The Forest of Inspiration and Creation is an ecological oasis in the Land of Rain created by the Yakuzain Clan.Since its creation it has been used as a training ground for the academy and housed several sacred treasures. As such, was rigged with traps to protect against bandits and ninja not of the village.

The Forest home to diverse and flourishing wildlife, seemingly due to the special properties of its spring waters, which Zhi Ming Yakuzen states are "overflowing with the Yin of inspiration." The forest's radius is about thirty kilometers and lies north of the village.Its size is so great that it can host other large animals as well as other natural and man-made structures. Scattered around the area are groupings of special trees that produce a genjutsu-like effect, giving ninja who train here a chance to test their skills and gain resistance to genjutsu. The forest was made by the five Yakuzain as a gift to the village.The forest can be broken into five sections shown by four gates.

The northern gate is based on the Black Tortoise (玄武, Genbu)and provides a training environment for Suiton users. The eastern gate is based on the Azure Dragon (青龍, Seiryū) and deals with Lightning Style users. The southern gate is based on the Vermilion Bird (朱雀, Suzaku) which utilizes Wind and Fire Style Chakra.The fourth gate is the western gate based on the White Tiger (白虎, Byakko) and utilizes unique Metal Chakra .The final gate is Huáng-lóng (黃龍), also called the Yellow Dragon of the Center. It is associated with the cardinal direction of "center," and its element is Earth.It is the only gate other than Byakko that is not used by Ame-ninja exclusively and is open to other villages without permission.
