This whole place made him restless. There was just something in the air that he didn't like. Shards, he had only been there for two days and he already didn't like it. Though he didn't plan on leaving, his mother was going to be staying when some of his wing would be leaving, and he planned on staying with her. After all someone needed to watch over her in this crazy place. He rolled around in his bed, trying and failing to get comfortable.
Finally he gave up. "Seth, let's go bug Alia and Melangth." he said standing up. Seth had been about to fall asleep, but he figued he could fall asleep with Melangth as long as the younger blue allowed it. 'I hope yours is awake... We're coming over.' he told Melangth sleepily as A'vin jumped on.
Once he took off it wasn't long before he was at their weyr, after all A'vin had made sure he knew where her weyr was when she moved in. She was one of his longest and closes friends. It was important to him, and plus he knew that he would be coming late to see her if he couldn't sleep. "Hey sleepy wake up, I'm coming in.You better be dressed." he joked as he dismounted Seth.

On his couch, Melangth stirred to the sound of another dragon's voice. He had been dozing, but not heavily. So there was no grogginess, and no grumpiness of one just woken present in his mind. Just a gentle coming into consciousness at the touch of the bronze's mind. Opening his eyes briefly to check, Melangth rumbled in amusement.
Alia was sprawled out on the floor, scribbling away. Wired, with just a little too much klah in her system to get her through this last set of reports, she sat amid a pile of papers, trying to compose the day's ramblings into a set of coherent notes. Although she had one, Alia rarely worked on a desk. Simply not enough room!
<Mine is always awake.> he rumbled, sleepy enough that fondness instead of wryness crept into his voice. Lifting himself up, he moved over a few paces to make room for the bronze, should he need it, before settling back down. <Seth's is coming over.> he said to Alia, before closing his eyes and returning to his state half-sleep. "What? A'vin is?" she asked, livening up at once.
Alia had trouble enough sleeping in the best of conditions, being something of an insomniac. When working a case (and they were very nearly always working a case), she often slept no more than a few hours every night. But here, it was just insane. Besides the sheer tension of the situation, and the dozen or more interviews needing to be prepared for or put together, Warden's reeked of a place that never sleeps. There was never silence, never stillness, just endless shifts and patrols. Besides the sun in the sky and whers instead of dragons patrolling the walls, nothing seemed to change between night and day here. Of course, Alia loved it. But that wasn't necessarily a good thing.
Having given up on sleep a long time ago, she had consumed enough klah to at least make her functional and then committed herself to getting something productive done. But now she was almost out of work, yet neither the caffeine nor the insomnia had worn off. And A'vin was just the distraction she needed! She shuffled her papers into a single pile which she dropped on her unused desk and kicked whatever mess was left under her bed. Although she was already clothed, she pulled her hair back in a rough bun, just as A'vin arrived at her weyr.
Reaching over to the door, she yanked the handle so it would swing open and finished tying her hair. "Dressed to impress." she called back, joking, and beckoning him in. "What's up? Couldn't sleep?"

Once he landed Seth made sure that Melangth was comfortable, or at least it seemed that way since he was dozing off, before making himself comfortable as well. He had known the blue for many turns, A'vin had become friends with Alia pretty fast and plus he enjoyed the company of the blue. While some other bronzes saw themselves about the other colors Seth had never even considered it. It took all colors to make a functional wing. He knew that. 'Thank you...' the bronze told the blue as he too drifted off to sleep.
A'vin shook his head at the two dragons. Whatever was keeping both he and Alia up didn't seem to be effecting their dragons. Then again he knew that Seth could sleep just about anywhere at any time.
"As always, I'm impressed." he said back jokingly before pulling her into a hug. "Yeah there is just something about this place that doesn't allow me to sleep. I figure sooner or later I'll get use to it, but for now it's horrible." he looked around the room. "How much klah have you consumed tonight?" he teased. She never did sleep much, some people were like that, but he had a feeling that this place would affect her much like it did him.

Alia chuckled before letting herself get pulled into A'vin's massive hug. "I know." she agreed. "This place never dies down, does it? It's like there's always something going on." And then, with a wicked grin; "I love it!"
In a move that half head-butting, and half leaning on him, Alia let her head fall against A'vin's chest. Even if she liked the atmosphere here, she was worried about her friend. She didn't know if it was official yet or not, but she'd heard rumours of his plan to stay behind when most of the wing left. "Are you really going to stay here, A'vin?" she asked, pouting. What would she do without her favourite sparring buddy? If he stayed, and she left..
Emotions swelled within her, then stilled. Melangth's influence was ever-present in her mind, even when the dragon himself was not. Smile returning to her face, Alia bounced back, glancing around her room when A'vin did. "Oh.. Not that much." she said, with a shrug, although she was practically jittering with energy. From his couch and without opening his eyes, Melangth made a noise somewhere between a snort and a scoff that perfectly, wordlessly conveyed the sentiment of 'wherryshit'. Alia glared, but as ever, Melangth gave no response. So she ignored him and turned back to A'vin.
"Anyway.. what're you up to? Looking for something to kill the time?" she asked, grin widening. If so, his timing was perfect. "'Cause I literally just now finished what I was working on and I could use something to wind down."
