As a new day dawned it found Hekate waiting near where the Dolphineers had chosen to set up. The woman stood staunchly on the sands looking the picture of confidence and determination even as her still rather sleepy silver lounged on the beach behind her eyeing the water with interest.

I really don't care for mornings. Devith drawled with a yawn. Why we are here so early again Mine? He asked stretching like a large shining cat even as he furled his wings making a rather impressive display of himself while he was at it before settling back down.

While most of the Weyr may be content to overlook the Dolphineers the truth of the matter is that they are critical to the workings of this whole organization. I don't feel its right that so much of their hard work is over looked and I want to offer them a better lot then they currently have if I become a District Head. Hekate explained reaching a hand up to scratch her sleepy silver's eyeridges drawing a croon from her lifemate even as Devith let out a snort his eyes whirling with mirth.

I understand why we're here Mine. What I don't understand is why we must be here at the crack of dawn. Devith replied his regal tone rich with amusement at his rider's expense drawing a slight flush from the young woman.

It's hardly the crack of dawn you lazy thing! Sides I heard Dolphineers rise early and I wanted to meet them on their own terms. It's only polite after all. She explained shaking her head at her silvers antics.

I'll have you know that while I am naturally stunningly handsome even I need my rest to keep up such a regal appearance. Devith rumbled his big whirling eyes scanning for any signs of said Dolphineers his rider was so eagerly searching for.

Green Tease would all, but get a flurry of greetings from Hekate's own swarm of firelizards all peering down from where they'd perched themselves on the Dolphineering hall roof to eye the other flit and her owner as she stepped outside. Well all except Prince who was content to stay asleep wrapped about his owners shoulders and neck like a big shining gorget.

Perking up at the sound of door hinges Devith swung his mighty silver head around eyeing the newcomer and letting out a low rumble of greetting his chest practically thrumming with pleasure alerting his rider to their sudden company.

"Ah good morning. Sorry to have awoken you." Hekate began glancing up at her chittering flock and making a hand motion at them as the fair's rapid chirps and burbles quieted to a more manageable murmurer. "I'm trying to speak to as many Dolphineers as I can you see." She added with a warm smile nodding her head in a slightly more respectable greeting now that she'd managed to quiet her swarm. "My name is Hekate. Rider of Silver Devith."
