Alrighty... I've got the opprotunity to buy a peavey XXL, and I think it's a good buy for the amp. I can get it for 700$ Canadian that's 1.18*700 for USD. I think it's a good buy, but I really need someone else's opinion.
This is the substitute for a JSX for a while, at least until I get my student loans payed off. This is also an upgrade from a peavey rage 158... the one that EVERYONE has xd
Edit: it's actually something like 700 X 0.83 or something along that range for USD... I don't know what I was smoking when I thought of 1.18....

I'd go for it. Peavey's got good things going for it (I'd love a Classic 20,30,50, etc).

Wish I had the dough for a new amp, my Behringer's gettin crappier and crappier as my playing develops sad . My funds right now can barely keep up with my stompbox building, and i STILL dont have my Tube Screamer completed...

Hows the volume for bedroom playing? Can you get nice overdrive at reasonable levels?

Walmart guitars make me want to perform ritual suicide when I try to play them. I tried one one time and it buzzed out on all strings from the 1-5th frets!!!
