who is caught in the middle of this actually explodes from the pressure and heat. This technique can also be used to slowly kill an opponent, such as using the spheres to disable limbs and such.
