Wondered about the "fighting" system, seems a bit too luck based to me.
Here's what I suggest:
1d100 dice ->
1 - 10 -- Critical failure
11 - 49 -- Moderate failure
50 - 90 -- Fair success
90 - 100 -- Critical success
First the initiator rolls and then the 'defender', one with higher dice begins. The winner rolls his/her dice and depending on it's results, describes the action. Second the 'defender' rolls and acts upon the dice's success.
Dismemberment, loss of ability and death and such would have to be agreed of course since... that'd be altering the character. That's just not cool, to constantly have to alter or create new characters.
So something along those lines.
