Skills:
Hand-to-Hand Combat: While never formally trained, Taz has been involved with many fights over her long life, and is quite formidable when her ferocity, superhuman abilities, and her healing factor especially are factored in.

Tracking: Through years spent with aboriginals of Australia and Tasmania, and with her superhuman senses factoring in, Taz is very efficient at hunting down both animals and human beings across large areas of land, even with minimal resources.

Survival: Taz is very adept and comfortable with spending long bouts of time in the wilderness, and can survive on her own very several weeks to months with very little; this is in part to her superhuman toughness, and also thanks to her skills themselves.

Powers:
Regenerative Healing Factor: Like most lupines, Taz's main mutant ability is an accelerated healing factor that allows her to rapidly regenerate lost or damaged bones and tissues. It is effective enough to allow the reconstitution of lost limbs and organs within a few minutes, depending on the severity of the injury. This healing capability affords her several other superhuman attributes:

-Foreign Chemical Immunity: Taz's body is totally immune to any forms of toxins, poisons, or drugs, unless they are in ungodly large amounts, and even then she will still recover from their effects.

-Disease Immunity: She is incapable of suffering any ill-effects from Earth-born sicknesses, diseases, viruses, infections, and disorders, thanks to her incredibly robust immune system.

-Superhumanly Acute Senses: All of Taz's senses are heightened beyond the human range. She is capable of retaining intense clarity of vision, even in total darkness, and detecting sounds that would otherwise go unnoticed by human ears. Her sense of smell and taste are likewise enhanced, allowing her to track things even with the faintest hint of a scent, and pick out minute traces of tastes on items.

-Superhuman Durability: All of Taz's muscles, bones, and tissues are tougher than that of a normal human, allowing her to take more damage before actually getting injured in the first place.

-Superhuman Stamina: Because of her effectively enhanced musculature, Taz is capable of exerting herself for a little over twenty-four ours before fatigue begins to impair her.

-Superhuman Agility: Taz's bodily balance, coordination, and agility are beyond the limits of even the finest human athlete.

-Superhuman Strength: Taz's durability allows her to lift around a solid ton, nearing two, if she strains herself.

-Superhuman Reflexes: Similar to her agility, Taz's reflexes are beyond the scope of normal humans, even the most highly trained of them.

-Longevity: Despite the fact that she is nearly three-hundred-years-old, Taz is still physically at her prime, with all the vitality and beauty that go with it.

Retractable Bone Claws: As with other members of the lupine sub-race of mutants, Taz has a total of six retractable claws made of her own incredibly dense bone under the skin and muscle tissues of her arms. She has, between her first and third knuckles of each hand, two eleven-inch-long blades which are housed in her forearm and pierce her skin as they un-sheath. There is another which actually protrudes, pointing backwards, from her elbow, and is somewhat visible along the side of her arm when extended. The blades are a similar color to normal human bones, but with a slightly more grey appearance. These blades can be extended independently, or all at once, and are many times more durable than normal bone, allowing her to cut through metals with enough force.

-Shamanistic Engravings: In addition to the tracking and hunting knowledge she was afforded by aboriginals, Taz also learned a fair amount of ritualistic magic from the tribes of Australia and Tasmania, to the point where she herself was able to perform, with assistance, a special ceremony of her own. Engraving the sides of each claw with a special blade which was able to bore into her bones without her healing factor kicking up, she now possesses increased durability in her claws which rivals most metals, and can mentally channel energy into the engravings which causes them to glow red-hot, and slice through most substances with the efficiency of a hot knife through butter.

Psychological/Personality Attributes and Attitudes

Intelligence Level: Average, but with more emphasis on social and world smarts than formal education.

Patience level: Surprisingly high, but only when dealing with those she likes.

Overall Personality/Psychoanalysis: Having lived a very long, vastly wilderness-oriented life, Taz is incredibly casual, go-with-the-flow, and not too fancy with her behavior. She is very likely to tell exactly how she's feeling, cuss, and flirt with anyone around her, all going back to her full awareness of the fact that very little can kill her, and she has a very long lifespan. It has been a very long time since she has let small things like being poor, or little injuries irritate her, and she can be surprisingly forgiving, even with people who try to harm her. This forgiveness is also what leads her to be less inclined to kill people who aren't actively attempting to attack her.

She is very open to little pleasures in the world, such as sex and even general companionship. It's very easy for her to find reason to smile, and she seems fairly comfortable in most places people would be less inclined to be. Her temper can generally be pressed by those who abuse her casual demeanor, and those who press rules and strict regulations usually get her finger, or a claw. When it comes to getting close to people, Taz is more likely to confide with those she knows are, like herself, prone to a long life.

Motto/Personal quote: "Life's too long ta pass up the lil' things."

Most prized possession: Her hat, which she's hand for decades.

Background Story: Tessa Blackwood was born in 1720 to a pair of English nobles in Yorkshire. She was the third child of the family, and a welcome addition to her two older brothers. However, as with many children in those years, she took ill to a case of smallpox during her first year of life and was not expected to recover. Her parents were shocked when, after ailing for nearly a week, she seemed to make a full recovery, coming back with perfect health, as a result of the latent lupine mutations in her body. Seen as a miracle child to her family, she enjoyed a rather privileged childhood, or as close as a girl could get in those days. Many around her were skeptical of her apparent great physical ability, as she was noted in her recovery of injuries which would've normally taken days to heal; rumors of sorcery, while mostly belonging to those with no great voice at the time, were still present.

Tessa was fifteen years of age when a routine ride along the countryside took a turn for the worse. The road and weather conditions led to her carriage being taken for a spill down a rather large hill, and her driver was killed in the crash, along with her friend Julia who had been riding with her. Waking up in the wreckage, seemingly unharmed, yet rattled, she wondered into a farming family, rambling of her crash. A few of the men of the family went with her to see if anyone could be saved, but a group of highwaymen were also present at the wreckage. After a scuffle which left the farming men dead, the brigands took Tessa with them to their base. Coming to in chains, Tessa feared for her fate as the bandits debated what be done with her.

Calling upon her strength, she snapped the chains and attempted an escape after nearly three days in a cell, only to be stabbed by her captors. Instead of falling, however, Tessa's wounds healing rapidly, and for the first time she underwent the lupine right of passage of "popping claws". Flailing, attacking in a panic, she slaughtered her captors. Left with the bodies of the criminals around her, Tessa was, understandably, incredibly frightened. She retracted her claws, and set off into the rural lands around her in hopes of finding her way home. Once back in Yorkshire, she found her family, and confided in them her recent discoveries regarding her healing and newfound claws. Shocked, upset, and showing a startling lack of understanding, Tessa was kicked out of her home, with only the funds and supplies she could carry on her.
