Hello everyone!!
My name is Alysa and I'm 20 years old! biggrin I have owned critters all my life! I currently own a 11 month old Saint Bernard named Abby, 2 Kittens named Gizmo and Gremlin and through my boyfriend I also have 2 gerbils, Sprite (after the little fairy creatures, not the pop lol) and Saphira (named after the Eragon's dragon lol). I am also going to be adopting a corn snake in a few days smile
I currently work at Petco as a groomer smile Although I'm not really a fan, I would much rather work at a shelter with the pets that truly appreciate all you do for them! There is such a huge difference between grooming dogs that are pampered and grooming shelter dogs.
So happy to join this guild biggrin D I have so many critters and questions that I can see myself becoming very active and making lots of new friends!! biggrin

Why don't you volunteer at the animal shelter as a groomer?
Walking shelter dogs, it has not been my experience that they 're super great at showing gratitude, lol. But that's one of the great things about dogs; they don't seem to know when they're underprivileged.

Technically I'm only a grooming assistant sad I help my friend who is a groomer, when they shave down the dogs that can't see and all of their fur is just one ginormous mat. They are just so happy to have it all gone, and we know we are making a difference. I want to find a shelter near me, the one my friend works at is like 45 min away!
And I do smile I will post them as soon as I figure out how! lol

And I do smile I will post them as soon as I figure out how! lol Are you talking about shaving the dogs at the petstore? Because if they're one big mat, they aren't a pampered pet, lol. That's negligence. But volunteering at the shelter is fun. You can use a site like photobucket or tinypic to upload and then paste the code into the reply box.

Little dog in stroller for lolz / to see if she actually would / empty umbrella strollers are sometimes even worse to push than ones with some weight in them.
Kid on leash - it's damn handy when you have a young one that wants to walk in crowds, especially when they're at that independant, no hand-holding stage or you have full hands or when you have more than two at a time.
