E'koyo

Name: E'koyo
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Craft/Rank: Watchrider

Appearance: With a lithe build, E'koyo is not that impressive to look at. He has narrow shoulders and a slim waist, and looks incredibly skinny no matter what he eats. He is surprisingly muscular though, even if he might not look it, from his turns of being a rider, and as a member of the dragon watch.

His features are mostly unremarkable, except for perhaps his nose. It is slightly beak-like and crooked, from where it healed improperly after a break. He has almond shaped dark green eyes. He keeps his golden blond hair cut short.

He prefers to wear clothing that are brightly colored, the brighter the better. Even his riding gear is not excepted from this, as he specially ordered it to be a rich blue, one that was about the color of his dragon. It is rare for him to not match, and his clothes are always well taken care of.

Personality: Like many harpers, E'koyo wants to know what's going on, even if it's nothing to do with him. He has a curious streak a mile long, and no inhibitions when it comes to fufilling it. He will do just about anything to figure something out, even if it's outrageous. Especially if it's outrageous.

That's what makes life fun.

He's incredibly observant, and if something has changed, trust E'koyo to notice. He may not reconigze what it is at first, but once he knows something has changed, he'll put all his attention on figuring out what. He hates not knowing things.

That's why he likes people so much, and why he tries to spend as much time around him. They are a puzzle, a curiosity, and he enjoys spending time around them. He will happily interact with anyone who crosses his path, no matter who they are, or what rank they hold. He genuinely likes people, though he's not blind to their faults. He knows that nobody's perfect, and that's fine with him. Life would be awfully boring if they were, and that would be no fun at all.

He's not fond of things getting dull, and if they are, well, E'koyo will be there with something, anything, he can think of to liven things up. And probably not anything that's expected either. He doesn't like to be predictable, and aims his actions accordingly.

He isn't the most patient, and wants things to happen now. This can lead him to taking risks, sometimes unneccessary ones, especially when he acts before thinking.

History: Born to a pair of harpers, Elekoyo was raised and trained to become one himself. He was the third child of a family of three, the second boy born to the family.

They were never pushed beyond their abilities, and were encouraged to follow their interests, as long as their work was done. It was a fairly good life for a kid, and Elekoyo learned all sorts of skills that he would find useful later.

He had every intention to become a harper of all trades, not specializing in anything, but before he had earned the right to walk the tables, he was searched.

It had been completely unexpected, coming after a performance at the gather, but the boy couldn't help going with the rider. He would have a chance to stand, to possibly impress a dragon, something that the fifteen year old had always dreamed of doing.

Candidate lessons were nothing out of the usual, being used to having lessons, and then, the hatching came.

It was during the evening, after dinner, and things went fairly well. Most of the hatchlings found theirs without many issues, though a brown mauled a handful of girls, and during this Elekoyo found himself impressed to one of the smaller blues in the clutch. His name was Agith.

The pair had few problems during weyrling training, succeeding where they tried, and occasionally being scolded for doing things that they shouldn't be doing. he eventually graduated, and then a couple years later, applied to become part of the watch.

He was accepted and went through training, being assigned a wing once he had completed it. There was plenty of work to be done, and he easily found a niche for himself, his harper training turning out to be useful.

Most recently, his wing has been sent to Warden's, as a honor guard to the new queen. They showed up to chaos, and now, are talking to those of the weyr about what happened. None of it sounds good, and E'koyo is starting to thing that there's something rotten going on here.

Dragon/Wher Name

Name: Agith
Color: Blue
Age: 11
Appearance: A rich royal colored blue, Agith is a slender and feminine looking dragon. He's built much like a green, and is about the size of a large one, in the lower spectrum of blue sizes.

He is mostly solid colored, with a lighter color splotch around one eye, and three spots towards the end of his tail.
Personality: Unlike the average dragon, the blue has a longer than average memory recall, something that helps him when he and his rider are out on the field. He is able to remember what he sees, and since he likes to observe, it tends to be surprisingly helpful.

He stays very aware of his surroundings, and loves to listen to humans gossiping. One can learn the most interesting things from that, especially when he can nudge E'koyo into asking the right questions, something that isn't exactly hard. He likes to gossip too, and will talk to anyone, but he knows that sometimes it is easier for a human to talk to another human.

He has nothing but the best of intentions. He likes to see people happy, and if that means he has to meddle, well, so be it. It's easier to ask forgiveness than permission.

Not that he ever asks for forgiveness. He believes in his plans, and if things happen that shouldn't, it's not his fault. This can lead E'koyo into all sorts of messes, and his rider will often find himself apologizing for whatever mischief the blue may have caused.

He adores children, and hatchlings, as he likes to watch them grow into their potential. And nudge them into it if necessary. If he can help at least one person, he's happy, though he'd prefer to help everyone.

He despises being dirty, and will often demand to be washed and oiled. This was more of a problem when he was a hatching, but he still prefers to look his best.
