Amarus was dressed in one of the only other outfits she now owned, which looked remarkably like her usual style. It had been a debate between this, and the strange tightly-fitting "nurse" outfit that she'd found at Pins & Needles. She smoothed her hands over her dress, folded them casually into the kuji-kiri for Toh and then addressed the camera.
"I was told that I should open with a joke," Amarus began, her voice smooth and soft, mirror-silver eyes betraying no emotion, "but I have no sense of humour."
She then paused, perhaps too long, and smiled: "Just kidding." Her face lit up, and relaxed; proof that her time spent at Amityville had changed her. It was undeniable she still had a predatory edge to her, but on the other hand, she now looked approachable-- and, most importantly, she was still very smartly dressed. "I am Amarus, Lotus Eater. Others may be more familiar with my, ah, baking talents by now. If you are not, please feel free to ask me for a sample when you see me in the halls. I am always happy to oblige, and I always have something delicious to nibble on," she suggested, her eyes glinting as she smiled wider.
"As a candidate for Public Relations, I would like to propose an event that would allow students to showcase their own personal style..." she thought of Aymet's terrifying mode of dress, of Zel's elegance, of Olivia's cuteness, Kettil's handsomeness, and even of Freya's... well, Freya's hotness. Glossing over that last thought: "A fashion show, but most importantly, it would showcase Clubs and even Sports Teams-- student clubs would be invited to create a couple outfits and our Sports teams could showcase their team spirit via uniforms or team colours; they could then recruit students to model them, for a Runway gala."
Amarus paused, to let the full weight of that sink in. She held up the apron she personally wore when she baked as an example. "I could submit this apron for the Baking Club, for example," she said, "and perhaps the Clubs and Teams could sell the items afterwards, to accrue funds."
The speech part of her campaign couldn't allow her to exercise her personal aura, which was a shame, and it also didn't let her distribute baked goods. But she could do that in person later, right? Soothe, calm, interact. "It would even provide an opportunity for our news clubs and anyone interested in photography to get some experience," she added, talking the event up further.
"Again, my name is Amarus, and on top of providing delicious baked goods and a sense of comfort, I would definitely contribute a sense of, ah, flair to school events... I suspect we could use it," she said, eying some of the crusty old decorations the gnomes had put up.
As her very last filmed act, Amarus winked into the camera, with a sly smile: it was as if she was letting them in on a secret.
