Character Description: Captain Runestone stands tall at six feet, always looking forward and never backward. Her clothes are dusty and tattered from the years of work she has done. Her fiery red hair has been considered a mark from the Devil himself. When asked about it, she just states it's easier to ignore blood that lands in her hair if it stays red all the time. Her leather boots are tattered and worn down to where they look like they could fall apart at any moment, but they still hang in there. Looped around her waist is a belt of many pockets containing miscellaneous bits of metal, tools, and leather. Her face is always stoic and stern. Her voice can be considered gentle, yet firm. Most people that cross her path try to avoid eye contact with her, especially when they see her weaponry or her ship.

Ship Description: The main body of the ship is 75 meters long by 30 meters wide. On both the starboard and port sides are structures 20 meters by 10 meters that have large propellers on top of them, not unlike a helicopter. The rudders of the ship are located at each of these structures and the hull of the ship. It had lodging for up to 50 individuals and hosts a relatively decent sized galley. The cargo hold is relatively spacious in order to keep 50 crew members well fed for journeys that may take a number of months. The wheel house is located on a tower in the center of the ship.

History of Araiya: Captain Runestone was not always a captain. In fact, she was the daughter of a rather unknown tinkerer. Yes, the village she grew up in knew her father as he was the one always fixing things. However, he had a saying, "Sometimes good enough is good enough." He would never overdo any of his projects. He wanted to be considered average. The reason for this was that her father was being dogged by the military for his knowledge of design plans for a stealthy vessel. One day, he was finally caught and murdered. Araiya ran off to protect herself and traveled from village to village, using the tinkerer skills she acquired from her father. It wasn't until the military started looking for the "tinkerer prodigy" that she finally understood her father's saying. Eventually, she found her way onto the Airship Fool's Paradise as the navigator and tinkerer. She invented a new mechanism to steer the massive ship so it only took one person at the helm. Illness took the captain and on his death bed told Araiya she was the new captain. With that, she renamed the vessel and sailed off into the distance. She has been sailing as captain of the newly named Airship Night's Journey for 4 years now.
