Kaseyoda Mantama
~Judgement~

User Image
[ P e r s o n a l - D a t a ]

Full Name: Kaseyoda Wakuisa Mantama

Famous Shinobi Name: During his long and illustrious stint as ANBU, he was known by both friends and enemies as simply "Judgement."

Gender: Male

Age: 29

Birth Date: April 7

Loyalty: The people of Sunagakure are Mantama's first, and only priority. He does not answer to the government, nor to leaders, but works only for the betterment of all the common people of his village.

Goal: Like his hokage, Mantama's goal is to protect his village and all of it's inhabitants.

Nindo:
"Those who are unwilling to dirty their hands, or sacrifice, for the greater good are not fit to lead."

"Why should I respect bureaucracy? They're the bitter old men and women who send the gullible young men and women off to die."

"Justice? I am your judge, jury, and executioner."

Homeland: Mantama was born and raised in the Wind Country, though he has traveled many, many other places.

Current Residence: Sunagakure

Rank: A-Rank

Title: "Judgement"

Clan: No major clan.

Kekkei Genkai: None, other than a slight affinity with swords.

Personality/Mannerism: Mantama, or Manta as most call him, is a rather serious man. He rarely speaks, preferring to let others speak their minds, but when there is something that needs be said, he will say it, and he will make sure that people hear. In essence, Mantama wants peace, but he is pragmatic and realizes that someone needs to get the job done, and take some blame for the consequences that will obviously occur soon afterwards.

Facial Features: He has a slice on his cheek from a sword-fighting accident in which the sheath of his opponent's blade was accidentally loosened, and Mantama's cheek was sliced open before his opponent could withdraw. However, it is a testament to Mantama's own agility and speed, as he just was barely nicked by an attack that would have lopped off his head.

Physique: Manta is a rather somberperson, which is something most expect of the young man, seeing as he dresses almost exclusively in black. The shirt-like thing he wears in the picture above serves as a flak jacket as well as a shirt, made of a high-density fibber infused with chakra, making it incredibly dense yet lightweight. Also, it serves as a life-jacket. Manta himself has medium-length, jet black hair, which spikes up in all directions.Manta has an above-average build, but isn't completely muscled like a body-builder would be. Rather, he has a martial artist's body, with tightly compressed muscle in an average frame. Finally, Manta's hands are his pride and joy. They are long and supple, slender things of beauty, which Manta uses to his advantage. His deft, precise hand movements add to his already impressive ability with shuriken, and even when not in a fight, Manta's hands are almost always kept busy with a lute that he plays whenever not on duty or in class.

Height: 6' 0"

Weight: 175 lbs

Personal Skill: The Lute, Shamisen, and a few other instruments. Mantama also is a superb swordsman, arguably one of the best in the land. On a completely unrelated note, the only other area of non-work related interest that Mantama has is that of food, and he really does love food.

Favorite Food/Drink:
He enjoys lamb, primarily, but as a general connoisseur of food, he can appreciate good cooking of any kind.

Least Favorite Food:
Anything with excessive ketchup.

Likes:
Music, training, occasional visits to the hot spring, and peace.

Dislikes:
Disorder, laziness, and badly cooked food.

[ C o m b a t - D a t a ]

Special Tactic/Skills:
Mantama is renowned throughout Suna as a swordsman of great power, arguably Sunagakure's best. His family, the Kaseyoda clan, was once a powerful clan of swordsmen in the Land of Wind about two hundred years ago, and Mantama has reclaimed his heritage, learning three distinctive swords styles, which I will discuss in the Jutsu section. The three styles are as follows:

1. Kaze de naegi, or Saplings in the Wind. This style emphasizes constant movement, and a oneness with the surroundings. An extremely defensive style, this one is the first of the three ancient Kaseyoda styles, and has taught Mantama flexibility, not to mention the incredible endurance his body has, simply from having to always be moving, in the most efficient ways possible.

2. Ikari no nami, or the Waves of Rage. This style emphasizes quick, brutal attacks, from as many sides as possible. A rolling motion, crashing down upon the opponent, usually in upward strikes. A very offensive style, Ikari no Nami has taught Mantama both strength and speed, forcing him to always be attacking with overwhelming power, absolutely obliterating an opponent.

3. Mori o Moyashite, or The Burning Forest. A fiery, powerful form, emphasizing efficiency. This form of swordsmanship was usually given to only masters of the Kaseyoda swords-styles, and the last known practitioner of Mori o Moyashite was Kutare, Mantama's great-grandfather. Mori o Moyashite literally causes Mantama's pores to open up, allowing him to use fire techniques to an alarmingly powerful degree.

Battle Strength:
Absolutely efficient
Legendary swordsmanship
Lots of battle experience
Extremely Intelligent

Battle Weakness:
Terrible healer
Rather cold, so he can't work well with large groups
No patience for weak or lazy comrades.
Awful at handling cold

Kekkei Genkai Jutsu:

Ninjutsu:

E Rank Jutsu:

Transformation Technique: Given all the missions ninja are assigned to - battle, intelligence gathering, diversions - this is a priceless ninjutsu. It is typically used to change into people other than oneself, but one also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons.

Clone Technique: A ninjutsu that creates an intangible copy of one's own body, without any substance. Since the clone itself doesn't have the ability to attack, and thus can only be used to confuse the enemy, it is mainly used in combination with other ninjutsu. It's a basic technique, but depending on one's ingenuity, it can be used effectively. The clones will dissipate when they come into contact with something.

Rope Escape Technique: A basic technique taught at the Academy. It allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. How this is done is unknown.

Cloak of Invisibility Technique: This technique allows a ninja to take a cloak or a piece of cloth to blend into an object, making them invisible.

Body Replacement Technique: With this technique, users replace their own body with some other object, generally with a block of wood, the moment an attack lands. This creates an optical illusion, making the enemy think the attack was successful. From this, the user can use the lapse in the enemy's attention to attack or flee from the battlefield. Explosive tags can be attached to the replacement for an added surprise. It's a basic ninjutsu even taught at the Academy, but it's a useful art that can be applied in variety of situations.

D Rank Jutsu:

Body Flicker Technique: The Body Flicker Technique is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short to long distances at an almost untraceable speed.

Manipulated Shuriken Technique: With this technique a translucent string, both elastic and highly durable, is attached to a shuriken, making it possible to alter its path after having thrown it. An expert will have the ability to freely glide the shuriken in any direction with just a single movement of their fingertip. The first attack, challenging the enemy, is avoided and after a time-lag of several seconds, it will come from behind. Depending on the performance, the possible tactics can be infinite.

Temporary Paralysis Technique: A technique that physically restrains an opponent, as if the opponent had been tied in invisible steel ropes. It debilitates the victim for a short period of time, which allows the user to either strike again, or take the target into custody. This is a D-rank ninjutsu where the intensity will vary greatly according to the user's level of skill. The technique can also be cast on every target at once, depending on the user's skill, and won't fail a shinobi during his missions.

C Rank:

Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique: This technique creates a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction.

Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique: A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most genin should not be able to do this technique.

Wind Release: Great Breakthrough: This is a relatively simple technique that creates a sudden gust of wind, but its scale varies greatly depending on the user. If used by a superior shinobi, it has enough destructive power to knock down a large tree. The wind from the squall can blow away all things in the user's line of sight. A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

Earth Release: Earthern Wall:The user creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defence, manipulating a pre-existing ground to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. Though weak, the walls can serve as a makeshift blockade when formed by several users, slowing down large, powerful attacks.

B Rank:

A Rank:

Rasengan: The Rasengan is a powerful A-rank technique invented by the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, which he created by observing the Tailed Beast Ball. Minato spent three years developing the Rasengan; his plan was to take the shape transformation of one's chakra to the "highest possible point" and then combine it with his chakra's nature affinity, creating a technique that did not need the aid of time-consuming hand seals to control. He died before he could accomplish this, but on shape transformation alone, the Rasengan is still a very useful, powerful, versatile, and difficult technique to learn and master.

S Rank:

Lightning Cutter: The Lightning Cutter is an enhanced and concentrated form of the Chidori with the same effects and drawbacks. According to Might Guy, it gained its name after Kakashi split a bolt of lightning with it. Because the Chidori is already powerful on its own, the Lightning Cutter requires better chakra control, which is exemplified in its appearance. The Chidori appears as simply a mass of white electrical chakra in the user's hand, while the Lightning Cutter is more focused and blue.

Genjutsu:

D Rank:

Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique: This is a genjutsu that reveals the fears that dwell inside people's hearts. Everyone has an image of the one thing they wouldn't want to ever see. This genjutsu is a technique that draws forth such an image from within the heart and has one mistake it for reality. First, an imaginary circle of leaves will spin around and envelop the target, falling away shortly after. After a short period, the illusion will begin. This is to make the illusion more convincing, since the user will likely have moved before the illusion sets in. If the mental image is a gruesome one, the shock will be accordingly great.

Taijutsu:

C Rank:

Shadow of the Dancing Leaf: A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. This move by itself is harmless, but it is usable as a stepping stone for a great many powerful techniques like Front Lotus and the Lion Combo. That being said, it also has a rather high degree of difficulty.

B Rank:

Flying Swallow: An addition-line ninjutsu that augments the killing power of a blade — like a kunai or sword — by flowing chakra into it. The materialised chakra is shaped like a blade, cutting up everything it touches. It is also possible to alter the attack range of the weapon by adjusting the amount of chakra put into the blade. Seeing through the movements is said to be very difficult.
The density of the chakra is so high it becomes visible. It not only raises the power of the weapon, but simultaneously turns oneself into a blade as well. The chakra-enhanced blades are strong and sharp enough to cut through solid rock and iron. The technique works best with elemental chakra, especially with wind-natured chakra which greatly increases the offensive cutting power.
This is one of Mantama's favorite attacks, by far.

Doujutsu:
None.

Kenjutsu:

B Rank:

Longsword of the Sky: This is a technique that allows Mantama to levitate either of his swords and attack foes at mid-range. The blade will move according to his finger movements.

Chidori Katana: This technique allows Mantama to channel the Chidori through Rai-Ki No Ken. This makes it nearly unblockable as the radiating and chirping blade can easily cut through steel. Furthermore, if an opponent is stabbed, their body goes numb due to an electrical current which causes the muscles to go numb, making it impossible for the opponent to move.

Iaido: The term Iaidō (居合道) refers to a specific style of kenjutsu that is concerned with the smooth, controlled movements of drawing the sword from its scabbard, striking or cutting an opponent, removing blood from the blade, and then replacing the sword in the scabbard. The linear motion and force applied to draw the sword from the scabbard results in slashes that are faster and stronger than ones executed with the sword already drawn.
The speed at which these techniques can be executed — the initial strike in particular — is such, that when performed by a skilled user, it can prevent enemy shinobi from forming hand seals (and thus ninjutsu), by exploiting the small opening that these movements create. This makes them highly effective against most shinobi and potentially, those of even Hanzō's calibre, if performed by one who has mastered the style, such as Mifune.

Iai Beheading: Adhering to the principles of Iaidō, the user performs a quick and powerful slash with their sword in order to cut the intended target, before immediately resheathing the blade afterwards. When used by Mifune, the technique was strong enough to cleanly slice open the large head of Hanzō's salamander, Ibuse.

A Rank:

Dance of the Crescent Moon: The user creates three shadow clones, and each one of them assaults the enemy from a blind spot. The attack occurs on three fronts simultaneously, so it's almost impossible to catch them flat-footed. Furthermore, the mighty attacks are so severe that receiving a blow even from one among the three will inevitably result in a fatal wound. In addition, because of the magnificence this ninjutsu projects as they jump at the opponent's upper body in an orbital pattern, the elegance of which is reminiscent of the shape of a crescent moon.

Samurai Sabre Technique: Unique to Samurai, this technique employs the concept of Chakra Flow similar to the Flying Swallow and Sword of Kusanagi: Chidori Katana techniques. Through the use of chakra flow, the user channels their chakra through their swords, extending both the reach and cutting ability of the blade, while allowing the user to fire crescents of chakra whenever the blade is swung. This released chakra is capable of great destruction, as shown from how these projectiles completely penetrated a considerable stone pillar, before continuing to damage the immediate surroundings.
The samurai have also shown the ability to use shape transformation during the implementation of this technique, sculpting their respective chakra blades into various rudimentary weapons that extend beyond the natural dimensions of their original swords; such as broadswords, spiked shafts and even axes. This capability allows them to rely on smaller swords while retaining greater reach, damage and the possibility of conducting surprise attacks as necessary.

S Ranked:

Lightning Cutter Transformation: Sword of the Storm:

Mantama begins with his sword sheathed, relaxing his body and closing his eyes. Concentrating almost all of his chakra into his blade, he springs forward, quickly whipping out his blade in front of him. Similar to the way that sages can pull chakra from the earth, Mantama begins to pull chakra out of the very air, concentrating it all within the sword. As he channels the chakra, he converts it into lightning-release, covering the sword in crackling electricity. Finally, he summons two Kage Bunshin clones, who weave chakra around his sword. When it is done, he can swing out with his sword, unleashing a massive arc of lightning-release chakra, almost a hundred meters long, capable of mass destruction. This technique can only be used once per three battles, and using it will leach Mantama of his energy entirely, leaving him very vulnerable to attack. Also, when using this technique, he is unable to use any others, and so, only uses it once he has absolutely committed to entirely eradicating his opponents.

Kirin: Kirin is an extremely powerful, one-shot, lightning technique created by Sasuke Uchiha. He draws natural lightning directly from thunder clouds to supplement the power of his strike and controls it with chakra. Unlike most techniques, which are based on the user's chakra, this one uses natural lightning, which — as noted by Zetsu — reaches the ground in 1/1000th of a second. However, the preparation time required also decreases the technique's efficiency. If there are no active thunder clouds, the user must create them by using powerful fire techniques to produce the necessary storm conditions.
Once a lightning source has been acquired, shaping and guiding the lightning to the target requires very little chakra. In addition, usage seems to disperse the thunder clouds as the sky cleared up of clouds after use. As such, this technique can only be used once in a fight. Also, Mantama hasn't quite yet mastered this technique, and so, will only use it as a total last-ditch effort, as he can't fully control the lightning, and it has just as high a chance of killing him as it does his opponents.

Fuuinjutsu:
None.

Summoning Jutsu:
None.

[ E q u i p m e n t - D a t a ]

Headband Location: Hilt of Sword

Headband Style: Mantama's headband actually isn't a headband. He put the metal part of the band around his sword, basically engraving the Sand symbol into the hilt, then filling the engraving in with silver.

Clothing: Mantama is usually wearing his black jacket-like garment, or a simple tight black shirt and a green vest, with pauldrons. Also, he usually wears the baggy pants, or a hakama.

Cherished Items: Mantama's most valuable possessions are definitely his swords, though he also holds his lute in high regard.

Special Weapons: A Katana, known as Rai-ki No Ken, or Lightning Slicing Blade. It is an A-rank weapon.

He can use Chakra Flow techniques through the blade. It is made of an extremely durable alloy of metals, capable of taking a massive amount of hits before dulling the slightest. Rai-ki seems to naturally let lightning release chakra flow through.

In addition to its chakra-flow abilities, Rai-ki can channel natural lightning as well as lightning-release chakra, allowing Mantama a small degree of control, in the event of storms.
