Yipes was busy trying to teach his little birdy baby what was good for eating and what was good for throwing at people. Which was hard to do since Allouete wasn't too fond of him. Or anyone, for that matter. She kept trying to bite him. And scratch him. And peck his eyes out.
But that was okay. She could do whatever she wanted because every now and then, she would sleep and Yipes would hold her and love her and try to suck out those evil, angry emotions and cast them into a jar. So far, he had filled up a few good sized jugs of these black festering emotions.
And in reward, whenever she would wake up from those special naps, she would be an angel. For about 30 minutes. Then all hell would break loose. That was what was happeneing now. All hell had broken loose. Yipes was running around in a circle, being chased by a very pissed off birdy.

Twizzz was perfectly relaxed sitting on the ground, his back leaned against something. He yawned widely, it was mostly entertaining to watch Yipes try to take care of the strange little guy that had come out of the egg, but sometimes watching Yipes run around in circles just downright wore Twizzz out.
Yipes was always growing on Twizzz, he liked having the company, even if the other pae was a little bit nutters. That's why he tended to stick around the faun, he really didn't have anywhere else he wanted to be. The demon male stretched, "Keep up the good work Stripes, I think it likes you, why else would it chase you?" Twizzz laughed, thinking of one of Yipes other friends who was fond of chasing.

Yipes gave a small squeal as Allouete latched onto his hiney. "Of course I'm doing a good job! I'm her mother. It's what mother's do, right?." he said, walking calmly back to Twizzle, Allouete following on Yipes rear end. "But I think we should get her food. She seems to be OW!" Yipes gave another squeal as Allouete began to chew.
".....Hungry"

Allouete wasn't about to let go. Not until this striped thing that passed for a mother gave her something more delicious to chew on. Though she was tempted to spit this part of her mommy out. It tasted like dirt and sweat.
Letting go of the striped faun, she dropped to the ground and hopped over to the other striped thing. "CHIRPCHIRPCHIRP" she cried, looking up at delicious smelling demon. "CHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRP!!!!!"

Twizzz's eyes were closed, he was ready for a nap now. "Stripes... dude. Wouldn't you be his father?" The striped demon smiled as he opened one eye to see what was going on. "Yeah, you should definitely get it some food, I think there's a chunk of hair missing from your butt." He shouldn't smile, his friend might have been in legitimate pain, but this scenario was just too funny. Watching Yipes, of all pae, raising a child. "Oh no no no no." He winced as the baby started chirping at him, he was perfectly content with remaining invisible to the chick and taking his nap. How was he going to get his beauty rest with the chick chirping at him. "Ok, ok, don't worry. Papa Stripes will get you some food." He smiled at the chick and went back to resting his eyes.

Allouete snarled at the striped demon. Obviously, both her parents were going to let her starve. Turning back to the rainbow colored one called mom, she began to sniffle.
She really was hungry. And if neither of them were going to get her anything other than berries and leaves, she would just have to eat one of them.
Yipes puffed up with pride. "Yes. Papa Stripes will get you food. Although I'm pretty sure my equipment details are made for mothering..." he mumbled. Looking around, he grabbed berries from the nearest bush and offered them to the little chick. When the little chick turned her head, he grabbed a clump of grass and ripped it up from the ground. However, the little chick refused that as well. Giving up, he grabbed one of his rock friends and offered it to her.
"It's okay Charlie. I'll remember you forever." he said with a slight sniffle himself. He liked Charlie. Charlie was the disspassionate one.
Allouete stared at the rock. He wanted her....to eat THIS? That's it. She couldn't take it anymore. Her stomach was currently trying to eat itself and she was salivating from the mere smell of her other mother.
So she did the only thing she could. She cried.

Twizzz ignored the snarl of the baby, temper tantrums were not going to get a response out of him. No, sir. His eyes did peak open when she started to cry though. "Oh no, Stripes, look what you did." Twizzz complained as he looked around to see what had happened while his eyes had been shut. "Really, a rock? No wonder." Twizzz sighed, was he going to have to do everything himself? He had not signed up for this at all. Twizzz couldn't even think of something to help though with the sound of her cries filling his ears. The sound was painful and wretched. "Did you try giving her some real food?" Twizzz asked, not knowing that the faun had already offered her the berries. Twizzz held out his hand and shot a small length of licorice string at the harpy.

Yipes fretted as Twizz scolded him and attempted to feed her his candy. "Hey! Charlie is a wonderful companion. And I believe her insides need a friend!" He yelled, wondering if Twizz could even hear him over the birds shrill cries.
Shaking his head, he yelled again. "It doesn't seem to be working! And I don't want her eating me. I am too colorful for her. Perhaps she could you?" He offered, a little crestfallen at the thought this pet might not survive if they couldn't get her to eat.
Children were hard. He hadn't really thought of that when grabbed the Egg. But now they had a real, live chick a d she was real live angry, and the rocks were crying cause of all the noise. Alouette was still crying but her cries became less deafening when she heard the dumb multicolored one suggest eating the red striped one. She cocked her head, mid shriek and stared at the other pae who had been so readily offered up to her. He looked chewy tho.
Pouting, she flopped herself down on the ground and continued to scream.

"Stripes!" Twizzz was not getting his much needed nap and the sound of the bird screaming was causing a head ache to build. Normally he could laugh off his friends strange thoughts and behaviors because it was amusing, but with an actual living thing screaming at them, his tolerance was quickly diminishing. Yipes needed to take care of this thing the way it actually needed to be taken care of, not his way. So basically Twizzz was going to have to do everything. "Her insides need food. Her outsides need a friend." That sounded weird, but it was the only way Twizzz felt he could make sense to the faun. "And I am not getting eaten." He said indignantly. At least, he wasn't going to be eaten aside from the licorice he could provide, but that didn't seem to be doing the trick anyways. "I'll be back... try not to die." He sighed, not sure which of the two he was talking to when he said that. It was like a breath of fresh air as soon as he got away from that mess. He quickly grabbed a handful of berries that he would personally enjoy. Twizzz was about to head back when he paused, the kid looked like a bird... what if it liked what birds liked? Twizzz tried to picture the times he had seen a bird eating, maybe it would like fruit. But Twizzz took a couple of extra moments to dig in the dirt for some bugs. Satisfied with his haul, and having taken enough time away that his headache was gone, Twizzz returned. "Everyone still alive?" He asked nervously.
