Best to start with is Woodwork or Cooking.
Goldsmithing - AMAZING results but you will be forkin out loads to fund the lvling
Alchemy - kinda useless sometimes
Clothcraft - only really good if you wanna make the mage clothes
Leathercraft - light armors
bonecraft = Scorpion Harness tho
xd Crafting results seem to vary a lot from servers to servers;
Here's the results from Phoenix.
Cooking - Pretty good, just like all other servers, you make slow progress because there are so many people with 100+5 in cooking. Find something that someone isn't making and then put them up for auction. You won't be making much money until you've got Raw Fish Handling (for sushi) or some other stuff that people seem to be eating now. Sushi is a loss-loss industry now since everyone is making them and the only way to make money is to make +1 Sushi's out of their stack of ingredients.
Woodworking - Terrible, Terrible, Terrible! The crafters are destroying their own industry by mass producing and then cutting eachothers prices down by 100 gil/stacked arrows. It would be good though if you made the bolts and arrows for yourself. Making Elemental Staves costs a lot of money as well, you lose around 1 mil on ingredients if you don't make a High Quality item.
Goldsmithing - Costs a lot to get high up as a goldsmither. You'll need a lot of money to start or spend a lot of time mining.
Smithing - They used to say that Smithing was the poor man's goldsmither, but it's now the other way around. It costs millions and millions for each level. And the miners aren't even nice about when they're increasing the money, becoming more and more greedy for their mining results. Not recommended.
Alchemy - Pretty decent, you won't be making any profit unless you make anything High Quality, often lives on making Sneak Oils and Prism Powders, farming their own ingredients.
Clothcraft - Terrible industry, terrible profits, terrible raw material price. You certainly won't make any profit from this unless you HQ. Profit only made if you're harvesting your own 'grass' for threads. Then again, it's very skeptical if you'll make a profit even then. Because of the price for the scythe and the extra ingredients' you'll be needing.
Leathercraft - Not much to say, it's decent, but don't do Leathercraft if a high levelled person can name 5 100+3 leathercrafters. Since there aren't many (good) things to craft for a high levelled leathercrafter.
Bonecraft - I still haven't sold my Scorpion Arrow Pieces that I made, and Scorpion Harness synthing isn't even profitable. If you synth a normal Scorp. Harness then you'll actually lose around 2 mil. If you however synth a Scorp Harness +1 you'll be raking in around 2 mil.
Conclusion: The synthing industry is really bad at Phoenix. And a good rule for all crafts (except Cooking) in all servers is, if you can name around 5 100~ active crafters, then you should change to another craft.
