“Just bruised!” he said and was fairly sure that was the case. “How are you though? I’m not as good at hitting but, I know I made contact.” He said with an apologetic tone.
“I may be quick, but you have endurance, and strength. You’re devoted better than I am, but you make me want to get better too. It’s a great quality to have…to make people want to do better.” He said earnestly.

Talfrid nodded, looking relieved, though he knew he had gone a little too far for that. He was glad Bran wasn't the type to hold a grudge, though, and instead just wanted to move past it.
"Ah, it is fine. You hit me rather squarely, actually, so I think you are getting better than you might be aware. Fighting is more about instincts, not just planning. You are analytical, but you have good instincts, as well." He nodded at that, as if agreeing with himself.
Or just confirming his thought with a nod.
"Anyway, it might be time to go and relax a bit. I am glad you are so keen on training and growing stronger. I think we are both benefiting from all this, despite ah... today and the small blip."
He would be glad to go and relax a bit. Maybe read a bit. He needed to get better at that, to read the kind of books that Fiona liked.
