The moment he had put himself between Nikki and the Vampire, it had felt right. When he felt hands pull into his shirt and Nikki’s forehead press into his back, the hand that was not being extended to his master was wrapped around the incubus’ shoulders, gently handling his little shoulder as a sign of comfort. Mateo wasn’t going to let anyone hurt this little blue boy who had so freely decided to try and save Mateo, even when he pushed everyone away. Now was not the time for sarcasm either, but rather, the time to protect the little incubus form any sort of wrath that came his way. It was strange, as he’d never thought the vampire would lose his cool in front of this little blue boy that seemed to be a saving grace for the both of them. At least, he hadn’t expected Azazel to lose his cool so soon. He watched the blonde man, curled as he was, waiting to see if there would be a lashing, or if the man would simply take his hand and stand up. After a moment, the blonde male finally moved, uncurling his tense limbs from his body with exaggerated slowness, as if to prove that no harm would come from him and his movements. Mateo kept his hand outstretched for the strange man, all the while keeping an arm firmly around Nikki. If he needed to, he would push the little incubus away and jump on their Master. He hoped desperately that he wouldn’t need to do such, as he wasn’t sure if he would be able to restrain himself. The chaos within him loved fights and violence and rose from it’s shadowy depths to strike him hard when he was involved in them. He couldn’t have that, or Nikki would have no one to feel safe with.

When the cold skin brushed his own, Mateo grasped at it perhaps a little more roughly than usual. The surprise of temperature caused the harsher grip, but he tenderly pulled the man up, dropping his hold on Nikki momentarily so he could use his other hand to help the man from the floor. Mateo looked over the man and frowned. His chaos told him to hate this man. To be ruthless because to this man, the ram was nothing more than a piece of property, but he couldn’t do it. The ram simply saw that this man was harboring something. He didn’t know how to explain it, but perhaps it was a breakthrough of his power when he had roamed the fields of heaven. He continued gazing at the vampire until he felt the weight of him lean upon him. Mateo was quick and caught the man, holding him gently, and wrapped his arms around the man’s chest. The ram simply couldn’t turn his back on this blond right now. Not when he seemed so frail and upset. When Azazel told him the couch, Mateo made his way towards it, but stopped to tilt his head up, looking into his eyes with a blank gaze. His master needed to eat, but right now, in front of the little incubus? No. Golden eyes flashed at the vampire, revealing an understanding and an acceptance before placing his Master on the couch. He didn’t want to become food, and part of him feared the idea, but there were two halves of him warring right now, and the side without chaos was seeing only what he should be doing, and not what he would normally do as a member of this earth. Now, he needed to help someone. That was his job, and this man would be the one he helped.

When Azazel was on the couch, Mateo watched him, seeing the gesture for him to sit. For a moment he thought to keep standing, but eventually sat down a few cushions away, keeping poised on the edge of the couch to watch the vampire, but still be away from him. He didn’t want to snuggle with this vampire. Not yet. Maybe not ever. Yet, Mateo wanted someone to hold, though he would never admit it. He pushed people away to keep them from catching his taint, but he wanted someone to hold and to care about him, even though he was a rather unbearable person. He needed that interaction, but he couldn’t and wouldn’t just ask for it. He didn’t feel worthy enough to have it. He would only taint and hurt those that tried to help him. And yet, he wanted it so badly. Instead of contemplating the idea further, he looked at the Vampire, listening to his words, his golden gaze lingering to Nikki to make sure the little incubus felt comfortable. If he didn’t want to sit by the vampire, that was his own choice, but Mateo knew it would probably offend the vampire, who seemed to desperately need Nikki at the moment. It was funny how the world seemed to turn out strange connections like that, but who was he to judge? And the vampire had apologized. And what needed to be said was apparently very important, so the little incubus needed to be somewhere he could pay attention completely, rather than fear that he would be unsafe. Gold eyes found the one’s belonging to the little incubus, almost in a question, wondering if Nikki was ready to sit down next to his Master once more and extend that trust.

When the Vampire began speaking, Mateo frowned. He didn’t look at them. He turned his gaze downwards, looking almost like a kicked dog. The way he spoke about his brother made it very clear the two were not on good terms. The things he said made it almost as if Azazel feared his brother, but the ram made no snarky retort. Instead, he kept the words that burned on his tongue locked inside, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath to push down the snarky chaos that wanted to spew from his mouth and hit like daggers. When Azazel reached the point of stating what his brother would use them for, the ram snorted in outrage. He would not be subject to whims of any man. Except he already was. But that was different. No one knew would take away his freedom. And no one would touch Nikki, unless it was Azazel, and even then, the ram wasn’t sure how he felt about sharing, but it was clear the vampire would fight him tooth and nail for the little incubus. Ultimately it would be Nikki’s decision and the ram would mind his manners, but hearing Nikki referred to as a pet made the ram’s heart clench, he lowered his head as if ready to charge a wall with his horns and scoffed instead, turning his head to the side, unable to look at either Azazel or Nikki. He’d burst out his thoughts if he saw their faces. He couldn’t help himself. The thoughts were so absurd and he wouldn’t let anyone hurt these two people that seemed to care for him as he was now. And especially Nikki, who he was becoming quite attached to. He simply couldn’t bear it.

When Azazel asked them to promise that they would not engage with any strange people on the property, Mateo simply nodded, not trusting himself to speak. He stood, far too restless to remain seated any longer. And it was not long after that Azazel pulled himself away from Nikki and left the room. Mateo looked to the incubus, venturing near him, and tentatively reaching out a hand to pat the boy’s head. He looked in the direction Azazel had traveled and thought to follow him. With a frown he looked back to Nikki. If Mateo told him to stay would he? That would be leaving the boy alone in the house, when they had just been warned someone might be coming, but Mateo couldn’t help it. He didn’t want Nikki to hear what he would discuss with Azazel. He looked to the incubus and frowned, looking conflicted. ”Stay..? I’ll… be back.. just wait for me…” He made it quick, bee lining down to the kitchen and found Azazel, fixing him with golden eyes and a defensive posture; arms over his chest, upright standing. He looked over the vampire and the discarded bag. ”How long will that actually sate you? It’s not good enough to last all that long is it?” The words were harsh, filled with brimming sarcasm and snark but it wasn’t intentional. It was just how they came out. He didn’t want to seem desperate in his offer, but he wondered if Azazel would put together the pieces and read between the lines of what he was saying. He couldn’t help it if he didn’t, but Mateo couldn’t simply come out and say it. Everything had to be cryptic and encoded. It was how he kept himself safe from harm. He only hoped the Vampire was fast, because he strongly doubted that Nikki would stay put as Mateo had asked. And the ram didn’t want the incubus to see Azazel feast upon his neck if it came to that.

Nikki held onto Mateo until the ram had to let go of him to help Azazel, leaving the little incubus to watch as Azazel finally got up. The boy stood still and shifted his weight, not sure if he could really help. He just watched as Azazel, worried thoughts swarming his mind until he finally snapped out of his confused haze when his master motioned for him. Nikki hesitated towards his master but slowly became more confident when he realized his master actually wanted him here. He was tiny compared to the two men so he couldn't help Azazel up or stop him if he got angry, so he felt a little spark of happiness at the thought of being needed. The boy padded over to Azazel, a soft gasp fleeing his lips when he was pulled down. He was just as surprised at the apology and kiss to the head. It was unusual. But Nikki decided to take advantage of the comfortable embrace and wrapped his arms around Azazel with his usual bright grin.
"It's okay," Nikki chimed in reply. He nuzzled his master's chest and snuggled close in attempt to comfort the vampire. It also helped Nikki feel better after being startled by Azazel. His eyebrows were knit with concern once again when the man looked down in distress. Nikki cocked his head to the side, trying to see the vampire's face.

The incubus listened to Azazel explain himself instead, going back to snuggling against Azazel's side. He didn't quite understand what was so bad about the family member visiting, until Azazel explained what would happen to him and Mateo. The boy tensed at Azazel's side and buried his face against the man, sure Azazel meant what Nikki thought he did. The last thing Nikki wanted as to be used as some pet. He had gotten away from so many men who had wanted him to be their "pet" so if this man Azazel spoke of was as bad as he sounded Nikki didn't want to meet him. Not at all. Simply thinking of being forced to act affectionately for someone and let that same person touch him made Nikki feel dirty. If Nikki saw anyone as Azazel had explained, he was surely run to Mateo or his master. He liked to believe that he could take care of himself but the fact that Nikki constantly found himself in the salve shop every time he tried to run from masters showed that he would be an easy catch for whatever predator. The boy shuddered, listening and hiding against Azazel's side until the thump of the vampire's fist against the couch startled him. Nikki unwrapped himself from his master and let Azazel go. Bright blue eyes watched as he left, wondering if he should help... Or if Nikki would be any help. Nikki wasn't going to be able to support his master's weight though. Regardless, he stood, watching Azazel with worry in his eyes. Nikki felt extremely useless. He just wanted to comfort his owner, at least.

The incubus shifted his weight uncertainly before he went to Mateo's side and took his hand, seeming like he needed a tiny but of comfort himself.
"I think we'll be okay!" Nikki chimed, seeming like he was talking to himself just as much as he was Mateo. "I'm tough so I'll make sure no one hurts you," Nikki added, grinning up at Mateo. Despite being nearly half their sides, Nikki really seemed determined to carry out his words. Just a moment ago Mateo had been protecting Nikki and now Nikki wanted to return the favor. He gave Mateo's hand a soft squeeze and then looked out the door. He was about to suggest they both go down and find their master. But instead, Mateo told him to stay and wait for him. A pout was making it's way to Nikki's lips but he stopped it in it's tracks and nodded instead. The incubus understood. Mateo was worried about him. Nikki plopped himself down on the couch and offered Mateo one of his cheeky grins.

Once Mateo had left the room, Nikki sighed and flopped over on the couch, hugging a pillow against his chest.
"Jinjja?!" he huffed, wondering when he would be able to offer more help to the other two men. He rolled over onto his stomach and kicked his feet into the air, being the type of person who couldn't keep still. He stayed on the couch for a good five minutes and then began to get restless. Nikki wanted to go downstairs and help Azazel and Mateo too! Not to mention, he was getting hungry. But at the same time he wanted to be good and stay put for Mateo. With one more heavy huff, the boy plopped his face down onto the couch as well, waiting for his friend and master to return.

Looking broody and moody was something that Azazel had perfected over the years. It was something he could do unconsciously, and at the same time, on purpose. He didn't really want to be questioned about how he'd just acted, but Azazel knew they'd eventually want an explanation. Not just the simple one he'd given in hopes it would tide them over. Feeling better after his little feed - the one bag would be enough for the moment - he sighed deeply and rubbed his temples. He could smell the approach of one of his boys, and as determined footsteps drew closer, Azazel could tell it was Mateo. He was mildly surprised by this, he thought Nikki would have come along first, seeing as he was much more open and definitely more affectionate. So that must mean that Mateo had another reason to seek him out first, a motive maybe? Returning to his stoic look by the time Mateo entered, the ice blue eyes staring nowhere in particular. The sarcasm, the harsh tones in the Angelic Ram's voice, they had not been intentional. Was it the taint he carried, making him sound harsher and more heartless than he really was? Shutting his eyes slowly, Azazel didn't need to think hard to see what the Ram was hinting at. Unfortunately, the offer was futile.

"Until I serve dinner, да." Nodding as he answered to show he meant yes - not like it was hard to guess with the 'a' sound - Azazel slowly turned his head to meet Mateo's defensive posture and piercing golden gaze. If the Ram wasn't tainted he might have been tempted to tease the Ram a little, but he wasn't that cruel. He'd bide his time; with both of them. "You need not offer to me, Mateo. Your blood, males blood.. It does not interest me." His Russian accent while thick, his words were still easy to understand. He spoke calmly, precisely, like he'd had to explain this before. "Women.. They have a... Sveeter taste. Their age, lifestyle, sexual maturity, it does not matter. I have preferred ze taste of females long before I laid vid a man. I vill never drink from you, or Nikki, so don't get ze idea into your head zat you two vill be food for me. I am not that barbaric." Waving a hand to dismiss that part of the conversation, Azazel straightened himself up, stretched out his back and donned a much more relaxed expression on his face.

"If you taint grows too strong, and I see a change in you.. Zen, and only zen... Vill I drink from you. If only to protect Nikki from you, and to protect you from yourself." Whether or not Mateo agreed or disagreed was no care of the vampire; what he said in his house was law, depending on the boys knowing that. Turning away from Mateo, he headed to the fridge, opening the doors to see what he could serve up for a meal. Again, that line of the conversation was over. "Ve vill be having soup for dinner. A hot, warming meal vill be good for Nikki. Go fetch bluebell... Please. It vill not take long to make." Usually Azazel didn't care about what his guests ate, or did, but since he was to live with these boys for a while, the vampire figured it would be best to at least attempt to give a damn. Not to mention the imminent threat of Gadriel, it was in his best interests to prove to the boys early enough that he was the best - and safest - option for the boys. As hard as it was for Azazel to play this caring Master act, it was best in the long run.

The soup was - in all honesty - the laziest meal Azazel could have picked from his fridge. As a man that often had guests that were not of the blood drinking variety, and ones that tended to stay more than a night but less than a week, he had to have meals that were quick and easy to prepare. In fact, the entirety of the vampires fridge was full of containers of pre-cooked foods, reheatable stocks and roast meats. The less work, the better; Azazel was incredibly lazy. Boiling a kettle while he found some chicken stock (of course the container of stock was at the back), he poured the litre container straight into a soup pot. Turning the stove on high so it would boil quickly, Azazel pulled out some more containers out the freezer and sauce bottles from the fridge door. From the pantry a packet of ramen noodles was produced and that's where the boiling water would come in handy. It didn't take long for the stock to come to a boil, and in went some frozen, par-cooked pak-choy. Pre-sliced chillies, ginger and onion followed, and shakes of a few spices. The soup was ready by the time Mateo returned with Nikki, and Azazel grabbed three bowls. Slow cooked pulled pork was placed in the bottom of the bowls, along with some bean sprouts and the cooked ramen noodles.

Vietnamese Pork Soup was perhaps Azazel's most made meal. Everything could be bought, and the pak choy was easy to pre-cook and freeze. Plus it was a lot easier to get away with pouring an entire blood sack into soup. Unfortunately this often meant the blood would congeal almost all the time, but it was still better than pouring it over a steak or a pork chop. Pointing to the dining table not far from the kitchen area, it was clear what Azazel was getting at. Wordlessly he gathered up some asian styled soup spoons, chopsticks, and forks and placed them on the table. The boys could grab whichever eating implement they wanted, it didn't bother him. Two bowls were served to Nikki and Mateo, and the vampire went back for his own. He was considerate enough to mix in his extra ingredient away from the boys, and bought over a jug of lemon water with two glasses - Azazel had red wine for himself. Sitting down wordlessly, his ice blue eyes looked up to his boys. Gadriel was not going to take them away from him. No way. They were his.

"наслаждаться. Enjoy." And that was that, the vampire stirred his soup with some chopsticks and waited to see what the other two thought of the meal before touching his own. The next question was; what the hell would they do tonight? He knew what he was going to do when the boys went to sleep, but until then... Being entertaining was such hard work.

ooc;; woo! A post! If either one of you have a suggestion for what to do after they eat, we'll chat it out in the ooc :3
I don't mind jumping forward a day, making Azazel drag the boys out of bed (yes they'll get a bedtime haha) and going clothes shopping before midday ehehe ;3

Nikki laid on the couch a while longer, lifting his head when he smelled food coming from downstairs. His stomach growled and he patted as if to tell it to be quiet. He stood and glanced out the room, wondering if it was okay to go down yet... But Mateo had said to stay in the room. Nikki huffed and looked around for signs of Mateo, jumping slightly when he caught sight of the other male. He smiled and hurried out to Mateo's side, taking the ram's hand right away.

"I stayed like you told me to, Nikki said proudly, giving a soft laugh. "I can smell food... Is it time to eat?" he asked, glancing up at Mateo. He didn't wait for an answer before he started to lead them downstairs towards the smell of the food. Nikki recognized the smell of pho and hummed appreciatively. Azazel must have been cooking. It seemed the old vampire was good for something other than giving attention and bring angry, after all!

When they arrived in the kitchen, Nikki smiled at the sight of Azazel setting their meal on the table. He lead Mateo to the table and seated himself next to the ram, swinging his legs excitedly as the food was served to them.
"Kamsahamnida~!" Nikki purred as he grabbed a spoon and a pair of chop sticks before he paused and looked embarrassed. "I mean... Thank you," the incubus added, giving a shy laugh. He'd been so excited for some food that smelled good for once that he'd forgetting exactly which language to speak.

Nikki dug into his meal. At first he gasped and waved his hands at his mouth, having forgotten to check if the meal was hot before eating. The boy took a sip of his water then stuck it out for a moment so it could cool. Apparently eating his food before it cooled was a bad habit of Nikki's because he continued on like it was no big deal. He blew on the soup this time before he continued to eat, moaning happily at the taste of the pho. The boy glanced up and noticed Azazel's blue eyes staring at him and Mateo.
"It's good, Master," he chimed, thinking that Azazel had been looking for reassurance. At the slave shop the food had been decent and even if Azazel's meal was last minute and lazy, it still tasted great to the boy.

"After we eat what should we do?" Nikki asked, glancing between Mateo and Azazel. "Should we watch a movie... Or swim?," he suggested, remembering the house's pool. Nikki wanted to do something fun with his master and Mateo.

Mateo had been certain that Nikki would refuse to stay as he’d asked, but surprisingly the little incubus had done as the ram had asked. It was rather nice that Mateo didn’t have to break into any sort of coercing, and that the little incubus simply listened. The ram passed a soft smile over his shoulder on his way out and headed down to the kitchen, the taint within him drawing him closer and closer to the vampire. Then, it had taken courage, but Mateo had offered himself to his Vampire Master. The thought of those words together, and that title made his skin crawl partly in loathing and partly in desire, but it was fitting given the situation. It was something of a feat for the Ram to sit there, looking Azazel in the face, and waiting for an acceptance of his offer. The thought of fangs at his neck, or even at his wrists, cold skin against his own that seemed to burn and writhe with darkness, was almost impossible to fathom. Yet, the taint within him wanted it. Needed it. Wanted to be needed by this strange vampire, and deep down, Mateo really wished he could help his Master in some way. He felt useless and small, and weak. And he didn’t much care to feel that way. To be useless was a sin akin to sloth, and it wasn’t something he could have. It would only feed his taint. And so, he had laid himself bare basically for this man before him. His blue eyes searched the vampire’s face, but it seemed that nothing readable was there. Or at least, Mateo was not yet accustomed to reading the face before him. One day, perhaps he would, but for now, he watched, awaiting the answer that would come, certain it would be that his Master would drink from him.

It was almost a slap of shock to find out that his Master had no desire to drink from him. Mateo pulled back, momentarily relieved. However, the relief was washed out and drowned down under the taint that willed the ram to anger quickly. A soft sound of irritation was spat from the ram’s mouth, but he turned away. Words bubbled at his lips, acidic and vile, ready to be spat at the vampire, but Mateo fought them. He knew it was a blessing in disguise, but this darkness within him was overwhelming, despite Nikki taking it from him. He closed his eyes, trying to count behind his eyelids, trying to calm himself down, even as he turned away from Azazel. The vampire even went as far to tell him to go find Nikki. It was a bit of a relief, given that the ram needed an escape, and he did just as he was told, bee lining it for the upstairs entertainment room where he had left the little blue-haired incubus. He wasn’t even sure how he got there so quickly. One moment he had been in the kitchen, and the next he was standing in front of Nikki, who jumped slightly at the ram’s sudden appearance. However, the blue haired male seemed to be excited. It was true after all, he had done just as Mateo had asked and stayed put. When Nikki mentioned food, the scent of spices wafted against Mateo’s nose, along the scent of meat. He frowned gently but said nothing. His two companions knew nothing of his eating habits. He would fault neither of them for not knowing that he couldn’t eat meat. Of course, he would have to play it off well at the dinner table once they sat down, but that could be done when they were indeed sitting.

Nikki was more than ready to eat it seemed, as he began dragging Mateo back downstairs towards Azazel and the food that awaited them. The ram kept pace, trying to manage his own emotions and that taint that pushed his darker emotions into a flurry. He couldn’t allow it to win. He had to be in control of his own problems. His own taint. He couldn’t rely on the little incubus or even the vampire. No. He only had himself. His life was intended to be lonely and self sacrificing. Giving all but gaining nothing. That had been the purpose of his creation, and that was how he had to live his life. When he reached the kitchen once more he found his Master standing besides three bowls. The scent of meat down here was much stronger. He sat, watching as the bowl was placed in front of him. He didn’t wish to be terrible rude, so instead, he stuck a spoon into the soup and twirled it slowly every now and then again, drinking from the water glass, and watching as Nikki devoured his soup, with an apparent inconsideration to the heat of the soup. It made the ram want to chuckle. Instead, he settled on a tiny smile and went back to stirring his soup and drinking his water until he’d finished a glass, and refilled for a second. When Nikki asked what they would do that evening, Mateo looked both at his master, and the little blue haired incubus. He wasn’t sure what they would do, but they needed to do something. He looked to Nikki. [color-darkblue]”Pick something Nikki…it’s time you chose something…” He’d meant the words to sound kind, but he wasn’t sure if he had delivered his message in such a manner. He only hoped the little incubus wouldn’t fault him too much. After all, the ram would do whatever the little incubus wanted to do, really. It made the ram feel better to see Nikki’s smiling face.

                                                      OOC: Sorry for the wait. And the shortness D;

Nikki glanced at Mateo, blinking in confusion. He really wasn't sure what he wanted to do. But he noticed that Mateo hadn't eaten anything and wondered if something was wrong. Unless... Mateo was a vegetarian? He was a ram, after all. Wouldn't such a big guy be hungry if he didn't eat lunch? He suddenly became curious, wondering if it was just vegetables that Mateo ate. Or grass? If Mateo was in his human form, would he eat grass? Or did he need to turn into the fluffy ram first...?

He stared at Mateo for a moment, sensing a hint of that taint lingering form earlier. If something had made Mateo mad or frustrated, it probably wasn't a good idea to drag Mateo around the house to find something fun to do. Maybe some fresh air would be a good idea. Finally Nikki stopped staring and pointed to the window.
"Let's go outside," Nikki piped, smiling up at Mateo. The incubus hopped off his chair and look Mateo's hand, looking up at Azazel. "Master, are you coming?" he asked, not sure if it was dark enough for the vampire to head outside with them yet. But Nikki was too hyper to wait for his answer. Maybe he was still a little unraveled from seeing Azazel so angry earlier, but he wasn't going to admit that. He still wanted to get closer to Mateo and Azazel.

Nikki lead Mateo towards the gardens again, walking over to the grass where he plopped down onto the lawn. He didn't really mean to but he pulled Mateo down beside him, burying his unoccupied fingers in the lush grass before he scooted close to Mateo and snuggled against the ram's side. Nikki was actually a bit hungry and sleepy so his body was going cold to preserve energy but he didn't say anything. He just tried to soak up as much of Mateo's warmth before the ram pulled away. The pool wasn't too far away so if Nikki really wanted to swim to wake himself up, he could. But the incubus wasn't too sure how he would feel about the outdoor pool. If it was too cold he didn't think he would like it. Nikki hated the cold. That reminded him, he still hadn't figured out who he was going to be sleeping with tonight. Azazel probably wouldn't be sleeping tonight. He's probably be out and about doing... Vampire things. And Nikki didn't think Azazel was the cuddling type since he didn't like clinging. But then again, Mateo probably wasn't either. He'd find out if Mateo pulled away from Nikki or not even though Nikki was now clinging to the warm ram. He didn't want to ask either because if they two said no, then it would make it harder to sneak into someone's bed to sleep at night. But Nikki would probably do that anyways.

He glanced at the grass beneath his hands and then at Mateo, looking back and forth a couple times before he finally blurted out his question.

"Do you only eat grass? And... stuff?" he asked, slowing down and trailing off when he realized how rude and stupid he sounded. "I was just wondering because you didn't eat earlier... So you're probably hungry," the little incubus said, glancing away when he felt himself blush.

Ice blue eyes watched how the two males at his table reacted to the meal he offered. His little bluebell had seemed more than appreciative of the food, while his golden ram seemed less than excited. It hadn't really dawned on the vampire that just because the ram took a human form, it didn't necessarily meant he would - or could - eat meat. Or if there was even a completely different reason, Azazel just didn't even bother to think that far. Still, with his sharp blue eyes, he watched his bluebell try and eat too soon, burn his mouth and go straight back to devouring the food. Eating in a much more refined manner, a glance every so often at his ram not eating the food was rather irritating. If he'd hand made everything then he might have been quite grumpy and might have even gone so far as to question his fuzzy companion as to why he dared to not eat. Ignoring the disregard to the soup and watching Nikki demolish what was left, he raised a curious eyebrow at the sudden question. The only other thing his bluebell had said was a thanks for the food, and a compliment of the food. Stirring the last of the noodles and broth in his bowl, trying to make the coagulated lumps of blood mix into the warm liquid (it was a losing battle he was fighting), he looked from Nikki to Mateo. They were expecting him to offer a suggestion? Highly unlikely. He wanted to go online and find a nice little night time delivery to quench his thirst so he wouldn't harm his boys. That was it. Some sweet, fresh blood, maybe a little bit of degrading fun with his food, and then some time to rest and let the blood refuel him.

Thankfully, the ram seemed to have a suggestion. Nikki should chose. Well, that wasn't a terrible idea. He could play happy Master for a little while, excuse himself and forbid his boys to come downstairs for a few hours and then play happy Master again to get to know them a little better. It was such a change, to actually have to learn something about the people that would now live in his house, the vampire wasn't overly comfortable about it. Yet, when he'd seen the bluebell and the ram, a part of him had screamed at him to take them home and keep them as his own. He'd wanted a live in sex slave, if he was to be brutally honest, but the adorable little incubus and the tainted creature had just... Well, it was like turning on a switch inside. It wasn't exactly a fatherly one (that would mean having to care for others on a much deeper level and he didn't want that) but it was definitely more of a 'if someone else bought them their beauty wouldn't be appreciated' kind of feeling. And the fact that Azazel would never admit that he could desperately do with some proper company in his house rather than various men and women that never stayed long and did nothing for his awful social skills. Taking a sip of his wine, it seemed that Nikki was very much okay with the idea that he could choose the activity and he chose.. Outside. Of course he would. The very small part of the vampire that wasn't a cynical a*****e knew that his garden would be good for the two boys, especially after being in that damned place, but it was still a touch too light outside for him for the moment. "I vill follow in...." and before he could finish lifting his hand to wave the boys away, they'd disappeared, thanks to the incubus' excitement. "A moment." Huffing and rolling his eyes, the blonde simply collected the bowls and Mateo's uneaten food and cleaned up to pass the time. The uneaten food was put into a container and straight into the freezer for another day. As long as a guest, himself or Nikki ate it, warming it up just once more wouldn't get them sick.

Kitchen clean, dining table clean and onto his fourth glass of red wine, Azazel stopped to stare inside his fridge. It definitely bordered on the edge of carnivorous which seemed to work with Nikki, but Mateo hadn't even touched the noodles. Finding a vegetarian option was going to be tricky, but soups could work. Anything with a thick base could work to his advantage, even tomato soup fancied up with some extra things for the meat eaters could hide blood pretty well. Shrugging, finding that it maybe wasn't that painful to adjust for Mateo, he headed outside. Dusk was safe for a vampire of his age, and cupping his glass of wine, he searched for his boys, finding the blue-haired babe easily. Having no idea what they were talking about, he simply stared down at the two, before suddenly taking a seat near them on the grass. He was feeling a little more social thanks to the two bloodbags he'd had recently, and the wine took some of the harshness away from his attitude. Staring at the red liquid that was slowly starting to look more black as dusk began to turn into night, he stayed quiet for a moment before suddenly speaking. "If zere is anythink you cannot eat due to allergies or... Religion. Or you simply just do not like it. Just... Tell me. It is easier in ze long run if we get ze little things out ze way." Shrugging and draining the glass in one mouthful, he got up suddenly and went to put his glass down on the patio table, before flicking a few switches at the bar. Garden lighting up a pleasant amount due to the lamps on the plinth posts that lined the path all the way down to the pool, he went and stood back on the grass with the boys. "We can stay out here if you two vish to, or if you are getting cold -" Azazel had noticed that Nikki was cuddling up to Mateo "- Ve can head inside and watch TV. If ve head inside, I hope you two vill tell me more about vat you like and don't. I'm not sharing my home vith two strangers." It seemed like night time was definitely more favourable to Azazel, and it even made him more reasonable. Given it was more of his natural habitat than day time, it made sense, but Azazel knew full well that if he didn't treat these two males properly and with some shred of respect, if Gadriel did indeed show up... He wouldn't lose to his brother again, he wasn't going to have that red-eyed freak ruin everything once again.

Eating, or rather, putting on the pretense of eating was hard. Mateo was attempting to make it look like he was interested, or curious about his meal, but it was nothing of the sort. The meat in the broth was less than desirable. The scent and idea turning over in his stomach. While he tried to stir the bowl every now and then, he felt eyes upon him. It was disconcerting to be studied, and it was only causing that negative energy within him to gnaw at him, whispering comebacks into his ears, making them fall upon his tongue, his lips. He wouldn’t speak them. Not here. Instead, he ground his teeth, suited for grinding, against one another. If he was going to be scrutinized at every meal this way, he’d rather not eat at all. Nikki amused himself in his own way, eating his food ravenously. Maybe they hadn’t really fed him at the estate, and this was his way of making up for it? Mateo didn’t know. He didn’t much care if the little incubus wanted to eat, or nt. He didn’t care if his master ate or not. There was a part of his taint still whispering to him that the blonde haired male was too proud to be feasting off something so tainted and irritation and self-loathing came into play once more, coating Mateo’s tongue thickly with more words he wished to spew, just so they would no longer jumble and tangle inside of him, bursting on his tongue, ready to slice into the first person they could like daggers. He closed his eyes, counted softly to three, trying to keep his anger down. It would do him no good to let it roam free. After all, he would only be fighting himself.

Instead, Nikki finally piped up, decided that it would be best for all of them to go outside after dinner. Mateo had given the little incubus the power to choose, but was surprised to find the blue haired male’s hand wrapped around his wrist, tugging him outside. Mateo nearly stumbled at first, but followed after the smaller male quickly, trying to keep up with him to the best of his abilities. He kept his balance long enough to be led to the gardens, only to be jolted down next to the little incubus. Mateo moved to gather himself quickly into a better position form his less than ceremonious fall, and found Nikki curling up against him. The ram tensed, trying to stay calm at the idea that this little male could be so close to him and not be affected. He’d lived so long with the idea that the merest touch would contaminate another that it was hard to adjust to this new idea of someone being close to him always. Nikki, however, seemed quite comfortable against him. Mateo bit the inside of his cheek, tasting the metallic tang of blood before he calmed his racing heart enough to look at Nikki. The male seemed quite preoccupied with the grass, before his gaze turned back to Mateo, and then back to the grass. The ram was just about to ask the incubus just what was so damn interesting about the grass, when Nikki blurted his question. It was so sudden and unexpected that it took the ram y surprise. True, untouched, bubbling laughter rose from Mateo’s chest, spilling from his mouth in warm tones. His eyes closed gently around the sound as he lost himself for a moment, away from the taint, and back into the ram he was without the hindrance of darkness.

He stopped himself long enough to answer. ”No. I do not just eat grass. Although if you asked me that in my other form, I’m not sure I would object. I cannot eat meat. Including fish. The creatures of this earth cannot be consumed by those of angelic stature. It would be a crime against nature. I only eat the excess of the world. Or… plants. I’m… vegetarian.” He stopped talking then, feeling a bit of a weight press back upon him. Wherever his light mood had come from, it was gone now, and a weight settled on his chest. He looked to Nikki gently, tentatively, a hand hovering near the male’s hair, before daring to touch it, with the softest brush of fingertips, before pulling himself away, punishing himself for being far too greedy as it was. His dark mood came over him once more, just like a cowl, covering more than his head, but his entire body. All too soon, the moment he had been himself had vanished, but it had been there. He wanted it back, but he knew that using Nikki could only be temporary, even if it seemed to fill the little incubus. That was not his purpose. Just as Mateo’s was to work through the burden he had been given. He gave a huff of breath and closed his eyes, feeling more than seeing their master join them on the grass. He moved farther from Nikki, as if they had been doing something wrong. After all, Mateo didn’t want to wage war with Azazel over the blue haired incubus. Nikki had just been…had just been, what exactly? The ram gave a sigh and turned dark eyes toward the sky, a small sliver of gold sliding back into their depths if anyone had paid the attention to notice.

When Azazel began laying out more options for their evening together, Mateo picked up on the feeling that the vampire had. It was much less tense than what had been at the dinner table, which may or may not have had to do with the conversation before dinner. Mateo didn’t know, but he tried to banish the thought before it rooted itself into place there. He didn’t want to go back to that darker place. The fleeting moment of happiness he had just had was what he wished to come back, and whether that had been form Nikki’s touches, or whether he was being rewarded with a moment of clarity, he was not certain, but it had been bliss. When Azazel mentioned what foods he could not eat, and wanting to know them up front to make life easier, Mateo sighed and picked a long stem of grass and began to chew on it. Of course, this action was partially to make the point of his herbivore lifestyle to Azazel, but he had also chosen to make a statement to amuse Nikki. He wasn’t sure exactly why, but he thought it would make the little incubus give a giggle, as a way to make up for their distance. It was too hard to play all of the emotions against each other, to find out just what was bothering Mateo, but he knew he didn’t truly want either male upset with him, despite the taint that egged him on to irritate the living s**t out of both the vampire and the blue haired male, .Instead, he scrubbed at his eyes and once the blade of grass had whittled down to nothing between his teeth, he sucked the long blade into his mouth, chewed, and promptly swallowed. He ran a hand through his mussed hair and sat, staring at Nikki. He would be the one to make all the decisions. Mateo would just go along with them. He didn’t care if it would be a long night, he supposed he would have to do what was necessary to keep the blue haired male happy, which would in turn, keep the vampire happy.

Nikki blushed deeply when Mateo bursted into laughter but it only look a moment or two before he giggled along. He nodded to show he understood when Mateo explained his diet, although his cheeks remained pink from embarrassment. Somehow, seeing Mateo laugh so freely made Nikki's heart feel light and calm. When Mateo's body shook with laughter next to him Nikki felt the warmth of his mood and when he felt Mateo's fingers brush his hair, the little incubus leaned into the ram's hand instinctively. The moment was short and lasted until until the taint seemed to take over. Azazel arrived and Mateo almost immediately moved away. Nikki's chest give a tiny pang.

"뭐?" The incubus blinked and his hand inched up to his chest, stopping mid way before he decided to draw his legs up and wrap his arms around them instead to conserve energy. He ignored the feeling and glanced up at Mateo, catching a glimpse of gold before it disappeared. He blinked again, rubbing his eyes. Was he imagining that? Perhaps he imaged the pang too. Nikki wouldn't know. He just brushed off and looked up at his master as the man arrived and joined them, grinning at Azazel as usual.

There was an odd moment of silence until the topic of food was brought back up, Nikki glanced between his master and Mateo. They both knew very well what kind of meals Nikki needed so he guessed this question was more for Mateo. The tense feeling that came from Mateo told Nikki that the ram probably hadn't appreciated the meal earlier too much.

Nikki observed the conversation. He thought that Mateo was opening his mouth to reply but instead he plucked a blade of grass and began to munch away, making giggles bubble out of Nikki's mouth. Just as Mateo had intended, the space between them was forgotten.

His hands fluttered up to his mouth and Nikki muffled the giggles, wondering where Mateo's sarcasm had come from. Nikki didn't know. But he didn't care either. He just glanced to Azazel to see if the vampire had somehow been offended. Hopefully not. He wondered if he should tell Azazel that Mateo was a vegetarian. But somehow Nikki felt that their earlier meal and Mateo's current snack was enough said.

Nikki suddenly raised his hand like a student, to reply to Azazel's question.
"I'm allergic to anything that's not dessert!" Nikki piped, sounding as if he was sure that his comment would guarantee him a good amount of sweets. "And for religious reasons, I can't eat soggy vegetables," he added in a matter-of-fact-ly tone. As if Azazel would take him seriously.

Then the next question was posed; What would they do now? Although the idea of going inside seemed to be favored by his body, which shivered whenever the slightest breeze blew, Nikki decided against it. Mateo's stare told the incubus that it was his turn to choose again.

"I want to stay outside a little longer," he replied, eyes wide. It seemed the company of his master and friend were enough to keep Nikki energized for a few moments longer. Mateo and Azazel didn't seem to be quite in the same page yet and Nikki had an idea to fix that.

The little incubus got up suddenly and padded away from the two, making his way around the yard. The two could converse as he did his thing. The boy would scan the grass with his eyes and then kneel down to pick yellow dandelions and other stray flowers that were growing freely in the grass, avoiding the flower beds so that he wouldn't get in trouble for picking from them. When he returned, Nikki had his hands full of little flowers, having to hold some in his arms to avoid dropping them all as he made his way back to the two males.

"There," he said, plopping the flowers in the middle of the group as he plopped himself down as well, a bit closer to Azazel this time. It seemed Nikki was really running out of energy as his breaths came and went in little huffs. He was slightly out of breath and shivered from excitement and tiny chills which ran over his skin. He'd steal some of Azazel's warmth this time by sitting close to him. Minus the cuddling.

Nikki was obviously up to something but he hadn't really made it that clear yet. Instead, he got to work. The incubus began to pick through the flowers, pulling leaves off some flowers and shortening the stems when they were too long. He glanced at Mateo, purposely setting the pieces of stems and leaves near the ram out of curiosity and consideration. He still thought Mateo was hungry.

Once he picked through all the flowers, Nikki began to weave them together, focused on what he was doing. His finger tips were being stained green but the incubus didn't seem to notice. He did wonder if he was making the two impatient but it didn't take long before Nikki had made three flower crowns. The smallest, he set on his own head before he picked up one of the larger crowns and set it on Azazel's head, not caring much about whether or not the vampire wanted it.
                                          "Here, Master," Nikki chimed proudly.

He paused as soon as he dropped it on Azazel's head. His lips began to quiver along with his chest as Nikki suppressed a fit of giggles. Somehow the yellow and white flowers against Azazel's blonde hair made the fact that his master was a superior, blood thirsty vampire with a temper completely irrelevant.

"A-And-" Nikki continued, quickly turning away from Azazel before he could bursting into a laughing fit. He picked up Mateo's crown and held it out for the ram. "Lean closer!" Nikki instructed, unable to reach the top of Mateo's head since he was father from the ram than the vampire.

He stretched his arms out and waited for Mateo to lean in, leaning towards the ram himself. When they were finally close enough, Nikki laid the flower crown on Mateo's head but he didn't pull away. Instead he inched closer to pressed his lips to Mateo's, stealing away that taint that had been noticeably radiating off of Mateo. Once he felt he had taken enough for now, the incubus pulled back and smiled, cheeks flushed from his snack.

"Now you match," Nikki mused, smiling at the other two males. It seemed he was fully satisfied with his play time outside. Despite the warmth that welled up inside him from eating Mateo's taint, the chill that came as the night settled in made Nikki shiver. It was probably time to go inside.

                                          - - -

That night, once everyone had dispersed to their rooms and the house fell silent, the sound of a door creaking open with a set of light footsteps shuffling about could be heard. Feet padded down the hallway until they stopped at Mateo's bedroom. The ram's door creaked open slowly and the light shuffling continued into the male's room, approaching his bed slowly until the shuffling turned into the creaking of the bed's springs and shifting of the sheets. This was probably the last thing you wanted to hear in the middle of the night in an unfamiliar house...

But finally a tiny whimper broke into the night as Nikki's trembling little body found Mateo's warmth and curled against it. Nikki sniffled miserably and squirmed his way against Mateo's chest, wrapping his arms around the ram's torso. He was clinging to him desperately with quivering hands. His body was ice cold to the touch and dampness from Nikki's eyes and cheeks rubbed onto the ram as the incubus nuzzled his face into Mateo, shivering uncontrollably.

Nikki despised the cold. He hated it! He didn't even think about how Mateo would react to him sneaking into his bed. All Nikki knew was that he would absolutely not sleep alone tonight. Or ever. He just took in as much of Mateo's warmth as he could before he would be kicked out of the ram's room, whimpering the whole time.

It was getting harder and harder to sit and watch the little blue haired incubus. Once Azazel had joined them, Mateo found it harder to keep his irritation down. That urge to irritate both his master and the incubus had surfaced again. However, the ram began playing into other emotions of the two in his company to make his urges less hungry. With the laughs from Nikki’s mouth, and the feeling of finally having something in his belly, even if it was just a single blade of grass that had undoubtedly stopped existing already, Mateo felt slightly calmer. Although, he was in no way ready to reach out and touch the incubus, nor his mater. There was no certainty that he was in fact, free of taint at any moment. It could not even be guaranteed that he was in control of his taint, but Nikki seemed to be distracted by the presence of their master, so it gave Mateo somewhat of a reprieve. When the incubus began making jokes about his dietary constraints the ram gave a gentle smile, and then turned his eyes to the stars, lowering himself to the ground to get a better picture. Once, he had known a friend who shaped the stars, and drew pictures in the sky. If the ream really looked, as darkness began to come faster and darker, Mateo could see where his friend had hung different depictions in the sky. Constellations were what humans called them, but the ram knew that the stars were nothing more than playthings for his friend, before distance and circumstance had separated them. At a side thought, the ram wondered if his friend had found the happiness they had been searching for, such a long time ago before they were parted. The ram would most likely never know, but it was a comfort to think that his friend had found what they searched for.

When Mateo looked over to see his companions, he noted that Nikki had ventured off into the yard. The ram propped himself up on his elbows to keep his gaze on the incubus. It was getting colder, and Nikki had already been shivering. Perhaps, he shouldn’t care as much as he did. After all, the incubus was clearly the property of Azazel, as he had made perfectly clear. There was just something about Nikki that the ram couldn’t leave alone. He didn’t want the little blue haired incubus hurt either. He would do many things before he would allow the incubus to be harmed. However after a few moments, the little incubus returned with an armful of dandelions and other weed-like flowers. Mateo smiled, wondering if he had thought the flowers in the flowerbeds were off limits. If Mateo was fully himself, he would have made the incubus an entire little army of healthy, colorful flowers. As it was, Mateo was certain his gift of flowers would be harmful if he attempted. Instead, he sat up, giving up on his visions of the starts to watch Nikki as his deft fingers moved stems into shapes at his bidding. The ram could only guess what was going on. The little incubus was weaving flower crowns. Mateo wouldn’t spoil the surprise, but he was no stranger to the craft himself. Instead, he watched as Nikki moved to make not only one, but three crowns, his fingers turning green with the plants nutrients leaving their prone forms as they moved to Nikki’s directions. Mateo smiled, watching his little fingers finish the last of the crowns, before they slipped one on his own head. The second went to his master.

It was truly enjoyable to see the vampire disarmed from his dangerous demeanor, with the picturesque vision of a flower crown gracing his forehead like a coronet. Truly, the ram wished to laugh, but Nikki faced him, and Mateo looked at him in question for only a moment before doing as he was told and leaning forward to give better access to the little incubus. Mateo was surprised, however, to feel sweet, soft lips upon his own, once more drawing at the taint that threatened to overwhelm him. The golden flare drew back into his eyes as he looked at Nikki, a slight flush on his cheeks. It would consume him, and that was the ram’s great fear. His freedom couldn’t be at the expense of another. He glanced at Nikki, an almost torture in his eyes. ”N..Nikki…” Mateo did not miss the comment, and looked to Azazel to see the matching crowns, the remnant sparkle still adorning his eyes before he looked to Nikki with concern. How much would the incubus eat before the taint took effect? The ram truly didn’t believe that it would go on for long without harming the little incubus, and the repercussions were what he feared. He didn’t want Nikki to disappear under the terrible ill temperament of the curse that wound its way through him. Instead, he closed his eyes and touched the crown gently, looking towards the sky once more, as if it could offer guidance to his problem. He knew there would be no answer, as his predicament was his alone to figure out, but the thought of being looked after by his friend, or even by another soul who would understand was something that Mateo wouldn’t have minded having. After a while, Mateo simply moved to head inside, unable to continue outside. He needed moments alone to process all these happenings, and he couldn’t let Nikki continue to eat from him. He knew that sooner or later, the taint would become too much, or simply learn to hide from the incubus.

The night was long. Mateo fell asleep easily, unsure of what to make of his new life. It had been one day, and already, his tactics of avoiding his companions had failed, his taint had been toyed with, and he had seen a kind of momentary euphoria that he hadn’t achieved in so long. The whole shift had taken its toll on Mateo, and cast the ram into slumber early. It was deep enough that the creaking of doors and padding of footsteps were not heard. Instead, the thing that woke the ram up was the ice cold form that slid into bed next to him. What was awoken was not the happiness of the ram, but the darker side. When the little incubus inched closer, the ram grabbed quickly, pulling the little body towards him, looking at his small form. Mateo firmly reached to take hold of Nikki’s chin, moving to turn it up to see his dark eyes and the cocky, triumphant grin that reached his face. ”Little incubus. I promise to drive you mad if you continue to try and shift me from this vessel. I do love nightmares.” A smirk coated the rams features as he kept his arms locked firmly around the incubus, reveling in the innocence that Nikki possesses. After all, if the incubus wanted to take away the darkness, then so the shadow would move to take away the light. That was how the war was waged for eternity. It would continue to be so.

Eventually, however, the darkness lost its hold over the ram and Mateo, asleep and fully himself, loosened his hold on Nikki’s body, neither pushing him away, nor holding him in place. Ignorant in his sleep, Mateo simply continue to dream his dreamless sleep. The first rays of dawn began to sneak over the horizon and still, Mateo did not awake until the round sun had made it’s full appearance over the line of earth in the distance. Golden eyes opened slowly and almost unaware as he gently moved himself from the bed to the bathroom to clean up for the morning. The night had not been kind to him, and instead, left his tousled hair even more of a mess than usual. How he had managed to sleep like a rock so completely, even the ram himself did not know. But he was ready to see what the new day would bring.

                                                      OOC: Hope this didn't effect anyone's plans D; I left it open so Nikki could still be in bed, or have escaped form scary dark Mateo D;

Nikki had never fully understood the tortured look in Mateo's eyes. He never understood why the ram was so reluctant to let Nikki get close to him. The blond always talked about his "taint" but Nikki hadn't completely understood what exactly was so terrible about it... Until now.

When Mateo suddenly pulled Nikki closer, not gently and comfortingly but firmly and almost violently, Nikki's blue eyes widened in surprise as his chin was pulled upward. What he found when he looked up was not a familiar gold colour that Nikki recognized. No, Mateo's eyes were dark and piercing but Nikki didn't try to look away. When the ram's lips parted and he began to speak, Nikki's wide eyes narrowed as he came to his senses. This wasn't Mateo. It was clear from the smug look the ram had on his face that was nothing like the cautious and gentle expression Mateo always had on. And it lit up a flame in Nikki's chest.

Instead of squirming out of Mateo's arms and running back to his room when the taint retreated back into it's vessel, Nikki closed his eyes and hugged the ram, leaning his head on Mateo's chest. Those words were surely the words of the taint inside Mateo. The taint wasn't just a little bit of bad energy lurking inside Mateo's body. It was a whole nother being that threatened to take Mateo over completely. And Nikki hated it.

Glancing up, Nikki reached up and put a hand on Mateo's cheek, eyes softening.
"I'll protect him," he thought, running a thumb over Mateo's cheek. And Nikki would make sure he protected Mateo. Obviously the taint didn't know what it was up against. If it was nightmares that the taint would use to fight Nikki, then Nikki welcomed them. He would consume the taint like he had promised and nightmares would just make it easier. Nikki would eat up all the nightmares. He would be like Mateo's personal exorcist.

Withdrawing his hand, Nikki wrapped it around Mateo again and held the ram almost protectively. He leaned up and kissed the corner of Mateo's mouth before settling down and snuggling closer to Mateo.
"Goodnight Mateo," he whispered before drifting off to sleep in Mateo's warmth.

The next morning, it seemed Mateo had managed to get up without noticing the little bulge in the sheets that was Nikki, curled up by Mateo's side under the covers. The bulge whined as Mateo got out of bed, taking his warmth with him and Nikki squirmed over to the spot that Mateo had occupied, humming pleasantly as he soaked up the remaining warmth under the covers.

Once all of it was gone, Nikki squirmed out of the sheets, still half asleep and sprawled himself out on the bed, basking in the sunlight that filled the room. His blue hair was messy and obviously needed to be brushed. It was tangled and stuck up at odd angles, his bangs flicked upwards from a cowlick that Nikki always had to style to keep down while Nikki's clothes were crooked and wrinkled. But he was too tired to be a fashionista like always. All Nikki wanted right now was warmth. And "breakfast".

Sitting in his office alone now, the vampire leaned back in his chair and let his mind drift back to earlier in the evening. Ever since sending the two off to bed - or so he liked to believe he had some control over when they wanted to sleep - he'd been unable to push the happy thoughts out his mind. It was quite a foreign concept, all this happiness, and he was quite glad for some alone time. Staring out the window to the barely visible garden below, he could still smell the fresh grassy scent on his trousers, and the pollen from the flowers in his hair. Nikki had been nothing short of adorable, there was no other way to describe his actions, and all Azazel had been able to do was watch in silence. Frankly he'd had no objections to Nikki going around picking the stray flowers in the grass, and wouldn't have minded if he'd plucked some fresher, prettier flowers from the beds, but he'd appreciated the male's respect to his property. The flower crown had been a bit of a surprise, and definitely not something the vampire would normally allow himself to even wear, but knowing that he needed to make some kind of connection with his boys, he had allowed Nikki to put the crown on his head. Currently the crown sat on his desk, looking a little sorry for itself now it was slowly dying, and he prodded it with his finger. The kiss his little incubus had stolen from Mateo hadn't gone unnoticed, but he wasn't about to punish his little bluebell for doing something to help someone. The golden colour had returned to Mateo's eyes and it suited the ram beautifully. Enough so that Azazel felt quite proud he'd found the tainted creature. It did worry him that Nikki's own demonic nature wouldn't be able to handle Mateo's taint for too long, at least his bluebell could take some away some of the pain for a short while.

Turning back to his computer, the vampire picked up the crystal tumbler nearby and took a sip of the strong scotch he'd poured in it earlier. His original plan for the evening had been abandoned in favour of researching new meals for Mateo. Having a vegetarian in the house had been... Unexpected to say the least, but he wasn't about to let it get the better of him. Azazel wasn't an idiot, and he was a learned man. No flesh of any kind could be eaten, which was easy enough to remove from meals for the ram, but it was the 'excess of the world' line that left him slightly thrown. Did that mean he couldn't eat eggs or milk? What if it was from a farm, selling their excess? Taking a pause to wonder why he was giving such a damn about something someone in his house had to eat, Azazel looked down to a locked drawer of his desk. Running a hand through his hair, he honestly knew why he was giving such a damn, but it still didn't feel right. He hadn't cared about anyone in a while, anyone that wasn't himself or his bedroom candy for the time being, so it felt incredibly out of character. But, as the sun began to rise and a few cars off in the distance could be heard by the vampire, he picked up his phone and dialled a number.
"Hey, it'sss the Russian Nightowl! Whatsss going on blondie?" The voice on the other end of the phone sounded rather seedy, and the way his voice hisses after each 's' sounded minutely inhuman.
"I asked you not to call me zat. Blondie iz such a girly name." He spoke softly, not wanting his voice to accidentally carry through his house. "I need you to go find a few things for me. I vill message you vat I need. Do not ring back, just message ze answers."
A few more pleasant remarks passed, more conversational than business-like, the vampire hung up the phone and busied himself looking for recipes again after texting his demands.

It was barely hitting eight am when his phone buzzed on the desk. A list of places he could order farm fresh produce online for delivery. The places in question offered farm produce that was being sold as abundant stock. If that wasn't good enough by his pretty ram's angelic law then he wasn't sure what else he could offer, so he went straight to the shop websites in question to see which ones were more convenient. It took yet another hour to get anything ordered at all, the knowledge of carnivorous meals outweighed his knowledge of vegetarian by a whole weight-class, and Azazel was soon in the kitchen making breakfast. Wasn't hard to figure out a breakfast without meat; health-conscious bed-buddies had been a trend for the male for a while so he had plenty of supplies. Setting out options - fruit, organic muesli, organic bread - enough to feed a large family instead of simply two males, Azazel wandered back upstairs and stood on the landing.
"Breakfast is in ze kitchen. Get dressed to go out. Ve are going shopping."
His voice was strong enough to carry to his two boys, loud and clear, but he didn't go knocking on doors. He knew where Nikki was, he could sense the heartbeats well enough to know his little bluebell had swapped rooms. Frankly he wasn't surprised, he knew the incubus was more sensitive than the ram. A little annoyed that he wasn't sort out, he still didn't blame Nikki for his actions; Azazel knew he wasn't the most approachable person. Heading back to the kitchen, the vampire got himself some food and made sure his outfit was neat enough after sitting around in it almost the whole night. The wool cardigan had replaced the dual vest combo he wore earlier, but the rest of his outfit was basically the same as when they'd arrived home - except clean. Cleaning up his 'breakfast' - it had been nothing more than a couple of bags of his better quality blood from his special fridge - he sat down at the dining table and waited for his guests to appear.

"Ve shall leave ven you two have eaten. If ve can get home by midday I vill be most happy." Bright blue eyes watched the two males before him, his face much more relaxed at the moment. "Try and enjoy your food, if possible. Zere vill be a delivery today, so do not feel bad if you vant to eat a lot now." Rolling his shoulders, Azazel was trying his best to be a bit kinder to his two boys. It was definitely not in his nature, it was a little obvious by his lack of consistent eye contact, but hopefully his effort was appreciated by the two boys. His stomach definitely wasn't enjoying being this kind and considerate, but given the reasoning behind his purchases of the boys, a change in his personality would have to eventually happen - willing or not. If he had to force himself to adopt a more caring attitude to keep his boys safe, then he would. If it meant throwing away years of selfishness and bad attitude in order for him to gain some trust, then he would. It wasn't going to be easy, but the vampire knew deep down it was time for change. He'd gone too many years harbouring resentment and a whole bunch of negative emotions. How bad would it be to try and show some kindness to the two people he hoped would share his home for many a year to come? Giving his head a little shake, realising he was beginning to stare off into space, he exhaled slowly. "If ve can get vat you two need for showering and dressing in orderly time, I vill... I vill let you pick out some new furniture online for your rooms." Tapping his fingers on the table, he shrugged a little to say 'I'm trying here', and didn't really move or say anything until Mateo and Nikki indicated they were ready to leave. Waving a hand to follow him out the house and along the shaded patio, he lead them back to his Charger and unlocked it with a click of a button. He didn't care who sat where, he just wanted to get home as quick as possible. While 11am was a far better time for him to nap, midday was barely acceptable. If it remained cloudy like it currently was outside, then he'd be okay. At least the fancy outlet mall wasn't far away, fifteen minutes tops.

Nikki was busy basking in the warmth of the sunlight that flowed into the room when Azazel's voice suddenly run out into the room, startling him. The incubus whined and curled up into a ball. He hated being woken up if it wasn't with a meal. And by meal, he meant some kind of physical contact so he could leech off someone's life energy. Not human food. Human food wasn't going to fill up the little blue haired boy's appetite so early in the morning. But the one thing other than life energy that encouraged the boy to sit up was when he heard the word "shopping".

Nikki grumbled and uncurled himself, sliding off the bed until his feet touched the ground. Obviously he was still a little grumpy since he hadn't had a "proper" meal yet but if he got to go shopping (and didn't have to wear the terrible second hand clothes Azazel had to offer), part of Nikki's brain would manage to force him to move. And it did. His body was craving energy enough that the little amount he would get from the food that was spreading a delicious smell through the house would be enough for now.

The boy managed to get himself back to his room, where he stripped off his sleeping clothes, nearly dozed off naked sitting on the edge of his bed, and finally squirmed into the clothes that he had arrived in. Even the mostly-asleep Nikki refused to go outside wearing second hand clothes. He made it to the kitchen in one piece and plopped himself down at the table, yawning and rubbing his eyes. His blue hair was still a mess on the top of his head but Nikki wasn't awake enough to fully realize that yet.

He'd somehow found a brush and brought it downstairs, though. Glancing down at the brush in his hand, Nikki reached up to start brushing hair hair and huffed (still grouchy) when it got itself tangled in his blue mane and stayed put.
"씨발," the boy muttered. He was much too tired and grumpy to do it himself. The little pout on his mouth helped to communicate that.

Nikki's eyes were still mostly closed and he only opened them the tiniest but when necessary before dozing off again. He fumbled around for his eating utensils and finally began to dig into his breakfast. Even in this grumpy (or hangry) mood, the incubus still moaned in delight as he ate. When he finished, he'd taken enough energy to at least open his eyes halfway and stop grunting curse words to himself in korean. Now he was just drowsy and staring off into space a lot. When Azazel spoke he just nodded although it was clear that Nikki was only getting about half of what Azazel was saying since he still mostly asleep. It would probably be a good idea if either Mateo of Azazel got around to feeding Nikki some time before they arrived at the shopping centre. Maybe they'd already noticed but his body was giving off a gentle but sweet scent since he was lacking quite a bit of energy. Perhaps Mateo and Azazel could ignore the scent but any normal human being, especially make would be drawn in and intoxicated by the scent; Unable to resist Nikki's body's demand for food.

Nikki dozed off until Mateo was ready to go and followed the males to the car. His hair was still a mess and the comb was tangled somewhere in there but Nikki was too sleepy to notice. Either someone would take note of it and give Nikki a hand or the incubus was going to go to the mall in his current state and throw a fit later when he realized that he had gone out in public looking so messy.

He was a couple steps behind the bigger males and eventually ended up reaching forward and holding onto the edge of Mateo's shirt to keep in tow with the two men. When they got to the car, Nikki slid in the back behind the driver's seat, blinking at the back of Azazel's blond hair as they started driving. I was not even five minutes into the ride before the scent of the two males begin to fill the car and Nikki's expression suddenly changed from sleepy to lustful... He was getting hungier with the smell of the ram and vampire swarming him.

"Master," he suddenly purred, speaking properly for the first time today although his voice was sweet and slightly slurred. He leaned forward and slowly reached around the driver's seat to place his hands on Azazel's shoulders and chest. "Master, I'm hungry," he mewled while he leaned forward and arched his back, head lolling to the side. His eyes shifted from the back of Azazel's head towards Mateo. Azazel was probably going to learn that taking a hungry incubus into a cramped space with two men should have been previously thought through.

And it seemed that hungry Nikki didn't realize that distracting the driver was a big no-no.
