I had a weird dream last night. It was weird in that it contained pretty much all of the aspects of things that traditionally happen in dreams as they are presented in media, but almost never happen in my dreams. It was also weird in that it looked like a dream written by committee by a group of people who only know me through tumblr.
It started on either the moon or Pluto; some cold gray planet with no atmosphere to interfere with the view of the milky way. The stellarscapes was amazing. I leapt up off of the surface and into space. I was distinctly me at this point: a young woman with long black hair and little bows at my temples. I was wearing a short dress with a bow at the neck, much like I often do. (in fact I dressed like I was in the dream today) I grinned and just felt terrifically happy like a manic schoolgirl in an anime.
I soared down to the earth, skimming forests until I pass over the road outside my house, where I go walking when the mood strikes me. The weather was beautifully silvery, with dim blue mists and twisted branches lining the sky. As I fly down the road, I realize that I'm dreaming and I feel pretty good about it. All I've seen since the dream started was beauty and freedom, so I'm quite happy to be dreaming.
I landed and admire the scenery around me. The mist spun a bit beside me and coalesced into the sixth Doctor. He might have sparkled a little, but it was distinctly shojo sparkles, not Twilight sparkles. You know how it is: set Doctor to maximum fangirl. I think that this all very well and good, I am quite fond of the sixth Doctor, but as Kat I don't really have any business adventuring with him; so I make the conscious decision to turn into Peri. (but not with a "boing" sound effect as Willow suggested) The Doctor and I, who am now Peri, smile at each other, link hands and start walking down the road looking for a nice quiet place to be alone for a bit.
I remember there's an abandoned building a little down the road, and the two of us decide that to go there. It is truly a beautiful little piece of architecture, only about a story and a half tall, with loose shingles and only about ten feet wide. The angles aren't quite right but it was more lovely for it. There is a cellar door around the back, rotting off it's hinges and suggesting that the dug cellar may be larger than the building it's self. The roof has a high, slightly bowed roof and a dusty circular window in the eave. We reach it in just a few moments, and the Doctor announces that going into the basement to make out is the best possible plan for this scenario. Me-Peri concurs and we start for the basement.
This is where I woke up.
